If a seat position is already in the furthest
possible position and the seat is operated in
the same direction, the recorded position
may be slightly different when it is recalled.

■Operating the driving position memory
after turning the engine switch off
Recorded seat positions can be activated
up to 180 seconds after the driver’s door is
opened and another 60 seconds after it is
closed again.
■When the recorded seat position can-
not be recalled
The seat position may not be recalled in
some situations when the seat position is
recorded in a certain range. For details,
contact your Lexus dealer.

Take care during seat adjustment so that
the seat does not strike the rear passen-
ger or squeeze your body against the
steering wheel.

When the automatic anti-glare function is
in ON mode, the indicator illuminates.
The function will set to ON mode each
time the engine switch is turned to IGNI-
TION ON mode.
Pressing the button turns the function to
OFF mode. (The indicator also turns
off.)
■To prevent sensor error
To ensure that the sensors operate prop-
erly, do not touch or cover them.

■Using automatic mode in cold weather
(power type)
When automatic mode is used in cold
weather, the door mirror could freeze up
and automatic stowing and return may not
be possible. In this case, remove any ice and
snow from the door mirror, then either
operate the mirror using manual mode or
move the mirror by hand.
■Customization (power type)
The automatic mirror folding and extending
operation can be changed.

When the mirror select switch is in the
“L” or “R” position, the outside rear
view mirrors will automatically angle
downwards when the vehicle is revers-
ing in order to give a better view of the
ground.
To disable this function, move the mir-
ror select switch to the neutral position
(between “L” or “R”).
■Adjusting the mirror angle when
the vehicle is reversing
With the shift lever in R, adjust the mir-
ror angle at a desired position. The
adjusted angle will be memorized and
the mirror will automatically tilt to the
memorized angle whenever the shift
lever is shifted to R from next time.
The memorized downward tilt position of
the mirror is linked to the normal position
(angle adjusted with the shift lever in other
than R). Therefore, if the normal position is
changed after adjustment, the tilt position
will also change.
When the normal position is changed,
readjust the angle in reversing.
WARNING
■When a mirror is moving
To avoid personal injury and mirror mal-
function, be careful not to get your hand
caught by the moving mirror.

●The driver is responsible for all the
power window operations, including
the operation for the passengers. In
order to prevent accidental operation,
especially by a child, do not let a child
operate the power windows. It is possi-
ble for children and other passengers
to have body parts caught in the power
window. Also, when riding with a child,
it is recommended to use the window
lock switch. ( P.124)
●Check to make sure that all passen-
gers do not have any part of their body
in a position where it could be caught
when a window is being operated.
●When using the wireless remote con-
trol or mechanical key and operating
the power windows, operate the
power window after checking to make
sure that there is no possibility of any
passenger having any of their body
parts caught in the window. Also do
not let a child operate window by the
wireless remote control or mechanical
key. It is possible for children and other
passengers to get caught in the power
window.
●When exiting the vehicle, turn the
engine switch off, carry the key and
exit the vehicle along with the child.
There may be accidental operation,
due to mischief, etc., that may possibly
lead to an accident.
■Jam protection function
●Never use any part of your body to
intentionally activat e the jam protec-
tion function.
●The jam protection function may not
work if something gets jammed just
before the window is fully closed. Be
careful not to get any part of your body
jammed in the window.
■Catch protection function
●Never use any part of your body or
clothing to intentionally activate the
catch protection function.
●The catch protection function may not
work if something gets caught just
before the window is fully opened. Be
careful not to get any part of your body
or clothing caught in the window.
