●Appears if there is a problem with the automatic
lighting control system.●Appears while driving - Manually turn the lights
on, and have your vehicl e checked by a dealer.
●Appears if there is a problem with the headlights.●Appears while driving - The headlights may not be
on.
When conditions allow you to drive safely, have your
vehicle checked by a dealer as soon as possible.
●Appears when you unlock and open the driver’s door
while the power system is on by remote engine start.

consistent with drowsy or inattentive driving.

●Appears if the temperature inside the front sensor
camera is too high and some driver assist systems
cannot be activated.●Use the climate control system to cool down the
camera.
●Disappears - The camera has been cooled down
and the systems are activated normally.

●Appears if the area around the front sensor camera is
blocked by dirt, mud, etc. and be prevented from
detecting a vehicle in front.
●May appear when driving in bad weather (rain, snow,
fog, etc.)
●When the front window gets dirty, stop your vehicle
in a safe place, and wipe it off with a soft cloth.
●Have your vehicle checked by a dealer if the message
does not disappear even a fter you cleaned the area
around the camera.

Light Switches
Rotating the light switch turns the lights on
and off, regardless of the power mode
setting.
■High beams
Push the lever forward until you hear a click.
■Low beams
When in high beams, pull the lever back to
return to low beams.
■Flashing the high beams
Pull the lever back, and release it.

If you leave the power mode in VEHICLE OFF (LOCK)
while the lights are on, a chime sounds when the
driver’s door is opened.
When the lights are on, the lights on indicator in the
instrument pane l will be on.

Do not leave the lights on when the power system is
off because it will caus e the 12-volt battery to
discharge.
If you sense that the le vel of the headlights is
abnormal, have the vehicl e inspected by a dealer.

Controls
Automatic lighting control can be used when
the power mode is in ON.
When you turn the light switch to AUTO, the
headlights and other exterior lights will switch
on and off automatically depending on the
ambient brightness.
The headlights come on when you unlock a
door in dark areas with the headlight switch in
AUTO .
u Once you lock the door, the headlights
will go off.

We recommend that you tu rn on the lights manually
when driving at night, in a de nse fog, or in dark areas
such as long tunnels or parking facilities.
The light sensor is in the location shown below.
Do not cover this light sensor with anything;
otherwise, the automatic lighting system may not
work properly.
