Service data recorders in your vehicle arecapable of collecting and storingdiagnostic information about your vehicle.This potentially includes information aboutthe performance or status of varioussystems and modules in the vehicle, suchas engine, throttle, steering or brakesystems. EVENT DATA
This vehicle is equipped with an event datarecorder. The main purpose of an eventdata recorder is to record, in certain crashor near crash-like situations, such as anairbag deployment or hitting a roadobstacle; this data will assist inunderstanding how a vehicle’s systemsperformed. The event data recorder isdesigned to record data related to vehicledynamics and safety systems for a shortperiod of time, typically 30 seconds or less.
The event data recorder in this vehicle isdesigned to record such data as:
•How various systems in your vehiclewere operating.
•Whether or not the driver andpassenger seatbelts werebuckled/fastened.
•How far (if at all) the driver wasdepressing the accelerator and/or thebrake pedal.
•How fast the vehicle was traveling.
•Where the driver was positioning thesteering wheel.
This data can help provide a betterunderstanding of the circumstances inwhich crashes and injuries occur.

Emergency Assistance
If you set emergency assistance to alwayson, you cannot switch it off with a MyKey.
Do Not Disturb
If you set do not disturb to always on, youcannot switch it off with a MyKey.
Note:If a phone is connected using AppleCarPlay or Android Auto while driving witha MyKey, the driver can receive phone callsand text messages even if the do not disturbrestriction is on, and if the vehicle comeswith satellite radio, there is no restriction onthe adult content.
Traction and Stability Control
If you set traction control or stabilitycontrol to always on, you cannot switch itoff with a MyKey.
CREATING A MYKEY
1.Raise the console storagecompartment lid.
2.Place the intelligent access key in theposition shown.
3.Switch the ignition on.
4.Using your touchscreen, press Menu.
5.Press Settings.
6.Press Vehicle.
7.Press MyKey.
8.Press Create MyKey.
9.Press Yes if you want to create the keyas a MyKey. A confirmation messageappears on the screen.
10.Switch the ignition off.
Note:We recommend that you label thiskey.
PROGRAMMING A MYKEY
You can program any remote control tobecome a restricted MyKey, but you mustleave one unmodified as an admin key.
1.Switch the ignition on using an adminkey.
2.Press Settings on the touchscreen.
3.Press Vehicle Settings.
4.Press MyKey.
5.Select a setting and press the OKbutton.

CLEARING ALL MYKEYS
When you clear all MyKeys, you remove allrestrictions and return all MyKeys to theiroriginal admin key status.
1.Switch the ignition on using an adminkey.
2.Press Settings on the touchscreen.
3.Press Vehicle Settings.
4.Press MyKey.

SWITCHING AUTOMATIC ENGINESTOP ON AND OFF
1.Press Settings on the touchscreen.
2.Press Vehicle Settings.
3.Switch 30min Max Idle on or off.
Note:You cannot permanently switch offthe automatic shutdown. If you switch it off,it turns on each time you switch the ignitionon.
OVERRIDING AUTOMATIC ENGINESTOP
Note: You cannot permanently switch offthe automatic engine stop feature. Whenyou switch it off temporarily, it turns on atthe next ignition cycle.
You can stop the engine shutdown, or resetthe timer, at any point before the30-second countdown has expired bydoing any of the following:
•Pressing the brake pedal or acceleratorpedal.
•Pressing the OK or RESET buttonduring the countdown.
ACCESSING THE PASSIVE KEY
BACKUP POSITION
If you are unable to start the engine, do thefollowing:
1.Open the center console storagecompartment lid.
2.With the buttons facing upward andthe unlock button facing the front ofyour vehicle, place the passive key intothe backup slot.
3.With the key in this position, press thebrake pedal then press the push buttonignition switch to switch the ignition onand start your vehicle.

7.Make sure to seat the connector doorin the closed position.
8.We recommend that you use a doorstorage bag on the door you areremoving.
Note:Make sure you fully secure the bag.Make sure the bag contains the edge andcorners of the door to prevent accidentaldoor damage before proceeding with theremoval of the door.
9.Locate the tool pouch and use the hextool to remove the lower hinge bolt.
10.Remove the upper hinge bolt.
Note:Store the hinge bolts in the pocket ofthe tool pouch.
11.Locate the lower lift handle.
