What is an admin key?
An admin key is a key that you havenot created as a MyKey. See Creatinga MyKey (page 65).
Why am I not able to create a MyKey?
You have not placed the admin key inthe backup position. See Creating aMyKey (page 65). The key used toswitch the ignition on is not an adminkey. The key used to switch the ignitionon is the only admin key. There has tobe at least one admin key. You did notswitch the ignition off after creatingthe last MyKey.
Why am I not able to program a MyKey?
The admin key is not inside yourvehicle. The key used to switch theignition on is not an admin key. Youhave not created any MyKeys. SeeCreating a MyKey (page 65).
Why am I not able to clear the MyKeys?

Why is the MyKey distance notaccumulating?

Why am I not able to start the enginewith a MyKey?
An admin key and a MyKey are insideyour vehicle. The system recognizesonly the admin key when both arepresent.

RESETTING THE STOPPING
POSITION - VEHICLES WITH:
POWER ADJUSTABLE
STEERING COLUMN
Note:The steering wheel stops when itdetects an obstruction. This sets a newstopping position.
To reset the steering column to its normalstopping position:
1.Confirm there is nothing obstructingthe motion of the steering column.
2.Press and hold the steering columncontrol until the steering column stopsmoving.
3.Press the steering column controlagain.
Note:The steering column may start tomove again.
4.When the steering column stops,continue holding the control for a fewseconds.
5.Repeat for each direction, as necessary.
HORN
Press on the center of thesteering wheel near the horn iconto activate the horn.
SWITCHING THE HEATED
STEERING WHEEL ON AND OFF
(IF EQUIPPED)
To activate the heated steeringwheel, press the button on thetouchscreen near the climatecontrols. The button illuminates when theheated steering wheel is on. To turn it off,press the heated steering wheel buttonagain.
Note:The engine must be running to usethe heated steering wheel.
Note:A sensor regulates the temperatureof the steering wheel.
Note:Depending on the remote startsettings, the heated steering wheel mayremain on after remote starting your vehicle.It may also turn on when you start yourvehicle if it was on the last time the enginewas switched off.

ADJUSTING THE EXTERIOR
MIRRORS
WARNING: Do not adjust themirrors when your vehicle is moving. Thiscould result in the loss of control of yourvehicle, serious personal injury or death.

To adjust your mirrors, switch your vehicleon, with the ignition in accessory mode orthe engine running and then:
1.Select the mirror you want to adjust.The control light turns on.
2.Use the adjustment control to adjustthe position of the mirror.
3.Press the mirror control again. Thecontrol light turns off.
FOLDING THE EXTERIOR
MIRRORS
Push the mirror toward the door windowglass.
Make sure that you fully engage the mirrorin its support when returning it to itsoriginal position.
AUTO-DIMMING EXTERIOR
MIRROR (IF EQUIPPED)
WHAT IS THE AUTO-DIMMINGEXTERIOR MIRROR
The driver exterior mirror dims when theinterior auto-dimming mirror turns on.

FUEL GAUGE LIMITATIONS
The fuel gauge may not provide anaccurate reading when your vehicle is onan incline.
LOCATING THE FUEL FILLERDOOR
The arrow adjacent to the fuel pumpsymbol indicates on which side of yourvehicle the fuel filler door is located.
WHAT IS THE LOW FUELREMINDER
A low fuel level reminder displays andsounds when the distance to emptyreaches 75 mi (120 km) to empty forMyKey, and at 50 mi (80 km),25 mi(40 km),12 mi (20 km) and 0 mi (0 km)for all vehicle keys.
Note:The low fuel reminder can appear atdifferent fuel gauge positions depending onfuel economy conditions. This variation isnormal.
WHAT IS DISTANCE TO EMPTY
Indicates the approximate distance yourvehicle can travel on the fuel remaining inthe tank. Changes in driving pattern cancause the value to not only decrease butalso increase or stay constant for periodsof time.
ENGINE COOLANT
TEMPERATURE GAUGE
Indicates the engine coolant temperature.
TURBO BOOST GAUGE
Indicates the amount of manifold airpressure in the engine.
Note:This is a configurable gauge.
WHAT ARE THE INSTRUMENT
CLUSTER WARNING LAMPS
Warning lamps alert you to a vehiclecondition that could become serious.Some lamps illuminate when you startyour vehicle to make sure they work. If anylamps remain on after starting your vehicle,refer to the respective system warninglamp for further information.

Anti-Lock Brake System
If it illuminates when you aredriving, this indicates the systemrequires service. Your vehiclecontinues to have normal braking withoutthe anti-lock brake system function. Haveyour vehicle checked as soon as possible.
Battery
It illuminates when you switchthe ignition on.
If it illuminates when the engineis running, this indicates your vehiclerequires service. Have your vehiclechecked as soon as possible.
Brake System
It illuminates when you apply theparking brake and the ignition ison. If it illuminates when yourvehicle is moving, make sure theparking brake is released. If theparking brake is released, thisindicates low brake fluid level or the brakesystem requires service. Have your vehiclechecked as soon as possible.

Door Ajar
It illuminates when ignition is onand remains on if any door isopen.
Electric Park Brake
It illuminates or flashes when theelectric parking brake requiresservice.
Engine Coolant Temperature
If it illuminates, safely stop yourvehicle and switch the vehicleoff.
Fasten Seatbelt
It illuminates and a tone soundsuntil you fasten the seatbelts.
Hood Ajar
It illuminates when ignition is onand remains on if the hood isopen.
Liftgate Ajar
It illuminates when ignition is onand remains on if the liftgate isopen.
Low Fuel Level
It illuminates when the fuel levelis low.
Low Tire Pressure Warning
It illuminates when your tirepressure is low. If illuminated,check your tire pressure as soonas possible. If it begins to flash at anytime,have the system checked as soon aspossible.
Low Washer Fluid Level
It illuminates when the washerfluid is low.
Malfunction Indicator Lamp
It illuminates when the ignitionis on and the engine is off, this isnormal operation. If it illuminateswhen the engine is on this indicates thatthe emission control system requiresservice. If it flashes, have your vehiclechecked immediately. See Emission Law(page 474). See Starting and Stoppingthe Engine – Warning Lamps (page 161).
Oil Pressure
It illuminates when the engineoil pressure is low.
Powertrain Fault
It illuminates when thepowertrain requires service. Havethe system checked as soon aspossible.

WHAT IS REMOTE START
Remote Start System
The system allows you to remotely startyour vehicle and to adjust the interiortemperature according to the settings thatyou chose.

PRECAUTIONS
WARNING: Do not start the enginein a closed garage or in other enclosedareas. Exhaust fumes are toxic. Alwaysopen the garage door before you startthe engine. Failure to follow thisinstruction could result in personal injuryor death.
REMOTE START LIMITATIONS
Remote start does not work under thefollowing conditions:
•The alarm horn is sounding.
•The hood is open.
•The transmission is not in park (P).
•The ignition is on.
•The battery voltage is below theminimum operating voltage.
•Remote start is not enabled.
Note:Do not use remote start if the fuellevel is low.
ENABLING REMOTE START
1.Using the information display controlson the steering wheel, select Settings.
2.Select Settings.
3.Select Vehicle.
4.Select Remote Start.
5.Switch System on.
Note:To use remote start, make sure thatthe modem is enabled. See Enabling andDisabling the Modem (page 354).

Remotely Starting the Vehicle
Press the button on the remotecontrol.
Within three seconds, press thebutton on the remote control.

Note:The vehicle doors lock when yousuccessfully remote start your vehicle.
Note:The turn signal lamps flash twice.
Note:The parking lamps turn on when thevehicle is running.
Note:The horn sounds if the system failsto start.
Note:All other vehicle systems remain offwhen you have remotely started the vehicle.
Note:The vehicle remains secured whenyou have remotely started the vehicle. Avalid key must be inside your vehicle toswitch the ignition on and drive your vehicle.

•To reduce humidity build-up inside yourvehicle, do not drive with the systemswitched off or with recirculated airalways switched on.
•Do not place objects under the frontseats as this may interfere with theairflow to the rear seats.
•Remove any snow, ice or leaves fromthe air intake area at the base of thewindshield.
•To improve the time to reach acomfortable temperature in hotweather, drive with the windows openuntil you feel cold air through the airvents.
Automatic Climate Control
•Adjusting the settings when yourvehicle interior is extremely hot or coldis not necessary. Automatic mode isbest recommended to maintain settemperature.
•The system adjusts to heat or cool theinterior to the temperature you selectas quickly as possible.
•For the system to function efficiently,the instrument panel and side air ventsshould be fully open.
•If you press AUTO during cold outsidetemperatures, the system directs airflow to the windshield and side windowair vents.In addition, the blower motormay run at a slower speed until theengine warms up.
•If you press AUTO during hottemperatures and the inside of thevehicle is hot, the system usesrecirculated air to maximize interiorcooling. Blower motor speed may alsoreduce until the air cools.
Quickly Heating the Interior
1.Press AUTO.
2.Adjust the temperature function to thesetting you prefer.
Recommended Settings forHeating
