LANE KEEPING SYSTEM
LIMITATIONS
The lane keeping system only operates whenthe vehicle speed is greater than 40 mph(64 km/h).
The system works when the camera candetect at least one lane marking or the edgeof the road.
The lane keeping system may not correctlyoperate in any of the following conditions:
•The lane keeping system does not detectat least one lane marking.
•You switch the turn signal on.
•You apply direct steering, accelerate fastor brake hard.
•The vehicle speed is less than 40 mph(64 km/h).
•The anti-lock brake, stability control ortraction control system activates.
•The lane is too narrow.
•Something is obscuring the camera or itis unable to detect the lane markings dueto environment, traffic or vehicleconditions.
The lane keeping system may not correctlane positioning in any of the followingconditions:
•High winds.
•Uneven road surfaces.
•Heavy or uneven loads.
•Incorrect tire pressure.
SWITCHING THE LANE KEEPING
SYSTEM ON AND OFF
To activate the lane keepingsystem, press the button on theturn signal lever.
Note:The system stores the on or off settinguntil manually changed, unless it detects aMyKey™. If the system detects a MyKey™, itdefaults to on and the mode is set to alert.
Note: If the system detects a MyKey™,pressing the button does not affect the onor off status of the system. You can onlychange the mode and intensity settings.
SWITCHING THE LANE KEEPING
SYSTEM MODE
The lane keeping system has differentsettings that you can view or adjust usingthe information display.
The system stores the last known selectionfor each of these settings. You do not needto readjust your settings each time youswitch on the system.
To change the lane keeping system mode,use the instrument cluster display:
1.Using the instrument cluster displaycontrols on the steering wheel, selectSETTINGS.
2.Select Driver assistance.
3.Select Lane keeping system.
4.Select Mode.
5.Select a mode.

LANE KEEPING SYSTEM SETTINGS
To change the steering wheel vibration, usethe instrument cluster display:
1.Using the instrument cluster displaycontrols on the steering wheel, selectDriver Assist.
2.Select Lane Keeping Sys.
3.Select Alert Intensity.
4.Select a setting.
ALERT MODE
WHAT IS ALERT MODE
Alert mode vibrates the steering wheel whenit detects an unintended lane departure.
HOW DOES ALERT MODE WORK
When in alert mode, the lane keeping systemalerts you by vibrating the steering wheel.The intensity of the vibration is set throughthe lane keeping system menu.
AID MODE
WHAT IS AID MODE
Aid mode provides temporary steeringassistance toward the center of the lane.
HOW DOES AID MODE WORK
The lane keeping system aids you when anunintentional lane departure occurs. Thesystem provides a small steering input tomove the vehicle towards the center of thelane.

ALERT AND AID MODE
WHAT IS ALERT AND AID MODE
Alert and aid mode uses multiple features tokeep you in your lane. The system firstprovides a small steering input to bring yourvehicle back towards the center of the lane.If your vehicle moves too far out of the centerof the lane the system alerts you withvibration in the steering wheel.

The lane keeping system detects a lanedeparture and provides aid when thevehicles enters B and applies the additionalalert warning if A is entered.

If you switch the lane keeping system on, agraphic with lane markings appears in theinformation display.
When you switch the system off, the lanemarking graphics do not display.
Note:The overhead vehicle graphic may stilldisplay if adaptive cruise control is enabled.

Note:The system may not correctly operatewhen towing a trailer. For vehicles with atrailer tow module and tow bar approved byus, the system turns off when you attach atrailer. For vehicles with an aftermarkettrailer tow module or tow bar, werecommend that you switch the system offwhen you attach a trailer.
BLIND SPOT INFORMATION
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Blind spot information system turns on whenall the following occur:
•You start your vehicle.
•You shift into drive (D).
•The vehicle speed is greater than 6 mph(10 km/h).

To switch blind spot information system onor off, use the instrument cluster display:
1.Using the instrument cluster displaycontrols on the steering wheel, selectSETTINGS.
2.Select Driver assistance.
3.Switch Blindspot on or off.
When you switch blind spot informationsystem off, a warning lamp illuminates anda message displays. When you switch thesystem on or off, the alert indicators flashtwice.
Note:The system remembers the last settingwhen you start your vehicle.
To permanently switch the system off,contact an authorized dealer.
LOCATING THE BLIND SPOT

The sensors are behind the rear bumper onboth sides of your vehicle.
Note:Blocked sensors may affect systemaccuracy.
Note:Keep the sensors free from snow, iceand large accumulations of dirt.
Note:Do not cover the sensors with bumperstickers, repair compound or other objects.
Note:Bike and cargo racks could causefalse alerts due to obstruction of the sensor.We recommend switching the feature offwhen using a bike or cargo rack.

CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT
LIMITATIONS
Cross traffic alert may not correctly operatewhen any of the following occur:
•Something is blocking the sensors.
•Adjacently parked vehicles or objects areobstructing the sensors.
•Vehicles approach at speeds less than4 mph (6 km/h) or greater than 37 mph(60 km/h).
•Your vehicle speed is greater than 7 mph(12 km/h).
•You reverse out of an angled parkingspace.

When the cross traffic alert detectsan approaching vehicle, a tonesounds, a warning lamp illuminatesin the relevant exterior mirror and arrowsappear in the information display to showwhich side the vehicle is approaching from.
If the system malfunctions, a warning lampilluminates in the instrument cluster and amessage appears in the instrument clusterdisplay. Have your vehicle checked as soonas possible.
Note:If arrows do not display, a messageappears in the instrument cluster display.

WARNING: The system may operatewith reduced function during cold andinclement weather conditions. Snow, ice,rain, spray and fog can adversely affect thesystem. Keep the front camera and radarfree of snow and ice. Failure to follow thisinstruction may result in the loss of controlof your vehicle, serious personal injury ordeath.

PRE-COLLISION ASSIST
LIMITATIONS
Pre-collision assist depends on the detectionability of its camera and sensors. Anyobstructions or damage to these areas canlimit detection or prevent the system fromfunctioning. See Locating the Pre-CollisionAssist Sensors (page 288).
The system is active at 3 mph (5 km/h) andabove.

DISTANCE INDICATION INDICATOR
The indicator displays the time gap betweenyour vehicle and vehicles traveling in thesame direction ahead of you.
DISTANCE ALERT (IF EQUIPPED)
WHAT IS DISTANCE ALERT
The system alerts you with a warning lampif the distance to the vehicle ahead is small.
Note:The warning lamp does not illuminateif cruise control or adaptive cruise control isactive.
ADJUSTING THE SENSITIVITY OFDISTANCE ALERT
To adjust the sensitivity of the system, usethe instrument cluster display:
