ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS (ADAS)
Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control - Curve (NSCC-C)*†3
Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control can automatically adjust the vehicle speed when it detects a curved road ahead and when it receives road information from the navigation system.
To turn on NSCC, go to the User Settings* in the instrument cluster or the Vehicle Settings* in the Infotainment System, by selecting Driving Assistance, Highway Auto Speed Change. When SCC is on and operating, and NSCC is turned on, then NSCC is enabled and the AUTO icon A will illuminate white on the Instrument Cluster LCD.
When NSCC detects a curve ahead, activates, and reduces the vehicle speed, the AUTO icon A will turn green. When the vehicle passes the curved road, the vehicle may return to its previously set SCC speed.
Autoset (Automatic change of set speed): NSCC automatically changes the set speed of Smart Cruise Control using the speed limit information of the navigation system* to help you drive at a safe speed.
REMINDERS:
•NSCC requires an active navigation subscription
•NSCC is only available on controlled access roads and highways
•
The navigation par t of Smar t Cruise Control does not function when a destination is not set on the infotainment navigation system

Highway Driving Assist (HDA)*†3
Highway Driving Assist (HDA) is designed to adjust the speed of the vehicle when driving on limited/controlled access highways. The system can adjust the vehicle’s speed based on available highway speed information. The automatic speed setting mode is designed to set the speed automatically by adjusting to the current speed limits of the highway vehicle is traveling on.
When HDA is activated and the conditions are met, the Instrument Cluster indicator A will illuminate green. If the conditions are not met, HDA will be in standby mode and the indicator light A will illuminate white. When in operation, and if both lanes are recognized, the Instrument Cluster will show the lanes illuminated white and the HDA indicator illuminated green A.
If HDA is activated, conditions are met and the SCC speed is set by the driver (at the posted highway speed limit or slower), HDA will enter the automatic speed setting mode. The set speed and AUTO will be displayed B in green and an audible alert will sound.
Hands-off Warning - If the driver takes their hands off the Steering Wheel for several seconds, a warning message will appear on the Instrument Cluster, and an audible warning will sound. If hands on the Steering Wheel is not detected, HDA will cancel.
HDA settings:
•HDA can be turned on/off by going to the User Settings* in the Instrument Cluster or the Vehicle Settings* in the Infotainment System
•Only adjust settings when the vehicle is at a standstill, gear shift is in Park and the ignition is on or the Engine Start/Stop button* in the on position
•To access User settings* in the Instrument Cluster - Press the Mode button C on the Steering Wheel to toggle to User Settings . Press the OK D up/down to toggle to Driver Assistance, then Driving Assist. Select Highway Driving Assist and press the OK button D
•To access Vehicle settings* in the Infotainment System – Press the SETUP key or the onscreen SETUP button. Press VEHICLE to enter Vehicle Settings. Select Driver Assistance, then Driver Convenience. Select Highway Driving Assist to activate
REMINDERS:
•
Current highway speeds and controlled or limited access roads information may var y. Future navigation updates may change this information. See owner ’s manual for more information
•When the ignition is cycled, the system returns to its previous state, on or off
•If the driver changes the speed while in automatic speed set ting mode, it deactivates and enters a manual mode
When engaged, Highway Driving Assist is not a substitute for safe driving, may not detect all objects around the vehicle, and only functions on cer tain federal highways. Always drive safely and use caution. Refer to section 5 in the Owner ’s Manual for more detailed information, limitations and conditions.

How to Place a Call Using Steering Wheel Controls
When using the voice command feature, wait for the system beep before speaking the command.
There are two options for placing a call:
•Option 1: Press the Receive/Place Call button C (displays the phone screen with call history)
•Option 2: Press the Talk button A. Then say the command “Call {name}” or “Dial {number}” followed by contact name or number

To help minimize driver distraction, some audio system functionalities have been modified while the vehicle is in Drive, Reverse or moved out of Park.

Sound Settings: To adjust the sound settings:
1. Press the SETUP key on the Infotainment System or the onscreen MENU button, when in MEDIA mode.

Presets: To Save a Preset, press and hold the desired slot. This saves the current station in the selected slot.
SiriusXM® Smart Favorites – In Radio mode, choose SiriusXM®, then select any of the first ten favorites, and during song or program play, tap the Skip Backward icon to start from the beginning of the song or
program. Tap the Play Live icon to return to the live broadcast.

When switching bet ween audio modes (AM, FM, Bluetooth® Audio, etc.), the audio system saves the previous volume level you were listening to. For example, if you were listening to FM radio at volume level 20 then switched to Bluetooth® Audio and adjusted the volume level to 30, the volume level will be at 20 when you switch back to FM radio

Follow these steps to activate your Kia Connect system:
1. Enter the activation screen on your vehicle’s head unit:
a. Press SETUP key
b. Press Kia Connect icon
c. Press Activate Kia Connect
2. Read and agree to Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and press SUBMIT
3. Enter number or email address to receive a verification code, then press SUBMIT
4. Follow these steps to receive your verification code using your phone text message or email:
a. Check your phone text message or email for verification code
b. Open the link in your text message or email. A page will open requesting that you create your account
N o t e : If you already have a Kia Owners Portal account using the email or phone number as your login ID, you will need to provide your password prior to receiving the verification code
c. Enter your first name, last name, email, phone number, and account password, and click CREATE ACCOUNT. A page will open displaying your verification code
d. Enter the code in the head unit and press ACTIVATE
e. Go back to the page with your verification code and press “I have entered my PIN.” A link will be provided to download the Kia Access app from your app store. After installing the app, log in and enjoy
REMINDER: This vehicle is not equipped with over-the-air system updates. Yo u can also download map updates for the navigation system by going to update.kia.com. Check for updates that are generally available t wice a year.

Virtual Assistant A — Press to connect to a virtual assistant to hear information about the Kia Connect features
Kia Connect B (non-navigation systems) — Connect to the Kia Connect Call Center
Kia Connect Local Search B (systems with navigation) — Press to connect to the search function to find points of interest or other locations, like “cafe”
Roadside Assist C — Press to connect to a roadside assistant where you can request vehicle towing services(But tons on rear view mirror*. Kia Connect but ton may be located on the overhead console area)
