er’s or water-skier’s ability, as well as water
and weather conditions.
When preparing to pull a wakeboarder or
water-skier, operate the watercraft at the
slowest possible speed until the watercraft
is well away from the person being pulled
and slack in the ski rope is taken up. Make
sure that the rope is not looped around
anything.
After checking that the wakeboarder or wa-
ter-skier is ready and that there is no traffic
or other obstacles, apply enough throttle to
raise the person.
Make smooth, wide turns. The watercraft is
capable of very sharp turns, which could
exceed the abilities of the wakeboarder or
water-skier. Keep the person being towed
at least 50 m (164 ft), about twice the dis-
tance of a standard ski rope, away from
any potential hazard.
The operators of boats and other water-
craft may not be aware that you are pulling
a wakeboarder or water-skier. Together
with the spotter, pay attention to others
around you and cruise at safe speeds.
Be alert to the hazard of the ski rope handle
snapping back at the watercraft when the
wakeboarder or water-skier falls or is un-
able to get up.
Towing heavy or bulky objects other than
wakeboarders or water-skiers, such as an-
other boat or watercraft, can cause loss of
steering control and create a hazardous
condition. If you must tow another boat in
an emergency situation, operate slowly
and cautiously.

This function can be used only when the wa-
tercraft is in neutral.
TIP
While the watercraft is shifted into forward,
the “TRIM/T.D.E.” switch controls the electric
trim system. (See page 31 for information on
the electric trim system.)
Activating and deactivating the T.D.E.
The activation of the T.D.E. can be confirmed
by the T.D.E. indicator on the multifunction
information center.
To activate the T.D.E.:
(1) Shift into neutral.
(2) Push the upper side of the “TRIM/T.D.E.”switch to move forward at a very low
speed or push the lower side of the
“TRIM/T.D.E.” switch to move in reverse
at a very low speed.
TIP
While the T.D.E. is activated, the “N” (neutral)
shift indicator will be displayed and “0” will be
displayed on the speedometer.
To deactivate the T.D.E.:
Perform one of the following operations. The
T.D.E. indicator disappears and the T.D.E. is
deactivated.
Squeeze the throttle lever.
Squeeze the RiDE lever.
Push and hold the “CRUISE/NO WAKE”
switch.
While moving forward at a very low speed,
push the lower side of the “TRIM/T.D.E.”
switch.
While moving in reverse at a very low
speed, push the upper side of the
“TRIM/T.D.E.” switch.
TIP
The T.D.E. is also deactivated when the en-
gine is stopped.
EJU45911No-wake mode
The no-wake mode is a function that main-
tains the engine speed at a fixed setting for
operating the watercraft at low speeds. While
the watercraft is operating in no-wake mode,
the engine speed can be adjusted to one en-

TIP
For acceleration, select from “SLOW”, “ME-
DIUM”, and “FAST”.
Activating the auto trim
The auto trim is activated, the trim angle is
automatically adjusted.
To set auto trim, select “Auto Trim” on the
drive control mode screen.
TIP
For auto trim, select from “Performance” and
“Comfort”.
When auto trim is activated, the trim icon on
the home screen changes color. When auto
trim is set to “Performance”, the “ ” icon is
blue. When auto trim is set to “Comfort”,
the “ ” icon is yellow.
Locking the drive control mode
The drive control mode can be locked.
To lock the drive control mode:
(1) Select the drive control mode indicator.
(2) Select “Unlock”.
(3) Input the 4-digit PIN, and select “ ”.
To unlock the drive control mode:
(1) Select the drive control mode indicator.
(2) Select “Lock”.
(3) Input the 4-digit PIN, and select “ ”.
EJU45930Cruise assist
The cruise assist is a function for maintaining
a desired engine speed within a fixed range
while operating the watercraft. Once the
cruise assist is activated, the set engine
speed can be increased or decreased. How-
ever, the adjustment is limited to a maximum
of five increments above or below the initial
cruise assist setting.
