(Lever located near floor below Driver's Panel) (Secondar y latch located inside lip of Hood)
Closing the Hood:
Lower the Hood by pressing the front center of the Hood. Then, press down to securely lock in place.
REMINDERS:
•While lowering and closing, keep hands away from under the Hood
•
Open the Hood only after turning the engine off, on a flat sur face, with the gear shift in P (Park) position and set ting the parking brake

Hood Release Lever and Latch
Opening the Hood:
1. Pull the Hood Release Lever A to unlatch the Hood
2. In the front of the vehicle, lift the Hood slightly, push the secondary Latch B to the left inside of the Hood’s center and lift the Hood
3. Pull out the support rod from the Hood and set into place to hold the Hood open
REMINDER: Open the Hood only after turning the engine off, on a flat sur face, with the gear shift in P (Park) position and set ting the parking brake.
Fuel Filler Door Release
To open the Fuel Filler door:
1. Ensure Driver ’s door is unlocked. Then press the right center edge of the Fuel Filler door C
2. Pull the Fuel Filler door out to fully open D
To open the Fuel Cap, turn it counterclockwise E.
REMINDERS:
•The fuel filler door will unlock when Driver ’s door is unlocked
•To unlock fuel filler door: -Press the unlock but ton on your smar t key -Press the Central Door unlock but ton on armrest trim of driver ’s door -Pull the driver ’s inside door handle out ward -The fuel filler door will lock when all doors are locked
•To lock fuel filler door: -Press the lock but ton on your smar t key -Press the Central Door lock but ton on armrest trim of driver ’s door -All doors and fuel filler door will automatically lock after the vehicle speed exceeds 9 mph

REMINDERS:
•
Vehicle must be unlocked first before at tempting to open fuel door
•
It is normal to hear one click when tightening and for the Fuel Cap to click back when released
Fuel Cap / Malfunction Indicator (Check Engine Light)
Tighten for ONE CLICK to prevent
Malfunction Indicator from illuminating.
