result of its basic characteristics, the
storage capacity of and the amount of energy
av ailable from the high-voltage battery
decrease over the course of its life. Due to th
is, bo th the maximum electrical range that

mum elect rical output can be impaired.
The following factors could accelerate the age-
ing of the high-voltage batter y:
R a high le vel of charge , especially if the
ve hicle is idle for a lengt hyperiod of time
R frequent rapid charging with direct cur rent

Re fuel your vehicle with as much winter diesel fuel
as possible at the beginning of winter. Before
changing overto winter diesel fuel, the fuel
ta nk should be em pty, if possible. When /rst refu-
elling wi thwinter diesel fuel, keep the fuel le vel
lo w, e.g. toreser veleve l. The fuel tank can be /l-
led as usual when next refuelling.
