Handheld devices, other equipment or vehicle systems which take the driver’s eyes, attention and focus away from the safe operation of a vehicle or that are not permissible by law, should never be used during operation of the vehicle .

When Service Interval Mode is activated, set and vehicle service is required, the following message will be displayed on the LCD: Service Required, along with the remaining days/miles till service is due .

To enter Service Interval Mode and set the interval, press the Mode button A up/down, scroll to User Settings and press Select/Reset (OK) button B to enter . Then press the OK button B up/down to scroll to Service Interval Mode and again to enter . Press the OK button B up/down to select the option to set the interval . Adjust interval and press the OK button B to save . To reset the Service Interval Mode system, press and hold the OK button B for more than 1 second .

To turn Service Required OFF, go to User Settings and scroll to Service Interval Mode, press the OK button B to enter . Select option to deactivate and press the OK button B to save .

An “Engine Oil Change Due Soon” message appears on the Instrument Cluster LCD when the engine oil needs to be changed . After oil change, reset the oil change reminder in User Set tings* . Go to Convenience, then Oil Change Reminder, then press and hold the OK but ton B for more than 1 second .

Kia recommends that you use unleaded gasoline which has an octane rating of RON (Research Octane Number) 95/AKI (Anti Knock Index) 91 or higher . For owners who do not use good qualit y gasolines including fuel additives regularly, and have problems star ting or the engine does not run smoothly, one bot tle of additives should be added to the fuel tank at ever y 8,000 miles . Additives are available from an authorized Kia dealer . Do not mix with other additives .D . Check the engine oil level and leaks when stopping for fuel or before star ting a long trip . As it is normal for engine oil to be consumed during driving, the engine oil level should be checked on regular basis . The engine oil change inter val for normal operating conditions is based on the use of the recommended engine specification . If the recommended engine oil specification is not used, then replace the engine oil according to the maintenance schedule under severe operating conditions .

E . Fuel filter & fuel tank air filter are considered to be maintenance free but periodic inspection is recommended for this maintenance schedule depending on fuel qualit y . If there are some impor tant safet y mat ters like fuel flow restriction, surging, loss of power, hard star ting problems, etc ., replace the fuel filter immediately regardless of maintenance schedule and consult an authorized Kia dealer for details .F . Front/rear differential oil should be changed any time they have been submerged in water . When replacing differential oil with LSD, use only specified LSD oil .G . Inspect for excessive tappet noise and/or engine vibration and adjust if necessar y .H . Inspect alternator, water pump and air conditioner drive belt and if necessar y, repair or replace . Inspect drive belt tensioner, idler and alternator pulley and if necessar y correct or replace .
