TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN N (NEUTRAL):
The ignition switch must be in the ON position and the brake must be depressed.
From P (Park) to N (Neutral) and D (Drive) to N (Neutral):
Without pressing the shift lever button, push the shift lever forward from the idle position
and hold for .5 seconds.
From R (Reverse) to N (Neutral):
Without pressing the shift lever button, pull the shift lever backward from the idle
position and hold for .5 seconds.
After operating the shift lever, the shift lever returns to the idle position by releasing your
hand from the shift lever.
While in the N (Neutral) position, the P (Park) position is automatically engaged if the
ignition is turned off
or the driver’s seat belt is unfastened, the driver’s side door is
opened and the vehicle is stationary or driving at a very low speed.
TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN R (REVERSE):
Press the button
, then push the electronic shift lever forward past the point of resistance and release the shift lever.
TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN D (DRIVE):
Press the button
and pull the electronic shift lever back past the point of resistance and release the shift lever.
TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN P (PARK):
Make sure the vehicle is completely stopped and press the P (Park) button
. If you switch the ignition off with the transmission
in D (Drive) or R (Reverse), the transmission automatically shifts into the P (Park) position. The P (Park) position is automatically
engaged if the ignition is turned off
or the driver’s seat belt is unfastened, the driver’s side door is opened and the vehicle is
stationary or driving at a very low speed.

Electronic Parking Brake
To apply the parking brake, pull the electric
parking brake switch
up, located below the
instrument panel, regardless of the ignition
switch position.
To release the parking brake, depress the brake
pedal and push the electric parking brake switch
down while the ignition is on. The parking
brake will be automatically released when you
depress the accelerator pedal as long as
certain conditions are met, such as having your
seatbelt fastened.

Two positions for the driver’s seat, steering column and outside mirrors can be stored in the
memory seat system. To set a memory position:
1. Place the ignition switch in the ON position. (The vehicle should be stopped while
setting the memory.)
2. Adjust the driver’s seat, steering column and outside mirrors to the desired positions
using the adjusting switches for each feature.
3. Push the SET switch
, and within 5 seconds,
push the memory switch (1 or 2)
. The
indicator light for the memory switch you select
will illuminate for approximately 5 seconds and
a chime will sound when the memory is stored.
The driver’s seat and steering column will
automatically move when the driver’s side door is
opened, to allow the driver to get in and out of the
driver’s seat more easily. “Lift Steering upon Exit” and “Slide Driver Seat Back on Exit” can
be adjusted in the lower touch-screen display under “Comfort & Convenience.”

HomeLink® Garage Door Opener (if so equipped)
To complete HomeLink® programing, you can download the HomeLink app or read the
instructions below.
Before you start programing HomeLink, park outside and within range of your garage.
Then, clear the area around your garage door, place the ignition switch in the ON or
ACC position (without starting the engine) and locate the remote control transmitter,
ensuring a fresh battery is installed. Please note, a ladder and another person may
be needed.
To program HomeLink:
1. Position the handheld transceiver within 3 in (8 cm) from the HomeLink surface.
2. Press and hold the desired HomeLink
and garage door opener button. Release both when the indicator
flashes rapidly.
Before proceeding to the next steps, be sure your garage door is not moving.
• Press the HomeLink button for 2 seconds up to 3 times. If the garage door responds, training is complete.
If the garage door doesn’t respond:
• Press the “learn” or “set” button on the garage opener until an indicator illuminates. Within 30 seconds, press the HomeLink button in
your vehicle for 2 seconds up to 3 times.

To turn the rain sensor function on and off:
1. Press the MENU button below the lower display.
2. Touch the “Settings” key and then the “Comfort &
Convenience” key
on the display.
3. Touch the “Rain Sensor” key
to toggle the
feature ON and OFF.
When the rain-sensing function is disabled, the AUTO
position on the wiper stalk will work in conventional
intermittent mode.
WIPER BLADE REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE
The windshield wipers must be in the service position in
order to replace the wiper blades.
To move the wiper blades to the service position:
• When the ignition switch is in the ON position or
within 60 seconds of placing the ignition switch
in the OFF position, lift the windshield wiper
and washer lever upwards twice in less than 0.5
seconds. The windshield wipers will move to the
service position automatically, and the wiper blades can now be replaced.
To move the wiper blades back to the original position:
• Place the wiper arm in the down position and lift the wiper and washer lever up
for more than 1 second, or lower the lever down to operate at any wiper speed.

Wiper and Washer Switch
Move the lever up or down to one of the following
positions to operate the windshield wipers:
MIST
One sweep operation
OFF Wipers are OFF
AUTO Speed-sensing and rain-sensing automatic wipe
(if so equipped)
LO Continuous wipe, slow
HI Continuous wipe, fast
To adjust the wiper sensitivity for the AUTO setting,
twist the control ring
. Pull the lever toward you to
operate the windshield washer.
REAR WIPER AND WASHER
Turn the rear wiper switch
to one of the following
positions to operate the rear wiper:
OFF Wiper is OFF
Intermittent wipe
Continuous wipe
Push the lever
forward to operate the rear
windshield washer.
