WARNING
• Failure to properly adjust the brightness
and position of the displayed image may
interfere with the drivers ability to see
through the windshield which could
cause an accident leading to severe in-
jury or death.
• Do not use the head up display for ex-
tended periods of time as that can cause
you to not see other vehicles, pedestri-
ans or objects, which could cause an ac-
cident leading to severe injury or death. The HUD can display one or more of the
following features (if so equipped):

NOTE:
• Do not place any type of liquid on or near
the projector. Doing so may cause mal-
function of the equipment.
• Do not touch any internal parts of the pro- jector. Doing so may cause malfunction of
the equipment.
• To prevent scratches to the projector glass, do not place any sharp objects on or
near the projector opening.
• Do not place any objects on the instrument panel which may obstruct the display of
the HUD.
• When wearing polarized sunglasses it may be difficult to recognize the display.
• Depending on weather conditions (rain, snow, sun light, temperature), it may be
difficult to recognize the display. •
If juices are spilled, wipe with a dry soft
cloth* lightly. (*clean cloth, eyeglass cleaner,
etc.)
•If they are not removed completely, wipe
with water first and then wipe with a dry
cloth. Otherwise, water stains may remain.
• It is not recommended to use acids or alka-
lis (acidic/alkaline detergents, etc.) and
organic solvents (ethanol, etc.), since the
screen quality may deteriorate by the
residue.
• It is not recommended to use tissues and wet wipes since they may damage the
screen.
• If the displayed image appears distorted, it is recommended that you have the system
checked by an INFINITI retailer or qualified
workshop.
• The HUD has a special windshield to allow the image to be displayed clearly. If your
windshield needs replacing, it is recom-
mended that you visit an INFINITI retailer.

There are USB/iPod® charging ports located
in the rear seat area on the back of the center
console. These ports will charge compatible
devices.
NOTE:
•The USB/iPod® charging ports will not
operate with the display screen. Only the
USB connection port located beneath the
instrument panel will operate USB/iPod®
devices.
• For best results, it is recommended to use
the manufacturer cables, which are sold
separately. A USB Type-A to USB Type-C
adapter (or vice versa) can also be pur-
chased separately; however, results may
vary.
The wireless charger is located on the front
of the center console. Lay the smartphone on
the pad of the wireless charger. Charging will
start automatically. The smartphone will be
charged continuously while the ignition
switch is in the ON position.

12V OUTLETS
The power outlets are for powering electrical
accessories such as cellular telephones. They
are rated at 12 volt, 120W (10A) maximum.
The instrument panel and luggage area
power outlets are powered only when the
ignition switch is in the AUTO ACC or ON
position.
CAUTION
• The outlet and plug may be hot during or
immediately after use.
• Only certain power outlets are designed
for use with a cigarette lighter unit. Do
not use any other power outlet for an
accessory lighter. It is recommended
that you visit an INFINITI retailer for ad-
ditional information.
• Do not use with accessories that exceed
a 12 volt, 120W (10A) power draw. •
Do not use double adapters or more than
one electrical accessory.
• Use power outlets with the engine run-
ning to avoid discharging the vehicle
battery.
• Avoid using power outlets when the air
conditioner, headlights or rear window
defroster is on.
• Before inserting or disconnecting a plug,
be sure the electrical accessory being
used is turned off.
• Push the plug in as far as it will go. If good
contact is not made, the plug may over-
heat or the internal temperature fuse
may open.
• When not in use, be sure to close the cap.
Do not allow water or any other liquid to
contact the outlet.

The extended storage switch is used when
shipping the vehicle. It is located in the fuse
panel on the driver’s side of the instrument
panel. If any electrical equipment does not
operate, ensure the extended storage switch
is pushed fully in place, as shown.
To inspect the extended storage switch, en-
sure the ignition switch and headlight switch
are off, remove the fuse box cover

Driver's side power window switch
The driver's side control panel is equipped
with switches to open or close the front and
rear passenger windows.The window can be partially opened by push-
ing the switch

sired window position is reached. To close
the window partially, pull the switch

Locking passengers' windows
When the window lock buttonOCis de-
pressed, only the driver's side window can be
opened or closed. Press it again to cancel the
window lock function.
Front passenger's power window
switch
The passenger's window switch operates
only the corresponding passenger's window.
To open the window partially, push the
switch down lightly until the desired window
position is reached. To close the window
partially, pull the switch up until the desired
window position is reached.

Door Handle setting is switched to OFF in
“Comfort & Convenience” options of the
“Settings” menu of the lower touch-

• Doors will lock with the Intelligent Key while the ignition switch is placed in the
ON position. • Doors will not lock by pushing the door
handle request switch with the Intelligent
Key inside the vehicle. However, when an
Intelligent Key is inside the vehicle, doors
can be locked with another registered In-
telligent Key.
WARNING
After locking the doors using the request
switch, make sure that the doors have been
securely locked by operating the door
handles within two seconds of locking.
Failure to follow these instructions may re-
sult in inadvertently unlocking the doors,
which may decrease the safety and secu-
rity of your vehicle.
CAUTION
• When locking the doors using the re-
quest switch, make sure to have the In-
telligent Key in your possession before
operating the request switch to prevent
the Intelligent Key from being left in the
vehicle.
• The request switch is operational only
when the Intelligent Key has been de-
tected by the Intelligent Key system.
Lockout protection
To prevent the Intelligent Key from being
accidentally locked in the vehicle, lockout
protection is equipped with the Intelligent
Key system.
When the driver’s side door is open, the doors
are locked, then the Intelligent Key is left
inside the vehicle and the door is closed, all
doors will unlock automatically.
NOTE:
The doors may not lock when the Intelligent
Key is in the same hand that is operating the
request switch to lock the door. Put the In-
telligent Key in a purse, pocket or your other
hand.
CAUTION
The lockout protection may not function
under the following conditions:
• When the Intelligent Key is placed on top
of the instrument panel.
• When the Intelligent Key is placed inside
the glove box or a storage bin.
• When the Intelligent Key is placed inside
the door pockets.
• When the Intelligent Key is placed inside
or near metallic materials.

The door windows will open while pressing
thebutton on the Intelligent Key.
The door windows cannot be closed by using
the Intelligent Key.
Releasing the rear liftgate
The rear liftgate can be opened and closed by
performing the following:
• Press the
button for longer than 1
second to open the rear liftgate.
• Press the
button again for longer than
1 second to close the rear liftgate.
When the
button is pressed during the
open or close process, the liftgate motors will
stop. When the
button is pressed again
for longer than 1 second the liftgate will re-
verse direction.
Using the panic alarm
If you are near your vehicle and feel threat-
ened, you may activate the panic alarm to call
attention by pressing and holding the
button on the Intelligent Key for longer than
0.5 seconds.
The panic alarm and headlights will stay on
for a period of time. The panic alarm stops when:
• It has run for a period of time.
• Any button is pressed on the Intelligent Key.
• The request switch on the driver or passen-
ger door is pushed and the Intelligent Key is
in range of the door handle.
Answer back horn feature
If desired, the answer back horn feature can
be deactivated using the Intelligent Key.
When it is deactivated and the
button
is pressed, the hazard indicator lights flash
twice. When the
button is pressed, nei-
ther the hazard indicator lights nor the horn
operates.
NOTE:
If you change the answer back horn and light
flash feature with the Intelligent Key, the
lower touch-screen display will show the
current mode after the ignition switch has
been cycled from the OFF to the ON posi-
tion. The ”Comfort & Convenience” options
of the “Settings” menu in the lower touch-
screen display can also be used to change the
answer back horn mode between “Conve-
nience” and “Security” settings. To deactivate:
Press and hold the
andbuttonsfor at least 2 seconds.
The hazard indicator lights will flash three
times to confirm that the answer back horn
feature has been deactivated.
To activate: Press and hold the
andbuttonsfor at least 2 seconds once
more.
The hazard indicator lights will flash once and
the horn will sound once to confirm that the
horn beep feature has been reactivated.
Deactivating the horn beep feature does not
silence the horn if the alarm is triggered.
WARNING SIGNALS
To help prevent the vehicle from moving un-
expectedly by erroneous operation of the In-
telligent Key or to help prevent the vehicle
from being stolen, a chime or buzzer sounds
from inside and outside the vehicle and a
warning is displayed in the instrument panel.
When a chime or beep sounds or a warning is
displayed, be sure to check the vehicle and
the Intelligent Key.

• Two Remote Engine Starts, or a single Re-mote Engine Start with an extension, have
already been used.
• The vehicle is not in P (Park).
• There is a detected registered key already inside of the vehicle.
• The Remote Engine Start function has been switched to the OFF position in
Vehicle Settings of the vehicle information
display. For additional information, see
“Vehicle information display” (P. 2-19).
The Remote Engine Start may display a
warning or indicator in the vehicle informa-
tion display. For additional information, see
“Vehicle information display” (P. 2-19). 1. Pull the hood lock release handle

panel. The hood will spring up slightly.
2. Push the lever
O2at the front of the hood
to the side with your fingertips and raise
the hood.
When closing the hood, lower it slowly and
make sure it locks into place.
WARNING
• Make sure the hood is completely closed
and latched before driving. Failure to do
so could cause the hood to fly open and
result in an accident. •
If you see steam or smoke coming from
the engine compartment, to avoid injury
do not open the hood.
• Do not pull the hood lock release handle
or push the hood down after the pop-up
engine hood system activates. Doing so
could cause personal injury or damage to
the hood because the hood cannot be
closed manually after the system is acti-
vated. When the pop-up engine hood ac-
tivates, it is recommended you contact
an INFINITI retailer.
