WHAT IS AUTO-START-STOP
The system is designed to help reduce fuelconsumption and CO2 emissions by stopping
the engine when it is idling, for example attraffic lights.
AUTO-START-STOP PRECAUTIONS
WARNING: Apply the parking brake,shift into park (P), switch the ignition offand remove the key before you leave yourvehicle. Failure to follow this instructioncould result in personal injury or death.

SWITCHING AUTO-START-STOP
ON AND OFF
Press the driver assistance button on theinstrument panel to access theAuto-Start-Stop feature on the touchscreen.Use the touchscreen to deactivate thefeature. Deactivating the feature lasts onlyone key cycle. Use the touchscreen torestore Auto-Start-Stop function.
STOPPING THE ENGINE
Stop your vehicle, keep your foot on thebrake pedal and the transmission in drive(D).
Note:Power assist steering turns off whenthe engine stops.
RESTARTING THE ENGINE
Release the brake pedal or press theaccelerator pedal.
A message appears in the instrument clusterdisplay if the system requires you to takeaction.

FUEL AND REFUELING –INFORMATION MESSAGES
Refueling System Warning
If the fuel tank filler valve does not fully close,a message could appear in the instrumentcluster display.
Message
Check Fuel Fill Inlet
If the message appears, do the following:
1.Stop your vehicle as soon as it is safe todo so and switch the engine off.
2.Shift into park (P) or neutral (N).
3.Apply the parking brake.
4.Fully open the fuel filler door.
5.Check the fuel tank filler valve for anydebris that may be restricting itsmovement.
6.Remove any debris from the fuel tankfiller valve.
7.Fully insert a fuel pump nozzle or the fuelfiller funnel provided with your vehicleinto the fuel filler pipe. See Locating theFuel Filler Funnel (page 204). This actionshould dislodge any debris that may bepreventing the fuel tank filler valve fromfully closing.
8.Remove the fuel pump nozzle or fuel fillerfunnel from the fuel filler pipe.
9.Fully close the fuel filler door.
Note:The message may not immediatelyreset. If the message continues to appearand a warning lamp illuminates, have yourvehicle checked as soon as possible.

5.Pull the tether towards you to release thebead. Maintain tension. Center the tetherwithin the housing. Release tension andreturn tether to the stowed position.
6.Start your vehicle.
7.Confirm the instrument cluster displayspark (P).

LOCATING THE SIDE PARKING AIDSENSORS
The side parking sensors are located in thesides of the front and rear bumpers.
SIDE PARKING AID AUDIBLEWARNINGS
When the side parking aid detects an objectwithin the coverage area and the driving pathof your vehicle, an audible warning sounds.As your vehicle moves closer to the object,the rate of the tone increases.
PARKING AID INDICATORS
The system provides object distanceindication through the information andentertainment display.
•As the distance to the object decreases,the indicator waves and the lines movetoward the vehicle icon.
•If there is no object detected, thedistance indicator lines are grey.
Visual indication remains on when yourvehicle is in reverse (R). In any other gear,when you stop your vehicle, visual indicationturns off after four seconds.
If the parking aids are not available, the sidedistance indicator lines do not display.
