VIDEOS AND QR CODES
Kia provides a number of video resources to assist you with becoming familiar with the features and functions found in your Kia vehicle. You can access these resources by snapping the QR Codes with your mobile device using the built-in QR Code Reader or a downloaded QR Code Reader App.
After opening the QR Code Reader App on your mobile device, the app will utilize your device’s camera. Center the code in the camera viewing area — with some apps, as soon as the app recognizes the code, it will launch the corresponding video.
With other apps, you will have to snap or “take a picture” of the code. The app will then launch the corresponding video.
For operation specifics, refer to the instructions that come with the QR Code Reader App. You can also view the videos by visiting the following website: www.youtube.com/KiaFeatureVideos

Smart Cruise Control (SCC)*†3
Smart Cruise Control is designed to maintain a predetermined distance from vehicles detected ahead by automatically adjusting the driving speed as needed. When traffic is detected, the vehicle will automatically slow to maintain a set distance from traffic without depressing the accelerator or brake pedal.
With SCC on and activated, and the vehicle distance set, when SCC detects a vehicle slowing or stopping, it can bring the vehicle to a complete stop. When the vehicle ahead starts to move forward, the SCC system re-engages. If the vehicle ahead stops for more than three seconds, press the accelerator pedal or press the +/- or buttons on the Steering Wheel to start moving the vehicle.
Smart Cruise Control will adjust acceleration based on the drive mode selected in the Drive Mode Integrated Control system.
To set/adjust the set speed:
•Push the Driving Assist button* A to turn SCC on and set the current speed (One-Touch Set). The SCC indicator will illuminate on the instrument cluster. SCC may decrease the speed to maintain the distance with the vehicle in front
•Press the +/- button B up/down to increase/decrease the set speed
To set the vehicle distance: Press the Vehicle Distance button C on the steering wheel. The image on the LCD screen D will change when scrolling through the settings. Each time the button is pressed, the vehicle distance changes.
To pause/resume SCC operation: Depress the brake pedal or press the Pause/Resume button B. The SCC indicator on the instrument cluster will change.
To turn SCC off: Press the Driving Assist button A. The SCC indicator on the instrument cluster will turn OFF.
REMINDERS:
•
SCC will not activate until the brake pedal has been depressed at least once after the ignition is ON or engine star ting
•
When following a vehicle, SCC will automatically adjust your vehicle speed based on the vehicle detected in front
•
SCC is also canceled when the driver ’s door is opened, gear shift is changed out of D (Drive), EPB is activated and various other conditions. See the Owner ’s Manual for other conditions
•
If SCC is left on, it can be activated inadver tently. Keep SCC off when not in use to avoid set ting a speed that the driver is not aware of
•It is the responsibilit y of the driver to always check the speed and distance to the vehicle ahead

Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC)*†3
Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control can automatically adjust the vehicle speed when it detects a curved road ahead and when it receives road information from the navigation system.
To turn on NSCC, go to User Settings in the instrument cluster or the Vehicle Settings* in the infotainment system, by selecting Driving Convenience,* Highway Auto Speed Change. When SCC is on and operating, the vehicle is driving on limited/controlled access highways, and NSCC is turned on, NSCC is enabled and the AUTO icon A will illuminate white on the instrument cluster.
When NSCC detects a curve ahead, activates, and reduces the vehicle speed, the AUTO icon A will turn green. When the vehicle passes the curved road, the vehicle may return to its previously set SCC speed.
Highway Set Speed Auto Change: If the speed is set to the current speed limit on the highway during NSCC operation, the set speed is changed automatically whenever the speed limit changes.
REMINDER: NSCC is only available on controlled access roads and highways.
