When trouble arises

The coolant level is satisfactory if it is between the “FULL” or “F”
and “LOW” lines on the reservoir.

Water can be used in an emer-
gency if coolant is unavailable.
Start the engine and turn the air conditioning system on to check
that the radiator cooling fan operate and to check for coolant leaks
from the radiator or hoses.
The fan operate when the air conditioning system is turned on immediately
after a cold start. Confirm that the fan is operating by checking the fan
sound and air flow. If it is difficult to check these, turn the air conditioning
system on and off repeatedly. (The fan may not operate in freezing tem-
peratures.)

Is the engine switch in IGNITION ON mode?
When locking the doors, turn the engine switch off. (P. 219)

Is the electronic key left inside the vehicle?
When locking the doors, make sure that you have the electronic key on
your person.
●The function may not operate properly due to the condition of the radio

●Is the child-protector lock set?
The rear door cannot be opened from inside the vehicle when the lock is
set. Open the rear door from outside and then unlock the child-protector
