R A person sitting on there ar seat must adopt
th e cor rect seat position and sit as far back
from there ar airbag as possible. Adjust the

occupants are sitting as far back from the air-
bag as possible and at an equal distance to

th e airbag, vehicle occupants on the outer rear
seats must obser vethefo llowing information in
particular:
R The occupants must alw ayske ep their feet on
th e 0oor. Otherwise, feet and legs of occu-
pants may be in the deployment area of the
re ar airbag.
If an occupant's feet cannot reach the 0oor,
th ey must adopt the cor rect seat position and
let their legs hang down the front of the seat.
R The feet or legs of the person on there ar seat
must not rest against the seat backrest of the
front seat, forex ample. Otherwise, their feet
and legs are in the deployment area of the
re ar airbag. This should be take n into consid-
eration especially if you are tr avelling with a
ch ild on there ar seat.
