1. Press the button on the side of theRKE transmitter near the bottom
and pull the key out. Never pull the
key out without pressing the
button.
2. Separate the two halves of thetransmitter using a flat tool
inserted into the bottom center of
the transmitter. Do not use the
key slot.
3. Remove the old battery. Do not usea metal object.
4. Insert the new battery on the back housing, positive side facing down.
Replace with a CR2032 or
equivalent battery.
5. Align the front and back housing then snap the transmitter together.
6. Reinsert the key.
Remote Vehicle Start
This feature allows the engine to be
started from outside of the vehicle.
/: This button is on the RKE
transmitter for remote start. The climate control system will use
the previous settings during a remote
start. The rear window defogger may
come on during remote start based on
cold ambient conditions. The rear
window defogger indicator light does
not come on during remote start.
If the vehicle has auto heated or
ventilated seats they may come on
during a remote start. See
Heated and
Ventilated Front Seats 045.
Laws in some local communities may
restrict the use of remote starters. For
example, some laws may require a
person using remote start to have the
vehicle in view. Check local
regulations for any requirements.
Do not use the remote start feature if
the vehicle is low on fuel. The vehicle
could run out of fuel.

Start

Memory Mirrors
The vehicle may have memory
mirrors. SeeMemory Seats 043.
Lane Change Alert (LCA)
The vehicle may have LCA. See Lane
Change Alert (LCA) 0281.
Folding Mirrors
Manual Folding Mirrors
If equipped, manually fold the mirrors
inward toward the vehicle to prevent
damage when going through an
automatic car wash. Push the mirror
outward to return it to the original
position.
Power Folding Mirrors
If equipped, press{to power fold the
mirrors. Press
{again to unfold.
Resetting the Power Folding
Mirrors
Reset the power folding mirrors if:
.The mirrors are accidentally
obstructed while folding.
.They are accidentally manually
folded/unfolded.
.The mirrors do not stay in the
unfolded position.
.The mirrors vibrate at normal
driving speeds. Fold and unfold the mirrors one time
using the mirror controls to reset
them to their normal position. A noise
may be heard during the resetting of
the power folding mirrors. This sound
is normal after a manual folding
operation.
Remote Mirror Folding
If equipped, press and holdQon the
RKE transmitter for approximately
one second to remotely fold the
exterior mirrors. Press and hold
Kon
the RKE transmitter for approximately
one second to unfold. See Remote

The shift lever must be in P (Park) to
start Seat Entry Memory. Seat Entry
Memory recall will complete if the
vehicle is shifted out of P (Park) prior
to reaching the saved memory
position.
To stop Seat Entry Memory recall
movement, turn the vehicle off or
press any of the following controls:
.Power seat
.Memory SET, 1, 2, orB
.Power mirror, with the driver or
passenger side mirror selected
.Power steering wheel, if equipped
If the saved memory seat position
does not automatically recall or recalls
to the wrong positions, the driver’s
RKE transmitter number (1 or 2) may
not match the memory button
number that positions were saved to.
Try storing the position to the other
memory button or try the other RKE
transmitter. Seat Exit Memory
Seat Exit Memory is not linked to an
RKE transmitter. The position saved to
Bis used for all drivers. To turn Seat
Exit Memory on or off, see "Vehicle
Personalization Settings" previously in
this section and Vehicle Personalization
0 130.
If turned on, the position saved to
B
is automatically recalled when one of
the following occurs:
.The vehicle is turned off and the
driver door is opened within a
short time.
.The vehicle is turned off with the
driver door open.
To stop Seat Exit Memory movement,
press any of the following memory
controls:
.Power seat
.Memory SET, 1, 2, orB
.Power mirror, with the driver or
passenger side mirror selected
.Power steering wheel, if equipped Obstructions
If something has blocked the driver
seat and/or power steering wheel
while recalling a memory position, the
recall may stop. Remove the
obstruction and try the recall again.
If the memory position still does not
recall, see your dealer.
Heated and Ventilated
Front Seats
{Warning
If temperature change or pain to
the skin cannot be felt, the seat
heater may cause burns. To reduce
the risk of burns, use care when
using the seat heater, especially for
long periods of time. Do not place
anything on the seat that insulates
against heat, such as a blanket,
cushion, cover, or similar item. This
may cause the seat heater to
overheat. An overheated seat heater
may cause a burn or may damage
the seat.

Heated and Ventilated Seat ButtonsShown, Heated Seat Buttons Similar
If equipped, the buttons are near the
climate controls on the center stack.
To operate, the engine must be
running.
Press
MorLto heat the driver or
passenger seatback and cushion.
Press
Cor{, if equipped, to ventilate
the driver or passenger seat.
A ventilated seat has a fan that pulls
or pushes air through the seat. The air
is not cooled. When this feature is off, the heated
and ventilated seat symbols on the
buttons are white. When a heated seat
is turned on, the symbol turns red.
When a ventilated seat is turned on,
the symbol turns blue.
Press the button once for the highest
setting. With each press of the button,
the seat will change to the next lower
setting, and then to the off setting.
The indicator lights next to the
buttons indicate three for the highest
setting and one for the lowest. If the
heated seats are on high, the level
may automatically be lowered after
approximately 30 minutes.
The passenger seat may take longer to
heat up.
Auto Heated and Ventilated Seats
When the vehicle is on, this feature
will automatically activate the heated
or ventilated seats at the level
required by the vehicle’s interior
temperature.
The active high, medium, low, or off
heated or ventilated seat level will be
indicated by the manual heated or
ventilated seat buttons on the centerstack. Use the manual heated or
ventilated seat buttons on the center
stack to turn auto heated or ventilated
seats off. If the passenger seat is
unoccupied, the auto heated or
ventilated seats feature will not
activate that seat. The auto heated or
ventilated seats feature can be
programmed to always be enabled
when the vehicle is on.

Remote Start Heated and Ventilated
Seats
During a remote start, the heated or
ventilated seats, if equipped, can be
turned on automatically. When it is
cold outside, the heated seats turn on,
and when it is hot outside the
ventilated seats turn on. If the auto
heated or ventilated seats feature,
if equipped, is not turned on, the
heated or ventilated seats will be
canceled when the ignition is turned
on. Press the heated or ventilated seat
button to use the heated or ventilated
seats after the vehicle is started.
The heated or ventilated seat
indicator lights do not turn on during
a remote start.

The temperature performance of an
unoccupied seat may be reduced. This
is normal.
The remote start heated or ventilated
seats may be enabled or disabled in
vehicle personalization. SeeRemote
Vehicle Start 014 and
Vehicle Personalization 0130.
Rear Seats
Rear Seat Reminder
If equipped, the message REAR SEAT
REMINDER LOOK IN REAR SEAT
displays under certain conditions
indicating there may be an item or
passenger in the rear seat. Check
before exiting the vehicle.
This feature will activate when a
second row door is opened while the
vehicle is on or up to 10 minutes
before the vehicle is turned on. There
will be an alert when the vehicle is
turned off. The alert does not directly
detect objects in the rear seat; instead,
under certain conditions, it detects
when a rear door is opened and
closed, indicating that there may be
something in the rear seat. The feature is active only once each
time the vehicle is turned on and off,
and will require reactivation by
opening and closing the second row
doors. There may be an alert even
when there is nothing in the rear seat;
for example, if a child entered the
vehicle through the rear door and left
the vehicle without the vehicle being
shut off.
The feature can be turned on or off.

or in the seat tracks on the floor.
2. Lift the lever below the seat cushion and slide the seat forward
or backward.

Heated Rear Seats

If available, the buttons are on the
rear of the center console.
With the engine running, press
Mor
Lto heat the left or right outboard
seat cushion. An indicator on the
climate control display appears when
this feature is on. This feature turns on at the highest
setting. With each press of the button,
the heated seat changes to the next
lower setting, and then the off setting.
Three lights indicate the highest
setting, and one light indicates the
lowest. If the heated seats are on high,
the level may automatically be
lowered after approximately
30 minutes.
Third Row Seats
{Warning
Using the third row seating position
while the second row is folded,
or pushed forward in the entry
position, could cause injury in a
sudden stop or crash. Be sure to
return the seat to the passenger
seating position. Push and pull on
the seat to make sure it is locked
into place.
Caution
Folding a rear seat with the seat
belts still fastened may cause
damage to the seat or the seat
belts. Always unbuckle the seat
belts and return them to their
normal stowed position before
folding a rear seat.
Folding the Seatback
1. Remove objects on the floor in
front of or on the second row seat,
or in the seat tracks on the floor.
2. If the second row seat is in the full rear position, adjust it forward to
allow the third row seat to fold
fully flat.
