Convenient features of your vehicle
This system helps to protect your
vehicle and valuables. The horn will
sound and the hazard warning lights
will blink continuously if any of the
following occurs:
- A door is opened without using thesmart key.
- The tailgate is opened without using the smart key.
- The hood is opened.
The alarm continues for 30 seconds,
then the system resets. To turn off
the alarm, unlock the doors with the
smart key.
The Theft Alarm System automati-
cally sets 30 seconds after you lock
the doors and the tailgate. For the
system to activate, you must lock thedoors and the tailgate from outside
the vehicle with the smart key or by
pressing the button on the outside of
the door handles with the smart key
in your possession.
The hazard warning lights will blink and the chime will sound once to
indicate the system is armed. Once the security system is set,
opening any door, the tailgate, or the
hood without using the smart key will
cause the alarm to activate.
The Theft Alarm System will not set if
the hood, the tailgate, or any door is
not fully closed. If the system will not
set, check the hood, the tailgate, orthe doors are fully closed. Do not attempt to alter this system or
add other devices to it.
Information
 Do not lock the doors until all pas- sengers have left the vehicle. If the
remaining passenger leaves the
vehicle when the system is armed,
the alarm will be activated.
 If the vehicle is not disarmed with the smart key, open the doors by using
the mechanical key and start the
vehicle ( indicator ON) by
directly pressing the POWER button
with the smart key.
 When the system is disarmed but a door or tailgate is not opened within
30 seconds, the system will be
rearmed.i

If the driver gets out of the vehicle
through other doors (except dri-
ver’s door), the battery saver func-tion does not operate and the
headlamp delay function does not
turn off automatically. Therefore, It
causes the battery to be dis-
charged. In this case, make sure
to turn off the lamp before getting
out of the vehicle.
Interior Lights
Do not use the interior lights for
extended periods when the vehi-
cle is turned off or the battery will
discharge.
Interior lamp AUTO cut
The interior lamps will automatically
go off approximately 20 minutes after
the vehicle is turned off and the
doors are closed. If a door is opened,
the lamp will go off 40 minutes after
the vehicle is turned off. If the doors
are locked by the remote key or
smart key and the vehicle enters the
armed stage of the theft alarm sys-
tem, the lamps will go off five sec-
onds later.
Front lamps
Front Map Lamp (1) :
Press either lenses (Type A) or
switches ( , Type B) to turn
the map lamp on or off. This light pro-
duces a spot beam for convenientuse as a map lamp at night or as a
personal lamp for the driver and the
front passenger.

Do not use the interior lights
when driving in the dark. The
interior lights may obscure your
view and cause an accident.

(12) The suspended status lasts forover 1 minute

When the Remote Smart Parking assist is cancelled, gear P (Park)
and Electronic Parking Brake
(EPB) are engaged automatically.
After engaged, the vehicle is auto-
matically turned off. Frequent beep sounds will gener-
ate to alert the deactivation of the
Remote Smart Parking Assist.
How the System Works
(Smart Exit)
Smart exit is available with the driver
on board. Make sure the conditions
available before activation the Smart
parking function.
1. Select Smart Exit:
Press the RSPA button with the
shift lever placed in P (Park) or N
(Neutral) position without driving
the vehicle after the initial startup.
*N (Neutral): Press RSPA button
after starting the vehicle and with-
out driving the vehicle. The Smart
Exit is selected. Then the Parkingmode is automatically selected
after driving.
*P (Park): After driving the vehicle
press RSPA button and Remote
Moving Forward/Backward isautomatically selected.
2. Search for smart exit space: Automatic searching by sensor atstop However, check the actual envi-
ronment before using Smart exitfunction.
3. Select smart exit direction: Parallel (left/right)
4. Smart Exit assist: Steering wheel, gear shift and vehicle speed con-
trol (parallel exit)
5. Smart Exit complete
After the Smart Exit is complete,
make sure to check the surrounding
road conditions.
However, the Exit mode is activated
when below conditions are met:
The vehicle speed is kept under 5 km/h (3 mph) after the vehicle is
turned on.
The parallel parking by the Remote Smart Parking assist is complete.
Always be careful while exiting
for other vehicles or pedestrians.

Backward is complete, the gear P
(Park) and Electronic Parking
Brake (EPB) are engaged auto-
matically and the vehicle turns off.

When the Remote Smart Parking
Assist system is in operation, the
system may be cancelled regardless
of the instruction order. The messages will appear according
to the circumstances. Follow the
instructions provided while driving
your vehicle with the Remote Smart
Parking Assist system in activation.
Check parking assist
If there is a problem with the system,
the above message will appear when
the system is turned on.
Also, the indicator on the RSPA but-
ton will blink and the warning sound
will beep three times.
(The Parking Distance Warning sys-
tem can be operable depending on
the failure type.)
If you notice any problem, have the
vehicle checked by an authorized

The Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) system is designed to
help detect and monitor the vehicle
ahead or detect a pedestrian or
cyclists in the roadway through radar
signals and camera recognition to
warn the driver that a collision is
imminent, and if necessary, apply
emergency braking.System Setting and Activation
System setting
The driver can activate the FCA byplacing the power button to the ON
position and by selecting on the
AVN screen :
"Vehicle settings Driver assis-
tance Forward safety"
- If you select "Active assistance", the FCA system activates. The
FCA produces warning mes-
sages and warning alarms in
accordance with the collision risk
levels. Also, it controls the brakesin accordance with the collision
risk levels.
- If you select "Warning Only", the FCA system activates and pro-
duces only warning alarms in
accordance with the collision risk
levels. You should control the
brake directly because the FCA
system do not control the brake.
- If you select "Off", the FCA sys- tem deactivates,

Take the following precautions
when using the Forward Collision-
Avoidance Assist (FCA) system:
This system is only a supple- mental system and it is not
intended to, nor does it replace
the need for extreme care and
attention of the driver. The
sensing range and objects
detectable by the sensors are
limited. Pay attention to the
road conditions at all times.
NEVER drive too fast in accor-
dance with the road condi-tions or while cornering.
Always drive cautiously to
prevent unexpected and sud-
den situations from occur-
ring. The Forward Collision-
Avoidance system may not
always stop the vehicle com-
pletely and is only intended tohelp mitigate a collision thatis imminent.

Prerequisite for activation
The FCA system is on and ready
when FCA is selected on the AVN
vehicle settings and when the follow-ing prerequisites are satisfied:
- The ESC (Electronic StabilityControl) is on.
- Driving speed exceeds approxi- mately 8 km/h (5 mph) (The FCA
is only activated within a certain
speed range.).
- The system detects a pedestrian, cyclists or a vehicle in front, which
may collide with your vehicle. (The
FCA may not be activated or may
sound a warning alarm in accor-
dance with the driving situation or
vehicle condition.)
If you select "Warning only", the
FCA system activates and pro-
duces only warning alarms in
accordance with the collision risk
levels.
❈ The FCA may not operate proper-
ly according to the frontal situa-
tion, the direction of pedestrian orcyclist and speed.
FCA Warning Message and
System Control
The FCA produces warning mes-
sages and warning alarms in accor-
dance with the collision risk levels,
such as abrupt stopping of the vehi-
cle in front, insufficient braking dis-
tance, or pedestrian or cyclists
detection. Also, it controls the brakes
in accordance with the collision risk
levels.
The driver can select the initial warn-
ing activation time in the Vehicle set-
tings in the AVN screen. The options
for the initial Forward Collision
Warning include Early or Later initial
warning time.Completely stop the vehicle
on a safe location before
operating the switch on the
steering wheel to activate/
deactivate the FCA system.
The FCA automatically acti-
vates upon placing the
POWER button to the ON
position. The driver can deac-
tivate the FCA by canceling
the system setting on the AVNscreen.
The FCA automatically deacti-
vates upon canceling the ESC
(Electronic Stability Control).When the ESC is canceled,
the FCA cannot be activated
on the AVN screen. The FCAwarning light will illuminate
which is normal.

Collision Warning (First warning)
This warning message appears on
the LCD display with a warning
chime. Additionally, some vehicle
system intervention occurs by the
driving management system to help
decelerate the vehicle.
- Your vehicle speed may deceleratemoderately.
- The FCA system limitedly controls the brakes to preemptively mitigateimpact in a collision. - If you select "Warning Only", the
FCA system activates and pro-
duces only warning alarms in
accordance with the collision risk
levels. You should control the brakedirectly because the FCA system
do not control the brake.
Emergency Braking
(Second warning)
This warning message appears on
the LCD display with a warning
chime.
Additionally, some vehicle system
intervention occurs by the drivingmanagement system to help decel-
erate the vehicle.
- The FCA system limitedly controls the brakes to preemptively mitigate
impact in a collision. The brake
control is maximized just before acollision.
