Safe Exit Assist (SEA)†6 a
Safe Exit Assist can help prevent passengers from opening their door by displaying a warning message on the Instrument Cluster and sounding an audible warning when a vehicle is detected, approaching from behind, after your vehicle has stopped.
SEA keeps the sliding doors closed. When pressing the Power Sliding Door lock button, SEA warns the driver of the risk of collision with a vehicle approaching the blind spot area.
To turn on SEA , go to User Settings in the Instrument cluster or press SETUP in the Vehicle Settings* in the audio head unit, then select Driver Assistance, Blind-Spot Safety, and select Safe Exit Assist.

Driver Attention Warning (DAW)†7
Driver Attention Warning is designed to alert the driver if it detects inattentive driving practices and, in certain situations, can give a warning signal to take a break from driving.
•Inattentive Driving Warning: DAW will inform the driver of the driver ’s attention level and will recommend taking a break when it falls below a certain level
•Leading Vehicle Departure Alert: DAW will inform the driver when the front vehicle departs from a stop
If DAW is activated, the DAW information A will appear on the Instrument Cluster LCD when you select the Assist mode in the Instrument Cluster . A message, “Consider taking a break,” B appears on the LCD and a warning
sounds to suggest the driver take a break when the driver ’s attention level becomes low.
DAW User Settings:
To turn DAW on/off, with the ignition on, press the Mode button C on the Steering Wheel and go to User Settings in the Instrument Cluster. Then go to Driver Assistance and select Driver Attention Warning.

Some models access settings through the Vehicle Settings in the audio head
unit. Press the Setup hard key on the audio head unit, then press VEHICLE
on the screen to enter Vehicle Settings
•DAW Warning Timing: To adjust the warning timing, go to User Settings,
Driver Assistance then Warning Timing.

Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC)*†6
Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control can automatically adjust the vehicle speed when it detects a curved road ahead and when it receives road information from the navigation system.
To turn on NSCC, go to the User Settings in the instrument cluster or the Vehicle Settings* in the audio head unit, by selecting Driving Assistance, Highway Auto Speed Change. When SCC is on and operating, and NSCC is turned on, then NSCC is enabled and the AUTO icon A will illuminate white on the Instrument Cluster.
When NSCC detects a curve ahead, activates, and reduces the vehicle speed, the AUTO icon A will turn green. When the vehicle passes the curved road, the vehicle may return to its previously set SCC speed.
Autoset (Automatic change of set speed): NSCC automatically changes the set speed of Smart Cruise Control using the speed limit information of the navigation system* to help you drive at a safe speed.

•NSCC requires an active navigation subscription
•NSCC is only available on controlled access roads and highways

Highway Driving Assist (HDA)*†6 a
Highway Driving Assist (HDA) is designed to adjust the speed of the vehicle when driving on limited/controlled access highways. The system can adjust the vehicle’s speed based on available highway speed information. The automatic speed setting mode is designed to set the speed automatically by adjusting to the current speed limits of the highway vehicle is traveling on.
To enable HDA , go to User Settings in the Instrument cluster or the Vehicle Settings* in the audio head unit. Go to Driver Assistance > Driving Assist > Highway Driving Assist.
To activate HDA , turn Smar t Cruise Control (SCC) on by pressing the Driving Assist (Cruise) button A on the Steering Wheel controls.
HDA will operate only when these conditions are met:
•When the SCC speed is set to current highway and controlled/limited access roads
•The vehicle is traveling slower than 110 mph
•
When driving on limited access highways, such as, Interstate, Federal and State freeways
•When SCC is on and operating
When HDA is activated and the conditions are met, the Instrument Cluster indicator light B will illuminate green. If the conditions are not met, HDA will be in standby mode and the indicator light B will illuminate white.
When in operation, and if both lanes are recognized, a display C will show the lanes illuminated white and the steering wheel indicator illuminated green.
If HDA is activated and conditions are met, HDA will enter the automatic speed setting mode. The set speed and AUTO will be displayed D in green and an audible alert will sound.

•When the ignition is cycled, the system returns to its previous state, on or off

Rear View Monitor (RVM)*†6 a
RVM is a supplemental system that displays the view behind the vehicle through the audio head unit screen while the vehicle is in Reverse.
RVM activates when the:
•Engine Start/Stop button* is in the ON position
•Gear Shift Lever is in the R (Reverse) position

Surround View Monitor (SVM) is a parking support system that shows the areas around the front, rear, left and right sides of the vehicle via four cameras displayed onto the audio head unit screen.
•Press the Parking/ View button A to turn on Surround View Monitor. Press the button again to turn off the function
•Other view modes can be selected by touching the view icons B on the Surround View Monitor screen
•Surround View Monitor Auto On: With Driver Assistance → Parking Safety → Surround View Monitor Auto On selected from the Settings menu, the front parking assist view screen is displayed when Parking Distance Warning warns the driver while

Forward/Reverse Parking Distance Warning (PDW) Video

Forward/Reverse Parking Distance Warning (PDW) is a supplemental system that is designed to assist the driver by chiming if any object is detected within the sensing area to the front, rear and sides of the vehicle when backing up.
When the ignition is ON, Reverse PDW is on and activates when gear shift is moved into reverse.
To turn on Front PDW, press the Parking Safety button B.
Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance
Assist (PCA)†6 a
Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist (PCA) is designed to detect certain objects/pedestrians behind the vehicle and issues an audible warning and/or applies emergency braking to reduce the possibility of a collision when the vehicle is in reverse.
PCA can be turned on in the User Settings in the instrument cluster or the Vehicle Settings* in the audio head unit by selecting Driver Assistance, Parking Safety and then one of the following: Active Assist, Warning Only, Off.
When a potential collision is detected, the system applies emergency braking for about two seconds. A warning message on the Instrument Cluster will display A reminding the driver to press the brake immediately.

If the vehicle is moving at speeds over 3 mph, PDW may not activate correctly
•
When more than t wo objects are sensed at the same time, the closest one will be recognized first
PDW is not a substitute for proper and safe backing-up procedures. Always drive safely and use caution when backing up. PDW may not detect ever y object behind the vehicle.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)†7
ESC is designed to help stabilize the vehicle during certain cornering maneuvers. It is a good idea to keep ESC turned ON for daily driving whenever possible.
Press ESC OFF button B to disable Traction Control in ESC (ESC OFF indicator will illuminate).
To turn both Traction Control and Stability Control off, press and hold ESC OFF button B (ESC OFF indicator will illuminate, and an alert sounds).
REMINDERS:
•
ESC is active by default at vehicle star tup. When ignition is cycled, ESC will turn ON again
•
The ESC Indicator Light in the Instrument Cluster will illuminate whenever ESC is in operation

Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC)†7
HAC can help prevent the vehicle from rolling backward, for two seconds, when accelerating from a stop while on a steep incline.
HAC automatically activates whether the ESC is OFF or ON but does NOT activate when the ESC has malfunctioned.

Press left/right side of switch A to adjust the display brightness of the instrument panel illumination.
REMINDER: Instrument Cluster Control does not change brightness when lights are turned off.

Lifting Wipers (Wiper Service Mode)
To lift the windshield wipers to clean windshield, inspect or replace wiper blades or raise wipers in snow/ice conditions without damaging the hood, the blades need to be moved to the service position F to prevent damaging the hood.
With the ignition ON, turn the ignition OFF, and within 20 seconds move the wiper switch to the MIST position E and hold the switch for more than two seconds until the wiper blade is in the fully up position.
To return wipers to normal position, turn the ignition ON, then activate M I S T.

To operate:
•Turn Signals - Move lever Up/Down for Right/Left Turn Signal A

One-Touch Lane Change Signal is activated by briefly pressing the Turn Signal Lever slightly for less than 1 second and then releasing C. The lane change signal will blink 3 times.
To change how many times the Lane Change Signal blinks (3/5/7), go to User
