SOUNDING THE PANIC ALARM
Press the button to sound thepanic alarm. Press the buttonagain or switch the ignition on toturn it off.
Note:The panic alarm only operates whenthe ignition is off.
LOCATING YOUR VEHICLE
Press the lock button twice withinthree seconds. The turn signallamps flash. We recommend youuse this method to locate your vehicle.

The remote control uses one coin-type 3-voltlithium battery CR2450 or equivalent.

OPERATING THE DOORS FROM
OUTSIDE YOUR VEHICLE
UNLOCKING AND LOCKING THEDOORS USING THE REMOTECONTROL
You can only use the remote control whenyour vehicle is stationary.
Unlocking the Doors
Press the button to unlock alldoors.
Locking the Doors
Press the button to lock all doors. One short flash of the turn signallamps confirms that your vehiclehas locked.
UNLOCKING AND LOCKING THEDOORS USING THE KEY BLADE
If there is a power door lock fault you canuse the key blade to lock and unlock thedoors.
If the central locking function does notoperate, lock the doors individually using thekey in the position shown.
Left-Hand Side
Turn clockwise to lock.
Right-Hand Side
Turn counterclockwise to lock.
Unlocking the Doors
If the central locking function does notoperate, unlock the driver door and thenunlock all other doors individually by pullingthe interior door handles.
Note:When the doors have been unlockedusing this method, the doors must be lockedindividually until the central locking functionhas been repaired.

HEADLAMPS
USING THE HIGH BEAM HEADLAMPS
Push the lever away from you toswitch the high beam on.
Push the lever forward again or pull the levertoward you to switch the high beams off.
Slightly pull the lever toward you and releaseit to flash the headlamps.
SWITCHING HEADLAMP EXIT DELAYON AND OFF
To switch headlamp exit delay on, pull theturn signal lever toward you after switchingyour vehicle off.
To switch headlamp exit delay off, pull theturn signal lever toward you again or switchyour vehicle on.
Note:The headlamps turn off after threeminutes with any door open or 30 secondsafter the last door closes.

SWITCHING THE TURN SIGNALLAMPS ON AND OFF
Push the lever up or down toswitch the turn signal lamps on.
Set the lever to the middle position to switchthe turn signal lamps off.
Note:Tap the lever up or down to make theturn signal lamps flash three times.
SWITCHING THE DAYTIME RUNNINGLAMPS ON AND OFF - VEHICLESWITH: CONFIGURABLE DAYTIMERUNNING LAMPS
WARNING: The daytime runninglamps system does not activate the rearlamps and may not provide adequatelighting during low visibility drivingconditions. Make sure you switch theheadlamps on, as appropriate, during alllow visibility conditions. Failure to do somay result in a crash.
1.Using the instrument cluster controls onthe steering wheel, select Settings.
2.Select Vehicle.
3.Select Lighting.
4.Switch Daytime Running Lights on oroff.
The daytime running lamps turn on when allof the following occur:
•You switch the system on.
•You switch your vehicle on.
•The transmission is not in park (P) forvehicles with automatic transmissions oryou release the parking brake forvehicles with manual transmissions.
•The lighting control is in the autolampsposition.
•The headlamps are off.
Note:Other lighting control positions do notturn on the daytime running lamps.

Daytime running lamps are always on unlessyou switch on the headlamps or your vehicleis in park (P).
SWITCHING THE FRONT FOG LAMPSON AND OFF (If Equipped)
The front fog lamp button is on the lightingcontrol.
Press the button to switch the frontfog lamps on or off.
Note:Only switch the front fog lamps onduring reduced visibility.
Note:The brightness of the daytime runninglamps may decrease when the front foglamps are switched on.
Note:When the lighting control is in theautolamps position, you cannot switch thefog lamps on unless the headlamps are on.
SWITCHING WELCOME LIGHTING ONAND OFF
Welcome lighting slowly turns on the exteriorlamps when you approach your vehicle withan authenticated device or unlock the doors.
1.Using the instrument cluster controls onthe steering wheel, select Settings.
2.Select Vehicle.
3.Select Lighting.
4.Switch Welcome Lighting on or off.
EXTERIOR LAMP INDICATORS
Front Fog Lamp
It illuminates when you switch thefront fog lamps on.
Turn Signal Lamp
It flashes when you switch the turnsignal lamps on.
Note:An increase in the rate of flashingwarns of a failed turn signal lamp.
EXTERIOR LAMP AUDIBLE WARNING
Exterior Lamps On
Sounds when you open the driver door andthe exterior lamps are on.
AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAM CONTROL
HOW DOES AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAMCONTROL WORK
Automatic high beam control turns the highbeams on if it is dark enough and no othertraffic is present. If it detects an approachingvehicle’s headlamps or tail lamps, or streetlighting ahead, the system turns the highbeams off.
A camera sensor, centrally mounted behindthe windshield of your vehicle, continuouslymonitors conditions to turn the high beamson and off.

Note:If you fold and unfold the mirrorsseveral times within one minute, the powerfold function may turn off to protect themotors from overheating.
Switching Auto-fold On and Off
1.Press Settings on the touchscreen.
2.Press Vehicle Settings.
3.Press Mirrors.
4.Switch Autofold on or off.
Loose Mirror
If you manually fold the power-foldingmirrors, they may not work properly evenafter you re-position them. You need to resetthem if:
•The mirrors vibrate when you drive.
•The mirrors feel loose.
•The mirrors do not stay in the folded orunfolded position.
•One of the mirrors is not in its normaldriving position.
To reset the power-fold feature, use thepower-folding mirror control to fold andunfold the mirrors. You may hear a loud noiseas you reset the power-folding mirrors. Thissound is normal. Repeat this process asneeded each time you manually fold themirrors.
AUTO-DIMMING EXTERIOR MIRROR
WHAT IS THE AUTO-DIMMINGEXTERIOR MIRROR
The driver exterior mirror dims when theinterior auto-dimming mirror turns on.
Memory Mirrors (If Equipped)
You can save and recall the mirror positionsthrough the memory function. See MemoryFunction (page 174).
Heated Exterior Mirrors
See Switching the Heated Mirrors On andOff (page 157).
Signal Indicator Mirrors (If Equipped)
The outer portion of the appropriate mirrorhousing blinks when you switch on the turnsignal.
Lincoln Welcome Mat
Projection lights, on the bottom of the mirrorhousings, project an image onto the grounda short distance from the vehicle.

1.Press the learn button on the garagedoor opener motor, you have 30 secondsto complete the next two steps.
2.Return to your vehicle.
3.Press and hold one of the threeHomeLink function buttons you want toprogram for two seconds, then release.Repeat this step. Depending on yourbrand of garage door opener, you mayneed to repeat this sequence a third time.

Gate Operator / CanadianProgramming
Canadian radio-frequency laws requiretransmitter signals to “time-out” (or quit) afterseveral seconds of transmission – which maynot be long enough for HomeLink to pick upthe signal during programming. Similar tothis Canadian law, some U.S. gate operators“time-out” in the same manner.
Note:If programming a garage door openeror gate operator, it is advised to unplug thedevice during the “cycling” process toprevent possible overheating.
1.Press and release, every two seconds,your hand-held transmitter until theHomeLink indicator light changes to arapidly blinking or continuously on light.
2.Release the hand-held transmitter button.
