If you notice any of the following symptoms, refer to the following
table for the likely cause and the solution.
If the symptom is not resolved by the solution, have the vehicle
inspected by your Toyota dealer.
NOTICE
• When washing the camera, rinse it with a la rge quantity of
water and then wipe it clean
with a soft cloth dampened with
water.
Do not strongly rub the camera
lens, as it may be scratched and
will not be able to transmit a
clear image.
• Do not apply hot water to the camera in cold weather, as the
sudden change of temperature
may cause the camera to not
operate properly.
• When using a high pressure washer to wash the vehicle, do
not directly spra y the camera
and its surrounding area, as
doing so may cause the camera
to not operate properly.
●Do not subject t he camera to a
strong impact as this could
cause a malfunction.
If this happens, have the vehicle
inspected by your Toyota dealer
as soon as possible.

era.

Putting the outside rear view mirror
folding switch in the neutral position
sets the mirrors to automatic mode. Automatic mode allows the folding
or extending of the mirrors to be
linked to locking/unlocking of the
doors.
■Using automatic mode in cold
weather (power type)
When automatic mode is used in
cold weather, the door mirror could
freeze up and automatic stowing
and return may not be possible. In
this case, remove any ice and snow
from the door mirror, then either
operate the mirror using manual
mode or move the mirror by hand.
■Customization
The automatic mirror folding and
extending operation can be
changed.

in the L or R position, the out-
side rear view mirrors will auto-
matically angle downwards

■Adjusting the mirror angle
when the vehicle is revers-
ing
With the shift lever in R, adjust
the mirror angle at a desired
position. The adjusted angle will
be memorized and the mirror
will automatically tilt to the mem-
orized angle whenever the shift
lever is shifted to R from next
time.
The memorized downward tilt
position of the mirror is linked to
the normal position (angle
adjusted with the shift lever in
other than R). Therefore, if the
normal position is changed after
adjustment, the tilt position will
also change.
When the normal position is
changed, readjust the angle in
reversing.
