St arting from basic setting 3,you can mo ve a
luxury rear seat forve hicle occupants forw ards or
backwards by5 cm. In doing so, make sure that
ve hicle occupants ha vesu1cient leg room to
re duce therisk of injury during braking. #
Pull release handle 1inthe direction of the
ar ro w. #
With th ere lease handle pulled, slide the luxury
re ar seat tothe desired position. #
Let go of release handle 1. #
Slide the luxury rear seat forw ards and bac k-
wa rds until the car riage is cor rectly engaged
on bo thsides.

ins talled in the same way as a standard rear seat (/
page 86). Due tothe high-quality
design and thete ch nical equipment,

luxury rear seats ins talled at a quali/ed spe-
cialist workshop.

If yo u mo vethe seat position outside the
mar ked area, the window airbag can no longer
pr ov ide optimum pr otection.
The pr otective e.ect of the window airbag is
gr adually reduced and may in some positions
no longer be pr ovided at all. #
Engage the seat‑/‑bunk combination on
th e guide rail within the mar ked area. &

Rotate the head restraints by180° and insert
th em into brac kets 5 onthere ar side of the
seat backrest. #
Pull backrest release handle 8up and adjust
th e seat backrest toa horizontal position.
When doing so, hold on tothe seat backrest
only bythegr ab st rap. #
Fold down the short section of the bed exten-
sion 6.

Perform the steps toset up the ber thin
re ve rse order.
ATer use, /nish bymoving the seat/bunk combi-
nation back tothe basic setting and ensure that
th e seat backrest is in an upright position.

youre mo vethe seat/bunk combination, a
re ar ben chseat or a seat, the seat slider may slide
in a guide rail. The seat sliders will then no longer
be parallel in the guide rails. In this case, you will
no longer be able to/t there specti veseating. The seat sliders must be mo
ved using only the handle
fo r seat sliders 1or at a quali/ed specialist work-
shop in order toprev ent therisk of damage.
In addition, you can use the end of the handle to
open and close the loc kson the sliders.

Place the tip of handle 1onto the middle bolt
of thre e bolts 4. #
Swing handle 1down wards onto seat slider

Press seat slider 2into guide rail3 with
handle 1.

Always make sure that there ar ben ch
seat is engaged as described. In order
toensure that there ar ben chseat can
securely engage, keep the seat guide rails and
anchorages in theve hicle 0oor free of dirt and for-
eign objects.
If th e indicator tab of the seat anchorage is not
re tracted into the seat leg, the seat is not cor rectly
engaged. Engage the seat again.

The rear seat anchorages of the seat/bunk combi-
nation are cor rectly engaged when the seat ancho-
ra ge s engage audibly and indicator tabs 4 onthe
seat anchorages are no longer visible and ha ve

Re peatedly switching on the seat heating can
cause the seat cushion and seat backrest pad-

Do not repeatedly switch on the seat
