Reverse Parking Aid Function*
The left or right mirror buttons A need to be depressed for the Reverse Parking Aid Function to operate.
When the gear shift lever is moved into R (Reverse) and while the vehicle is moving backwards, the outside rearview mirrors B will rotate downward to aid in reverse parking.
To turn OFF the function, press the L or R buttons again.
The outside rearview mirrors will automatically return to their original positions when:
•The Engine Start/Stop Button is in the OFF position
•The gear shift lever is moved to any position except R (Reverse)
•
Outside rearview mirror switches are not depressed

while the gear shift is in P (Park)
To turn the engine OFF:
•Press the ENGINE START/STOP button
To use the ENGINE START/STOP button, you must have the Smart Key fob inside the vehicle.
REMINDER: When the outside rear view mirror but tons (L or R) A are not depressed, the Reverse Parking Aid Function will not operate and the outside rear view mirrors will not rotate downward

ACC position
•When in the OFF position and without depressing the brake pedal, press the ENGINE START/STOP but ton once (amber light)
ON position
•When already in the ACC position (orange light) and without depressing the brake pedal, press the ENGINE START/STOP but ton again (reddish orange light)

When in the OFF position and without depressing the brake pedal, press the ENGINE START/STOP but ton t wice (reddish orange light)
Keeping the vehicle in ACC or the ON position for extended periods of time without turning the engine on may discharge the vehicle’s battery

REMINDERS:
•
In an emergency situation while the vehicle is in motion, you are able to turn the engine off and to the ACC position by pressing the ENGINE START/STOP but ton for more than 2 seconds or 3 times successively within 3 seconds
•
If Smar t Key fob bat ter y is dead, with the lock but ton facing the ENGINE START/STOP but ton, hold the fob up against the ENGINE START/STOP but ton and press to star t the engine while pressing the brake pedal

Sound Settings: To adjust the sound settings: 1. Press the SETUP key on the audio head unit or the onscreen MENU button, when in MEDIA mode. Select the onscreen SOUND button, or SOUND SETTINGS

Presets: Press the STAR button next to or below the Radio Station display. This saves the current station as a preset.
SiriusXM® Smart Favorites: For the first 10 favorite SiriusXM® channels, you may play live or repeat from the beginning of a song or a program segment. In Radio mode, choose SiriusXM®, then select any of the first ten favorites. During song or program play, tap the Skip Backward icon to start from the beginning of the song or program. Tap the Play Live icon to return to the live broadcast.
Custom Key H: A programmable key to provide quick access to one of several available system features. To Program the Custom Key: Press and hold the Custom key. Select one of the available features you would like the Custom key to open.

Follow these steps to activate your UVO link system:
1. Enter the activation screen on your vehicle’s head unit:
a. Press SETUP key
b. Press UVO icon
c. Press Activate UVO
2. Read and agree to Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and press SUBMIT
3. Enter smartphone number or email address to receive a verification code, then press SUBMIT
4. Follow these steps to receive your verification code using your phone text message or email:
a. Check your phone text message or email for verification code
b. Open the link in your text message or email. A page will open requesting that you create your account
N o t e : If you already have a Kia Owners Portal account using the email as your login ID, you will need to provide your password prior to receiving the verification code
c. Enter your first name, last name, email, phone number, and account password, and click CREATE ACCOUNT. A page will open displaying your verification code
d. Enter the code in the head unit and press ACTIVATE
e. Go back to the page with your verification code and press “I have entered my PIN.” A link will be provided to download the Kia Access with UVO link app from your app store. After installing the app, log in and enjoy

Multimedia USB Port C: Use the Aux port to connect audio devices and the Multimedia USB port to connect USB audio devices and smartphones.
AC Inverter*: 115V/100 watt power inverters are located in the back of the center console and in the luggage zone* (See page 8 for ON/OFF button information).

Power Sliding Doors
Using the driver ’s panel controls, press the left/right Power Sliding Door buttons A, on the driver ’s panel controls, on the center pillars B or on the key fob C to automatically open/close the sliding doors.
REMINDER: If the POWER DOOR OFF but ton F is depressed, the Smar t Power Liftgate* will not operate.
Smart Key Auto Open/Close*: To automatically open and close the Power Liftgate / Sliding Doors, press and hold buttons D (close) and E (open) for more than 3 seconds.
Power Door OFF Button: When button F is ON (not depressed), the power sliding doors and power liftgate can be controlled with the buttons on the center pillar trim B or liftgate. Also, the doors will open/close automatically when pulling the handles from the inside or outside.
Smart Sliding Door with Auto Open
The sliding doors can be opened hands-free if the Smart Key is detected within the system range. The hazard warning lights will flash and a chime will sound two times and the door nearest the Smart Key will open. To activate the Smart Sliding Door with Auto Open, on some models, go the User Settings in
the Instrument Cluster and select Smart Liftgate. On other models, press the SETUP key on the audio head unit. Then press VEHICLE, DOOR and SMART SLIDING DOOR.
Passenger View* / Passenger Talk*
Passenger View, an in-cabin camera, helps the front passenger talk with rear passengers while viewing them on the audio head unit screen. On the head unit screen, press the Passenger View icon G.
Passenger Talk: Press the button H located on the overhead console to use the Passenger Talk, cabin intercom, function.
REMINDER: The system will not operate when the Smar t Key is detected continuously near the vehicle after the doors are locked, or when a door is not locked or closed.
