The 360° Camera is a system that consists of
fo ur cameras which co verth e immediate sur-
ro undings of theve hicle. The cameras assist you
when you are parking, forex ample, or at exits with
re duced visibility.
If yo u ha veactivated the function, the image from
th ere ve rsing camera is automatically displa yed in
th e central display when reve rsege ar is selected
(/ page 274).
The 360° Camera includes thefo llowing cameras
and evaluates their images:
R Reversing camera
R Front camera
R Two side cameras in the outside mir rors
The cameras are only an aid and may sh owa dis-
to rted view of obstacles, show them incor rectly or
not show them at all. They are not a substitute for
yo ur attention tothe sur roundings. The responsi-
bility for safe manoeuvring and parking remains
with you. Make sure that there are no persons, animals or objects
etc., in the manoeuvring area
while manoeuvring and parking.

out, and theé symbol appears in the driver's

ATer the parking space has been exited, a warn-
ing tone and theØ Active Parking Assist fin-
ished, take control of vehicle message prompt

accelerate, brake, steer and change gear yourself
again.
If yo u do not react tothe prom pttotake cont rol
of theve hicle, the system will brake theve hicle to
a standstill.

Pe rsons or objects de tected in the manoeuvring
ra nge could cause theve hicle tobrake sharply
and inter rupt the parking or exiting procedure.
The vehicle will then be held at a standstill. If you
depress the accelerator pedal, the parking or exit-
ing procedure is resumed.
Check the area around your vehicle again before

Re mo teParking Assist par ksyour vehicle or exits

ve hicle. You can monitor the manoeuvring and
parking procedure on your mobile phone.
Wi th Remo teParking Assist, you can car ryout all
th e parking procedures of Active Parking Assist.
Yo u can also position theve hicle directly in front
of a garage or a driv eway entrance and then use
Re mo teParking Assist toenter or exit a parking
space. Re
mo teParking Assist manages pulling away,
braking and steering. While Remo teParking Assist
is active, theve hicle is loc ked.
Re mo teParking Assist is only an aid. It is not a
substitute foryo ur attention tothe sur roundings.

If th e system de tects a malfunction or a system
limit during the manoeuvring or parking proce-
dure, the procedure will be cancelled:
R The vehicle is brought toa standstill.
R Transmission position jis selected and the
electric parking brake is applied automaticall y.
R The vehicle is switched o..
R The vehicle remains loc ked.
If th e parking manoeuvre is cancelled, a cor re-
sponding message is displa yed on the mobile
phone. Depending on
the situation, you can then take
cont rol of the procedure, manoeuvre theve hicle
back tothe starting position or manually take con-
trol of theve hicle.
The system limits of Active Parking Assist apply
(/ page 278).
Cer tain environmental conditions, such as sno w-
fa ll or heavy rain, may lead toa parking space
being measured inaccurately or toconnection
problems with the mobile phone. Only use
Re mo teParking Assist on le vel, high-g rip gr ound.
During the parking procedure, you should not
stand more than appr ox. 3.0 m away from the
ve hicle. Atgre ater dis tances, the procedure will
be inter rupted and a cor responding message will
be displ ayed on the mobile phone. If you mo ve
closer totheve hicle, you will be able tocontinue
th e procedure.

The manoeuvring brake function can inter vene

10 km/h.

Yo u can activate and deactivate the manoeuvring

Memory Parking Assist can park your vehicle
using a pr eviously stored parking space. You can
store parking procedures with a tota l distance of
up to500 m (100 m per parking or exiting proce-
dure).
During parking or exiting, the system can tr avel a
pr ev iously stored path of up toappr oximately
100 m toor out of the desired parking space, for
ex ample, from the driv eway entrance in tothe
ga rage.
Wi thin a radius of appr ox. 150 m, only one par k-
ing or exiting procedure can be recorded.
Only use Memory Parking Assist on private prop-
erty. Use on public roads, e.g. in public parking
spaces, is not permitted.
