Seat Easy
Access

[ Off : The seat easy access function is deactivated.

[ Normal/Extended : When you turn off the engine, the driver's seat will
automatically move rearward short (Normal) or long (Extended) for you to
enter or exit the vehicle more comfortably.
For more details, refer to "Driver Position Memory System" in chapter 5.
Rear
Occupant AlertTo activate or deactivate the Rear Occupant Alert.
For more details, refer to "Rear Occupant Alert (ROA) system" in chapter
3.
Welcome
Mirror/Light

[ On door unlock : The outside rearview mirrors are unfolded and the
welcome light turns on automatically when the doors are unlocked.

[ On driver approach : The outside rearview mirrors are unfolded and the
welcome light turns on automatically when the vehicle is approached
with the smart key.
For more details, refer to ''Welcome System'' in chapter 5."
Wireless
Charging SystemTo activate or deactivate the wireless charging system in the front seat.
For more details, refer to "Wireless cellular phone charging system" in
chapter 5.
Auto Rear
Wiper (in R)To activate or deactivate the Auto Rear Wiper function.
If you move the gear from D to R when the front wiper operates, the rear
wiper will operate automatically. Then, if you move the gear from R to D,
the rear wiper will stop."
Advanced
Anti-TheftTo activate or deactivate the Advanced Anti-Theft function.
Service
Interval

To activate or deactivate the service interval function.

CAUTION
• Hyundai digital key app on the
smartphone and card key may not
work if any of the following occurs:
- Hyundai digital key app on the
smartphone is deleted. (Required
to reinstall the app)
- Account log in information of
Hyundai digital key app is expired.
(Required to re-log in)
- When you try to log in to another
smartphone instead of the
registered smartphone with same
user account.
- Smartphone rooting or app
hacking is detected.
- Smartphone battery or the vehicle
battery is discharged.
- Smartphone’s screen is off or
locked.
- NFC or Bluetooth is turned off on
the smartphone settings.
- Smartphone’s mobile network
setting is off or airplane mode is
activated.
- A credit card is overlapped in the
back of your smartphone or metal
or thick case is used.
- Use the card key with insert it
into the wallet or card holder or
overlapping with other cards.
- If you use a smart phone cover that
uses wireless communication or is
made of metal, the digital key NFC
function may not work properly.
Remove the smart phone cover
before using the digital key NFC
function.
• The vehicle may not be controlled by
the smartphone if any of the following
occurs:
-Basic and necessary functions of
the smartphone manufacturer are
operating. (General call, urgent
call, audio or NFC payment)
- Wireless earphone is operating.
(General call, urgent call or audio)
- The digital key app function such
as basic setting or app launching
is limited by prior policy according
to the manufacturer while using a
smartphone produced by domestic
and foreign manufactures.

à If you change the smartphone
number, you should modify the user
account information on the HYUNDAI
customer web site to use the digital
key app.

à If the vehicle owner changes
the smartphone device, the new
smartphone should be registered in
the car after deleting the registered
digital key(smartphone).

à If a sharer changes or reset the
smartphone, the key should be re-
shared from owner.

à Some of the old smartphone may
not work properly. Please check the
available smartphone models with
your dealer.

à NFC antenna position on the
smartphone can be confirmed
on each smartphone’s manual or
contact to customer service center
of the smartphone manufacture.

Limitations of Navigation-based
Smart Cruise Control
Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control
may not operate normally under the
following circumstances:
• The navigation is not working properly
• Speed limit and road information in the navigation is not updated
• Map information is not transmitted due to infotainment system's
abnormal operation
• The map information and the actual road is different because of real-time
GPS data or map information error
• The navigation searches for a route while driving
• GPS signals are blocked in areas such as a tunnel
• A road that divides into two or more roads and joins again
• The driver goes off course the route set in the navigation
• The route to the destination is changed or canceled by resetting the
navigation • The vehicle enters a service station or
rest area
• Android Auto or Car Play is operating
• The navigation cannot detect the current vehicle position (for example,
elevated roads including overpass
adjacent to general roads or nearby
roads exist in a parallel way)
• The navigation is being updated while driving
• The navigation is being restarted while driving
• The speed limit of some sections changes according to the road
situations
• Driving on a road under construction
• Driving on a road that is controlled
• There is bad weather, such as heavy rain, heavy snow, etc.
• Driving on a road that is sharply curved

Limitations of Highway Driving
Assist
Highway Driving Assist may not operate
normally, or may not operate under the
following circumstances:
• The map information and the actual road is different because the
navigation is not updated
• The map information and the actual road is different because of real-time
GPS data or map information error
• The infotainment system is overloaded by simultaneously performing
functions such as route search, video
playback, voice recognition, etc.
• GPS signals are blocked in areas such as a tunnel
• The driver goes off course or the route to the destination is changed or
canceled by resetting the navigation
• The vehicle enters a service station or rest area
• Android Auto or Car Play is operating
• The navigation cannot detect the current vehicle position (for example,
elevated roads including overpass
adjacent to general roads or nearby
roads exist in a parallel way)

NOTICE
External power source using 12V battery
The use of external power accessories
may reduce performance and function
of the vehicle. Especially, the use of
dash cameras may shut off the power of
the vehicle prior to the dash camera’s
automatic shut-down.
If the power of the vehicle is shut off,
start the vehicle as explained. (refer to
“Using the 12V Battery Reset Switch”)
Jump Starting
In the event vehicle still does not have a
functional 12V battery (check if interior
lights will not turn on) then you can try
a jump start to the engine compartment
jumper terminals using a 12V booster
pack or jumper cables from another
vehicle’s 12V battery according to the
following instructions.
CAUTION
Jump starting can be dangerous if
done incorrectly. Follow the jump
starting procedure in this section to
avoid serious injury or damage to
your vehicle. If in doubt about how to
properly jump start your vehicle, we
strongly recommend that you have a
service technician or towing service do
it for you.
1. Position the vehicles close enough that the jumper cables will reach, but
do not allow the vehicles to touch.
Avoid fans or any moving parts in the
engine compartment at all times, even
when the vehicles are turned off.
2. Turn off all electrical devices such as radios, lights, air conditioning, etc.
Put the vehicles in P (Park) and set the
parking brake. Turn both vehicles OFF.
CAUTION
Before jump starting, make sure to
correctly identify the positive (+) and
negative (-) terminals to avoid reverse
polarity connections.

3. Connect the jumper cables in the exact sequence shown in the
illustration. First connect one jumper
cable to the red, positive (+) jumper
terminal of your vehicle (1).
4. Connect the other end of the jumper cable to the red, positive (+) battery/
jumper terminal of the assisting
vehicle (2).
5. Connect the second jumper cable to the black, negative (-) battery/jumper
terminal of the assisting vehicle (3).
6. Connect the other end of the second jumper cable to the black, negative (-)
chassis ground of your vehicle (4).
Do not allow the jumper cables to
contact anything except the correct
battery or jumper terminals or the
correct ground. Do not lean over the
battery when making connections.
WARNING
Do not connect the jumper cable to
the negative (-) jumper terminal of the
discharged battery. A spark could cause
the battery to explode and lead to a
personal injury or vehicle damage.

7. Press the 12V Battery Reset switch.
8. Start the engine of the assisting vehicle and let it run for a few
minutes.
9. Start your vehicle as soon as possible. After starting the vehicle
(
indicator on), operate the vehicle
safely outdoors in ready mode
stopped and/or drive it for 30 minutes
total to charge the 12V battery fully.
If your vehicle will not start after a few
attempts, it probably requires service.
In this event please seek qualified
assistance. If the cause of your battery
discharging is not apparent, have your
vehicle checked by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.
Disconnect the jumper cables in the
exact reverse order you connected them:
1. Disconnect the jumper cable from the black, negative (-) chassis ground of
your vehicle (4).
2. Disconnect the other end of the jumper cable from the black, negative
(-) battery/chassis ground of the
assisting vehicle (3).
3. Disconnect the second jumper cable from the red, positive (+) battery/
jumper terminal of the assisting
vehicle (2).
4. Disconnect the other end of the jumper cable from the red,
charging terminal inside the engine
compartment fuse panel (1).
Information
The voltage range of the charger should be
13.3~14V and its current range should be
less than 60A. (13.8V is recommended).
CAUTION

[The use of an improper charger with a
voltage and current range higher than
specified may cause overheating and
damage to the 12V battery.

[ The use of an incorrect charger will
lead to a power shut-off to save the
12V battery. Stop using the incorrect
charger once the power of the
vehicle is shut off.
Information
An inappropriately disposed
battery can be harmful to
the environment and human
health. Dispose of the battery
according to your local law(s) or
regulations.
NOTICE
To prevent damage to your vehicle:

[Only use a 12-volt power supply
(battery or jumper system) to jump
start your vehicle.

[ Do not attempt to jump start your
vehicle by push-starting.
CAUTION
Do not jump start another vehicle with
your hybrid vehicle. Jump starting
another vehicle will damage the
hybrid vehicle’s 12 volt battery (lithium
polymer type).
WARNING
While jump starting your vehicle, avoid
the positive (+) and negative (-) cables
to come in contact. A spark could cause
personal injury.

NOTICE
AGM battery (if equipped)
• Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) batteries
are maintenance-free and have
the AGM battery serviced by an
authorized HYUNDAI dealer. For
charging your AGM battery, use only
fully automatic battery chargers that
are specially developed for AGM
batteries.
• When replacing the AGM battery,
use parts for replacement from an
authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
• Do not open or remove the cap on
top of the battery. This may cause
leaks of internal electrolyte that
could result in severe injury.
By jump starting
After a jump start from a good battery,
drive the vehicle for 20-30 minutes
before it is shutoff. The vehicle may
not restart if you shut it off before the
battery had a chance to adequately
recharge. See “Jump Starting” in chapter
9 for more information on jump starting
procedures.
