The system may be impaired or may not function
in thefo llowing situations:
R The camera in theove rhead control panel may
heat up due tooperating conditions. As a
re sult the camera may switch o. temp oraril y,
particular lyduring longer periods of operation
and at high outside temp eratures.
Do not touch or co verth e camera and wait
until the camera has cooled down and is avail-
able again. R
The camera is co vered, dirty, misted up or
scratched.
Wa it until the camera has cooled down before
cleaning the camera lens.
Clean the outside of the camera lens with a
dry or damp cotton clo th. Do not use micro/-
bre clo ths. Do no not tre mo vethe co ver when
cleaning.
R Recognition can be impaired byre0ective
clo thing, an adverse colour of clo thing or by
accessories, forex ample.
R Clothing being worn(hat, sha wl, scarf) may be
limiting the de tection area of the camera.
Ke ep the camera's /eld of vision clear.

The eme rgency call has been made:
R Avo ice connection is made tothe
Mercedes‑Benz eme rgency call centre.
R A message with accident data is transmitted
tothe Mercedes‑Benz emer gency call centre.
The Mercedes‑Benz eme rgency call centre
can transmit theve hicle position data toone
of the public emer gency services call centres.
R Under cer tain circumstances data is also
transmitted in thevo ice channel tothe
Mercedes‑Benz eme rgency call centre.

be initiated quickl y.
The SOS button in theove rhead control panel

In cer tain accident situations, the actuation of the
active bonnet reduces therisk of injury topedes-
trians. The rear area of the bonnet is raised by
appr oximately 70 mm.

The risk of aquaplaning is increased on wet
ro ads, especially when the speed of theve hi-

tread dep thand the condition of the
tread across the entire width of all tyres.
Minimum tread dep thfor:
R Summer ty res: 3 mm
R M+S tyres: 4 mm #
For saf etyre asons, replace the tyres
before the legall y-prescribed limit forthe
minimum tread dep thisreached. Car
ryout thefo llowing checks on all wheels regu-
lar ly, at least once a month or as required, for
ex ample, prior toa long jou rney or driving o.-
