regula testhe
brake pressure in critical driving situations:
R During braking, for instance, at maximum full-
stop braking or if there is insu1cient tyre trac-
tion, the wheels are pr evented from locking.
R Vehicle steerability while braking is ensu red.
If ABS inter venes when braking, you will feel a
pulsing in the brake pedal. The pulsating brake
pedal can be an indication of hazardous road con-
ditions and can ser veas a reminder totake extra
care while driving.

stored speed on uphill gradients. The stored
speed is resumed when thegr adient evens out.

steep downhill gradients. Take particular no teof
th is when driving a laden vehicle. By doing so, you
will make use of the engine's braking e.ect. This

Since Tra1c Sign Assist also uses the data stored
in the navigation system, it can update the display
in thefo llowing situations without de tecting tra1c
signs.

section of road in the wrong direction of tr avel, it
triggers a warning.
The camera also de tects tra1c signs with a
re striction indicated byan additional sign (e.g.
when wet). These are only displa yed if a restric-
tion applies or if the system cannot clear lyde ter-
