Vehicle Dynamic Control
(VDC) OFF indicator light
This indicator light comes on when the VDC is
turned off in the lower display. This indicates
the VDC has been turned off.
Turn the VDC on again by reactivating it in
the lower display, or restarting the engine.
The system will be reactivated. For additional
information, see “Vehicle Dynamic Control
(VDC) system” (P. 5-140).
The VDC light also comes on when the igni-
tion switch is placed in the ON position. The
light will turn off after a period of time if the
system is operational. If the light stays on or
comes on along with the
indicator light
while you are driving, have the VDC system
checked. It is recommended that you visit an
INFINITI retailer for this service.
WARNING
VDC should remain on unless freeing a ve-
hicle from mud or snow.
While the VDC system is operating, you
might feel a slight vibration or hear the sys-
tem working when starting the vehicle or ac-
celerating, but this is normal.
WARNING/INDICATOR LIGHTS
(other)
For additional information, see “Vehicle in-
formation display” (P. 2-19).
Automatic brake hold
indicator light (white/green)
This light illuminates to show the status of
the automatic brake hold system.
When the automatic brake hold system is on
standby, the indicator light will illuminate
white.
When the automatic brake hold system is
operating, the indicator light will illuminate
green.
For additional information, see “Automatic
brake hold” (P. 5-25).
ECO drive indicator light
(green) (if so equipped)
When the ECO mode has been selected, the
ECO drive indicator light will illuminate, blink,
or remain off depending on the accelerator
pedal operation. This is to help the driver drive
economically. For additional information, see
“ECO mode” (P. 5-30).
Front fog light indicator
light (green) (if so equipped)
The front fog light indicator light illuminates
when the front fog lights are on. For addi-
tional information, see “Fog light switch”
(P. 2-43).
High Beam Assist indicator
light (green)
This indicator light illuminates when the
headlights come on while the headlight
switch is in the AUTO position with the high
beams selected. This indicates that the high
beam assist is operational.
For additional information, see “Headlight
switch” (P. 2-36).
High beam indicator light
(blue)
This blue light comes on when the headlight
high beams are on and goes out when the
low beams are selected.
The high beam indicator light also comes on
when the passing signal is activated.

Follow me home lighting (if so
equipped)
The follow me home feature allows you to
provide lighting from the vehicle after the
ignition switch has been placed in the OFF
position. Pulling the high beam lever toward
you once will activate the headlights for ap-
proximately 30 seconds. After that period of
time, it will automatically switch off. It is pos-
sible to pull the lever up to four times to
increase the lighting period up to 2 minutes.
NOTE:
The follow me home feature can be canceled
by placing the ignition switch in the ON
position.
Headlight beam select
1To select the high beam function, rotate
the headlight control switch to the
position, then push the lever forward.
The high beam lights come on and the
light illuminates.
2Pull the lever back to select the low beam.
3Pulling and releasing the lever flashes the
headlight high beams on and off.
High Beam Assist
The High Beam Assist system will operate
when the vehicle is driven at speeds of ap-
proximately 25 mph (40 km/h) and above. If
an oncoming vehicle or leading vehicle ap-
pears in front of your vehicle when the head-
light high beam is on, the headlight will be
switched to the low beam automatically.
WARNING
• The High Beam Assist system is a conve-
nience but it is not a substitute for safe
driving operation. The driver should re-
main alert at all times, ensure safe driv-
ing practices and switch the high beams
and low beam manually when necessary.
• The high beam or low beam may not
switch automatically under the follow-
ing conditions. Switch the high beam and
low beam manually.
– During bad weather (rain, fog, snow,
wind, etc.).
– When a light source similar to a head-
light or tail light is in the vicinity of the
vehicle.
