Master Warning Light
(if equipped)
This indicator light illuminates :
• When the remaining mileage or time
is 0 on the “Service Interval” in the
cluster.
If the service interval setting is reset,
the master warning light turns off.

KEY OUT Indicator Light
(if equipped)

When the Engine Start/Stop button is
in the ACC or ON position, if any door is
open, the system checks for the smart
key.
This indicator light blinks:
When the smart key is not in the vehicle
and any door is open with the ignition
switch or Engine Start/Stop button in the
ACC or ON position.
- At this time, if you close all doors,
the chime will also sound for
approximately 5 seconds.
- The indicator will go off while the
vehicle is moving.
Low Tire Pressure
Warning Light
(if equipped)
This warning light illuminates:
• When you set the ignition switch or
Engine Start/Stop button to the ON
position.
- It illuminates for approximately 3
seconds and then goes off.
• When one or more of your tires
are significantly underinflated (The
location of the underinflated tires are
displayed on the LCD display).
For more details, refer to “Tire Pressure
Monitoring System (TPMS)” section in
chapter 8.
This warning light remains on after
blinking for approximately 60 seconds
or repeatedly blinks on and off at
approximately 3 second intervals:
• When there is a malfunction with the
TPMS.
In this case, we recommend that you
have the vehicle inspected by an
authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as
possible.
For more details, refer to “Tire Pressure
Monitoring System (TPMS)” section in
chapter 8.
WARNING
Safe Stopping
• The TPMS cannot alert you to severe
and sudden tire damage caused by
external factors.
• If you notice any vehicle instability,
immediately take your foot off the
accelerator pedal, apply the brakes
gradually with light force, and slowly
move to a safe position off the road.

Key not in vehicle
(for smart key system)
This warning message is displayed if the
smart key is not in the vehicle when you
open or close door in the ACC position
or ON position. The warning sound is
heard when you close door without a
smart key in vehicle.
When attempting to start the vehicle
always have the smart key with you.
Key not detected
(for smart key system)
This warning message is displayed if
the smart key is not detected when you
press the Engine Start/Stop button.
Press START button with key (for
smart key system)
This warning message is displayed if
you press the Engine Start/Stop button
while the warning message “Key not
detected” is displayed.
At this time, the immobilizer indicator
light blinks.
Low key battery
(for smart key system)
This warning message is displayed if the
battery of the smart key is discharged
while changing the Engine Start/Stop
button to the OFF position.
Press brake pedal to start engine
(for smart key system and
Automatic transmission/Dual clutch
transmission)
This warning message is displayed if the
Engine Start/Stop button changes to
the ACC position twice by pressing the
button repeatedly without depressing
the brake pedal.
You can start the vehicle by depressing
the brake pedal.
Press clutch pedal to start engine
(for smart key system and Manual
transmission)
This warning message is displayed if the
Engine Start/Stop button is in the ACC
position twice by pressing the button
repeatedly without depressing the clutch
pedal.
Depress the clutch pedal to start the
engine.
Press START button again
(for smart key system)
This message is displayed if you were
unable to start the vehicle when the
Engine Start/Stop button was pressed.
If this occurs, attempt to start the engine
by pressing the Engine Start/Stop button
again.
If the warning message appears each
time you press the Engine Start/Stop
button, we recommend that you have
your vehicle inspected by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.

Shift to N to start engine
(for smart key system and
Automatic transmission/Dual clutch
transmission) / iMT (intelligent
manual transmission))
This warning message is displayed if
you try to start the engine with the shift
button not in the N (Neutral) position.

You can start the engine with the shift
lever in the N (Neutral) position.
Check BRAKE SWITCH fuse (for
smart key system and Automatic
transmission/Dual clutch
transmission)
This warning message is displayed if the
brake switch fuse is disconnected.
You need to replace the fuse with a new
one. If that is not possible, you can start
the engine by pressing the Engine Start/
Stop button for 10 seconds in the ACC
position.
Lights mode

This indicator displays which exterior
light is selected using the lighting
control.

Low engine oil (if equipped)
This warning message is displayed when
the engine oil level should be checked.
If this warning message is displayed,
check the engine oil level as soon as
possible and add engine oil as required.
Slowly pour the recommended oil little
by little into a funnel.
Use only the specified engine oil. (Refer
to "Recommended lubricants and
capacities" section in chapter 2.)
Do not overfill the engine oil. Make sure
the oil level is not above F (Full) mark on
the dipstick.
NOTICE
If the message is displayed
continuously after adding the engine
oil and travelling approximately
50~100 km after the engine warms up,
we recommend that the system be
checked by an authorized HYUNDAI
dealer.
Engine has overheated
(if equipped)
This warning message is displayed
when the engine coolant temperature
is above 120°C (248°F). This means that
the engine is overheated and may be
damaged.
If your vehicle is overheated, refer to
“Overheating” section in chapter 8.
Check headlight (if equipped)
This warning message is displayed if the
headlamps are not operating properly.
In addition, if a specific lamp(turn signal
lamp etc.) is not operating properly, the
warning message according to a specific
lamp (turn signal lamp etc.) is displayed.
A corresponding bulb may need to be
replaced.
Make sure to replace the burned out
bulb with a new one of the same
wattage rating.
Check brake light (if equipped)
This warning message is displayed if the
stop lamps are not operating properly. A
lamp may need to be replaced.
Make sure to replace the burned out
bulb with a new one of the same
wattage rating.

The Master Warning Light illuminates
if one or more of the above warning
situations occur.
At this time, a Master Warning icon (

If the warning situation is solved, the
master warning light will be turned
off and the Master Warning icon will

In this mode, you can change the

Settings after engaging the parking

WARNING
In order to prevent theft of your
vehicle, do not leave spare keys
anywhere in your vehicle. Your
immobilizer password is a customer
unique password and should be kept
confidential.
NOTICE
The transponder in your key is an
important part of the immobilizer
system. It is designed to give years
of trouble-free service, however you
should avoid exposure to moisture,
static electricity and rough handling.
Immobilizer system malfunction could
occur.
MT (Manual Transmission)
Remote start function
(if equipped)
Remote Engine Start allows you to start
your vehicle engine remotely from your
convenient place by Mobile (Blue Link
Application).
The following conditions must be met
for a vehicle to start remotely:
• All the vehicle doors including tailgate
and hood must be closed and Locked.

• Verify that the parking brake lever
should be pulled above 5 notches,
Notch can be detected as the click
sound when parking brake lever
operating.

• Gear shift lever must be in ‘N’ position.

Convenient features
• Vehicle should be parked on a flat
surface.
• Smart Key (FOB) should not be placed
inside the vehicle.
Remote Engine Start will not
operate:
1. If gear position is other than ‘N’
2. If the parking brake position is less
than 5th notch condition
3. If vehicle is parked on a hill or an
inclination road(not on flat area)
4. If vehicle battery is low.
CAUTION
For remote start operation in Manual
Transmission, vehicle must be parked
on a flat surface.
Door lock/unlock sound
When a user steps out of the car, all
doors are closed and then the user tries
to lock or unlock the car with the remote
key or smart key, sound occurs along
with flashing.
• Door Lock beep sound : 1time
• Door Unlock beep sound : 2times
Lock/Unlock Sound Function
Disable / Enable:
The user can disable or enable the lock/
unlock sound using the remote key or
smart key.
• Default condition : Sound is Enabled
(ON)
- Sound Disable : User must press
both lock and unlock buttons in the
remote key or smart key together for
at least 4seconds to deactivate the
sound (from “ON  OFF”).
- Sound Enable : User must press
both lock and unlock buttons in the
remote key or smart key together for
at least 4seconds to activate Sound
(from “ OFF  ON”).
• For a successful Activation/
De-activation of Sound, Hazard
warning lights will blink 4 times.

Convenient features
With the central door lock/unlock
switch

When pressing the () portion (1) of the
switch, all vehicle doors will lock.
• If the key is in the ignition switch and
any door is opened, the doors will not
lock even though the lock button (1) of
the central door lock switch is pressed.
• If the smart key is in the vehicle and
any door is opened, the doors will not
lock even though the lock button (1) of
the central door lock switch is pressed.
When pressing the (
) portion (2) of the
switch, all vehicle doors will unlock.
WARNING
• The doors should always be fully
closed and locked while the vehicle is
in motion. If the doors are unlocked,
the risk of being thrown from the
vehicle in a crash is increased.
• Do not pull the inner door handle of
the driver’s or passenger’s door while
the vehicle is moving.
WARNING
Do not leave children or animals
unattended in your vehicle. An
enclosed vehicle can become
extremely hot, causing death or serious
injury to unattended children or
animals who cannot escape the vehicle.
Children might operate features of the
vehicle that could injure them, or they
could encounter other harm, possibly
from someone gaining entry to the
vehicle.
WARNING
Always secure your vehicle
Leaving your vehicle unlocked
increases the potential risk to you or
others from someone hiding in your
vehicle.
To secure your vehicle, while
depressing the brake, move the shift
lever to the P (Park) position (for
Intelligent Manual Transmission) or
first gear or R (Reverse, for manual
transmission), engage the parking
brake, and place the ignition switch
in the LOCK/OFF position, close all
windows, lock all doors, and always
take the key with you.
