Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control can automatically adjust the vehicle speed when it detects a curved road ahead and when it receives road information from the navigation system
.
To turn on NSCC, go to the User Settings in the instrument cluster or the Vehicle Settings* in the audio head unit, by selecting Driving Assistance, Highway Auto S p e e d C h a n g e . W h e n S C C i s o n a n d o p e r a t i n g , a n d N S C C i s t u r n e d o n , t h e n N S C C is enabled and the AUTO icon F will illuminate white on the Instrument Cluster .
When NSCC detects a curve ahead, activates, and reduces the vehicle speed, the AUTO icon F will turn green . When the vehicle passes the curved road, the vehicle may return to its previously set SCC speed .
Autoset (Automatic change of set speed): NSCC automatically changes the set speed of Smart Cruise Control using the speed limit information of the navigation system* to help you drive at a safe speed .
REMINDERS:
•
NSCC requires an active navigation subscription
•
NSCC is only available on controlled access roads and highways
Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop & Go*†4 (continued)
REMINDERS:
•
The cruise control system will not activate until the brake pedal has been depressed at least once after the ignition is ON or engine star ting
•
When following a vehicle, the system will automatically adjust your cruise speed based on the vehicle detected in front
•
SCC is also canceled when the driver ’s door is opened, gear shift is changed out of D (Drive), EPB is activated and various other conditions . See the Owner ’s Manual for other conditions
•
If SCC is left on, it can be activated inadver tently . Keep the system off when not in use to avoid set ting a speed which the driver is not aware of
•The speed set ting for SCC can be adjusted under the following conditions:
•You must be travelling at a minimum speed of 5 mph (may var y on newer models)
•
When following a vehicle, there is no minimum speed requirement
•
When following a vehicle, the system can automatically adjust your cruise speed based on the vehicle detected ahead . If the vehicle detected ahead remains at a standstill and your vehicle is also stopped for longer than 3 seconds, the system will need to be reactivated by pressing the gas pedal or pressing the RES but ton

Highway Driving Assist (HDA)*†4
Highway Driving Assist (HDA) is designed to adjust the speed of the vehicle when driving on limited/controlled access highways/freeways . The system can adjust the vehicle’s speed based on available highway speed information . The automatic speed setting mode is designed to set the speed automatically by adjusting to the current speed limits of the highway the vehicle is traveling on .
To activate HDA , turn Smar t Cruise Control (SCC) on by pressing the Driving Assist CRUISE / Driving Assist Mode CRUISE

A on the Steering Wheel . When HDA is activated and the conditions are met, the Instrument Cluster indicator B will illuminate green . If the conditions are not met, HDA will be in standby mode and the indicator light B will illuminate white . When in operation, and if both lanes are recognized, the Instrument Cluster will show the lanes illuminated white and the HDA indicator illuminated green B .
If HDA is activated, conditions are met and the SCC speed is set by the driver (at the posted
highway speed limit or slower), HDA will enter the automatic speed setting mode . The set speed and AUTO will be displayed C in green and an audible alert will sound .
HDA will operate only when these conditions are met:
•
The vehicle is traveling slower than 110 mph or the highway speed limit
•
When driving on limited/controlled access highways/freeways
•
When the SCC is on and operating
•
When the SCC speed is set to current posted highway speed or slower
HDA User Settings:
To enable HDA , press the Mode button D on the Steering Wheel and go to User Settings in the Instrument Cluster . Press the Move (OK) button E up/down and press to Driver Assistance, then Driving Assist, Highway Driving Assist . Then press the OK button E to enable .
Some models access settings through the Vehicle Settings in the audio head unit . Press the Setup
hard key on the audio head unit, then press VEHICLE on the screen to enter Vehicle Settings .
Highway Driving Assist is not a substitute for safe driving, may not detect all objects around the vehicle, and only functions on cer tain federal highways . Always drive safely and use caution .

You can set a speed limit offset to the posted speed limit by going to User Set tings, Driver Assistance, Speed Limit, then Speed Limit Offset . Set the offset to “0” if you want the vehicle to travel at the detected speed limit, when ISL A is on

Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA)†4
Intelligent Speed Limit Assist is designed to use the information from the posted speed limit and the navigation system to inform the driver of the speed limit .
When ISL A is on and active, the system will display an alert on the Instrument Cluster LCD D of the detected speed limit . If the vehicle’s current speed exceeds the detected speed limit, a warning will sound and the vehicle’s current speed will blink on the LCD .
ISLA User Settings:
To turn ISL A on, press the Mode button E on the Steering Wheel and go to User Settings on the Instrument Cluster LCD . Press the Move (OK) button F up/down and select Driver Assistance by pressing the OK button F, then Intelligent Speed Limit Assist .
Select one of the three modes:
•Speed Limit Assist: Informs the driver of the detected speed limit, display a message change the set speed of the MSL A or SCC to help the driver stay within the posted speed limit
•Speed Limit Warning: Informs the driver of the detected speed limit and warn the driver when the vehicle is traveling faster than the posted speed limit
•Off: MSL A is disabled
REMINDERS:
•
Vehicle must be parked and in a safe location to change the speed set tings
•
Additional information may be displayed if additional road sign information is detected
•
ISL A is a supplemental system . It is not a substitute for safe driving . Obey all speed limits and always pay at tention to the road and its conditions

Pairing a Phone
For instructions on how to pair a phone, refer to the Car Multimedia System User ’s Manual or your vehicle’s Quick Start Guide .
How to Place a Call
When using the voice command feature, wait for the system BEEP before speaking the command .
There are two options for placing a call:
•Option 1: Press the Receive/Place Call button C (displays the phone screen with call history)
•Option 2: Press the Talk button* A . Then say the command “Call {name}” or “Dial {number}”, followed by contact name or number

Audio System Setup Options – Press the SETUP key, then using the touchscreen, press the menu item to enter (Display, Sound, Clock/ Calendar, Phone, System) . Adjust the available settings for each equipped audio system setup option by pressing the onscreen buttons/arrows . Audio system setup options may include the following:
Display settings – Adjusting the Brightness, Mode Popup, MP3 Information Display
Sound settings – Sound Settings, Speed Dependent Volume Control, Voice Recognition Volume, Touchscreen Beep
Clock/Calendar settings – Clock Settings, Time Format, Calendar Settings, Clock Display
System settings – Memor y Information, Prompt Feedback, Language
Presets: Press the favorite (star) button near the station information

Sound Settings – To adjust the Standard Audio Systems sound settings:

Press the SETUP key on the audio head unit or the onscreen MENU button, when in MEDIA mode
2 . Select the onscreen SOUND button

Select the menu item (Position, Tone, Speed Dependent Volume, Beep)

Using the touchscreen, press arrows to adjust the settings

Press briefly to do the following:• FM/AM mode: Play the previous/next frequency .• SiriusXM® mode: Change the channel .• MEDIA mode: Change the track, file or title (except for AUX) .
Press and hold to do the following (over 0.8 seconds):• FM/AM mode: Move quickly through all of the frequencies . When released, the system seeks the next available frequency .• MEDIA mode: Rewinds or fast for wards the track or file (except for AUX and Bluetooth® Audio) .

•Volume level bet ween different audio modes:
– When switching bet ween audio modes (AM, FM, Bluetooth® Audio, etc .), the audio system saves the previous volume level you were listening to . For example, if you were listening to FM radio at volume level 20 then switched to Bluetooth® Audio and adjusted the volume level to 30, the volume level will be at 20 when you switch back to FM radio
– When using Bluetooth® Audio, the overall volume is dependent on your device’s volume . If the volume is turned down low on your device it will remain low even if the system volume is turned up
•This system suppor ts Android Auto™ (USB & wireless connection) and Apple CarPlay® (wireless connection only)
•When connected to Android Auto™ or Apple CarPlay® on your smar tphone, the smar tphone’s navigation system may also be available
