Maintenance and care
5Plug the connector.
6 Secure the bulb base.
Shake the bulb base gently to check that it is not loose, turn the headlights on once and visually confirm that no
light is leaking through the mounting.
■Headlights high beam (bulb

1 Unplug the connector.
2 Turn the bulb base counter-
clockwise.
3 Replace the light bulb.
4 Install the bulb base.
Align the 3 tabs on the light bulb with the mounting and insert.
5 Plug the connector.
6 Secure the bulb base.

■Front fog lights (bulb type)
1 To allow enough working space,
turn the steering wheel.

2Remove the screws and clips.
3 Partly remove the fender liner.
4 Unplug the connector.
5 Turn the bulb base counter-
clockwise.
6 Set a new light bulb.
Align the 3 tabs on the light bulb with the mounting, and insert. Turn it clock-
wise to set.
7 Set the connector.
Shake the bulb base gently to check that it is not loose, turn the front fog
lights on once and visually confirm that no light is leaking through the mount-ing.
8 Reinstall the fender liner.
Make sure to return the fender liner to

the correct position on the bumper
before reinstalling the screws and clips.
9 Reinstall the screws and clips.
■Rear turn signal lights, Back-
up light and Rear fog light
1 Open the back door.
2 Remove the 2 bolts and pull the
lamp assembly toward the rear
of the vehicle to remove it.
3 Turn the bulb base counter-
clockwise.

■License plate light
1 Remove the light unit.
1 Insert a flathead screwdriver or
similar into the hole.
2 Tilt the screwdriver in the direc-
tion of the arrow shown in the
illustration so as to unlock posi-
tion.
3 Remove the light unit as shown
in the illustration.
To prevent damage to the vehicle, wrap
the tip of the screwdriver with tape.
2 Turn the bulb base counter-
clockwise and remove it.
3 Remove the light bulb.
4 Install a new light bulb.
5 Install the bulbbase.

When trouble arises
1Open the deck board. (P.233)
2 Take out the emergency tire
puncture repair kit. ( P.314)
1 Attach the sticker provided with
the tire puncture repair kit to a
position easily seen from the
driver’s seat.
2 Remove the valve cap from the
valve of the punctured tire.
3 Remove the cap from the noz-
zle.
4 Connect the nozzle to the valve.
Screw the end of the nozzle clockwise as far as possible. The bottle should
hang vertically without contacting the ground. If the bottle does not hang ver-tically, move the vehicle so that the tire
valve is located properly.
5 Remove the cap from the bottle.

6Pull the hose out from the com-
pressor.
7 Connect the bottle to the com-
pressor.
Screw the end of the hose clockwise as far as possible.
8 Make sure that the compressor
switch is (off).
9 Remove the power plug from
the compressor.
10 Connect the power plug to the
power outlet socket. ( P.236)
11 Check the specified tire inflation
pressure.
Tire inflation pressure is specified on the label on the driver’s side door frame
as shown. ( P.350)
