Lifestyle Receiver (if so equipped)
WARNING
The Lifestyle Receiver cannot be used for
towing a trailer. Only use the Lifestyle Re-
ceiver for receiver mounted accessories
that meet the below requirements.
• The maximum allowable load is 300 lbs.
(136 kg) including the weight of the in-
stalled accessory carrier.
• Do not exceed allowable cargo weight
capacity of your vehicle.
Failure to use the Lifestyle Receiver as in-
tended can result in serious injury or death.
CAUTION
If your vehicle is equipped with the Life-
style Receiver to avoid damage to your ve-
hicle do not tow a trailer with your vehicle.
Do not tow a trailer with your vehicle with the
Lifestyle Receiver (if so equipped). The Life-
style Receiver should be used for receiver-
mounted accessories only. The Lifestyle Re-
ceiver is designed for carrying bikes, snow
boards/skis, camping gear and various other
bulky items.
FLAT TOWING FOR ALL–WHEEL
DRIVE VEHICLE
Towing your vehicle with all four wheels on
the ground is sometimes called flat towing.
This method is sometimes used when towing
a vehicle behind a recreational vehicle, such
as a motor home.
CAUTION
• Failure to follow these guidelines can re-
sult in severe transmission damage.
• Never flat tow your All-wheel drive
(AWD) vehicle. •
DO NOT tow your All-wheel drive
(AWD) vehicle with any wheels on the
ground. Doing so may cause serious and
expensive damage to the powertrain.

Continuously Variable Transmission
To tow a vehicle equipped with a continu-
ously variable transmission, an appropriate
vehicle dolly MUSTbe placed under the
towed vehicle's drive wheels. Alwaysfollow
the dolly manufacturer's recommendations
when using their product.
NOTE:
It the battery is completely drained the
transmission will not manually shift to other
positions.
