airbag as possible, taking thefo llowing points
into consideration:
R You are sitting in an upright position
R Your thighs are slightly suppor tedby the seat
cushion R
Your legs are not fully extended and you can
depress the pedals proper ly
R The back of your head is suppor ted at eye
le ve lby the centre of the head restraint
R You can hold the steering wheel with your
arms slightly bent
R You can mo veyour legs freely
R You can see all the displa yson the inst rument

R You ha vea good overview of the tra1c condi-
tions
R Your seat belt sits snugly against your body
and passes across the centre of your shoulder
and across your hips in the pelvic area

front passenger seat is unoccupied, this can lead
to noise caused bythe seat belt tongue knocking
against the seat. You can pr event this by sliding
th e seat belt tongue upwards with the belt clip. If
th e front passenger seat is occupied, ensure that
th e belt clip is pushed down. Only then will the
seat belt /t tight tothe body. 102

The exhaust tailpipe and tailpipe trims can
become very hot. If you come into contact
with these parts of theve hicle, you could burn

vise children especially closely in this
area. #
Allow vehicle parts tocool down before
to uching them. The driving
characteristics of your vehicle are
dependent on the distribution of the load within
th eve hicle. You should bear thefo llowing in mind
when loading theve hicle:
R neverex ceed the permissible gross mass or
th e permissible axle loads forth eve hicle
(including occupants).
