To access the anchors
1. Put the child restraint in position.
2. Kneel on the child restraint to press downthe seat cushion and locate the anchors by feel.
3. Fasten the attachment on the child restraint's lower straps to the ISOFIX/LATCH lower anchors.
4. Firmly tension the lower child seat straps according to the manufacturer's instruc-tions.
WARNING
Volvo's ISOFIX/LATCH anchors conform to FMVSS/CMVSS standards. Always referto the child restraint system's manual forweight and size ratings.
NOTE
The rear center seat is not equipped with ISOFIX/LATCH lower tetheranchors. If a child restraint is used inthis seat, attach the restraint's upperanchor strap (if equipped with these)to the top tether anchor point for thisstrap and secure the child restraintwith the vehicle's center seat belt.
Always follow your child seat manufac-turer's installation instructions, and useboth ISOFIX/LATCH lower anchorsand top tethers whenever possible.
Fasten the attachment correctly to the ISOFIX/ LATCH lower anchors.
WARNING
Be sure to fasten the attachment cor- rectly to the anchor (see the illustra-tion). If the attachment is not correctlyfastened, the child restraint may not beproperly secured in the event of a colli-sion.
The ISOFIX/LATCH lower childrestraint anchors are only intended foruse with child seats positioned in theoutboard seating positions. Theseanchors are not certified for use withany child restraint that is positioned inthe center seating position. Whensecuring a child restraint in the centerseating position, use only the vehicle'scenter seat belt.

The integrated booster cushion in the second row 5
center seating position helps ensure
that a child can sit comfortably and safely.
The integrated booster cushion has been spe- cially designed to help safeguard children inthe rear seat when used with the vehicle'sseat belts. If using a booster cushion does not result in proper positioning of the shoulder strap, thenthe child should be placed in a properlysecured child restraint. The shoulder belt mustnever be placed behind the child's back orunder the arm. Only used for children in the weight range 15-36 kg (33-80 lbs) and height range97-137 cm (38-54 inches). In Canada : 18 kg (40 lbs) is the minimum
weight requirement for a child using booster cushions according to the Canadian regulationCMVSS 213.4
Correct seating position: the seat belt is positioned across the collarbone.
Before driving, make sure that:
the booster cushion is locked into position
the head restraint is set to the same height as the child's head, so that, if possi-ble, the entire back of the child's head iscovered
the seat belt is taut, in contact with thechild's body and not twisted
the seat belt is not positioned across thechild's throat or below the shoulder
the lap section of the seat belt is placed low over the child's hips to provide the best protection.

Pull the handle forward to release the booster cushion.

Front door closed
–Press and hold one of the memory buttons ( 1 -3 ) until the seat, door mirrors and head-
up display stop in the positions stored inthat memory button.
If the memory button is released, the seat,door mirrors and head-up display will stopmoving.
WARNING
This list point needs to be translated exactly to: "Because the driver's seatcan be adjusted with the ignition off,children should never be left unatten-ded in the vehicle.
Movement of the seat can be STOP-PED at any time by pressing any but-ton on the power seat control panel.
Do not adjust the seat while driving.
The seat should be adjusted so that thebrake pedal can be depressed fully. Inaddition, position the seat as far rear-ward as comfort and control allow.
The seat rails on the floor must not beobstructed in any way when the seat isin motion.

The settings for the multifunctional seats can be adjusted using either the mutifunctioncontrol on the side of the seat or the centerdisplay. The adjustment settings are shown inthe center display.

Folding the second row backrests
The second row of seats has three individual seating positions 5
. The backrests can be
folded down separately.
WARNING
Adjust the seat and ensure it locks into position before driving. Use cautionwhen adjusting the seat. Uncontrolledor careless adjustments could lead toinjury.
Long objects must always be securelytied down to help prevent injury ordamage in the event of sudden brak-ing.
Always turn off the engine and applythe parking brake when loading orunloading the vehicle.
Put the gear selector in
P to help pre-
vent the gear selector from being inad-vertently moved.
CAUTION
When the backrest is folded down, make sure there are no objects in the rear seat,and the seat belts are not buckled. Other-wise there is a risk of damage to theupholstery.
CAUTION
The seat cushion of the integrated child restraint * must be in the stowed position
before the center seat backrest can be folded down. The armrest * in the center seat must be
raised before the seat backrest is folded down.
NOTE
The front seats may need to be pushed for- ward and/or the backrest adjusted so thatthe rear seat backrests can be fully low-ered. The rear seats may also need to be moved rearward. The seats in the second row must be in the upright position before they can be foldeddown completely. They should not befolded down when they are tilted forwardto access the third row of seats.

CAUTION
Never use towbar adapters or towbar extenders
Only use ball mount for towing. Do notmount accessories directly on the ballmount. Use accessories designed tobe mounted in the towbar's squarebracket. Do not use accessoriesdesigned to be secured around the ballmount.
Loading the bicycle holderThe greater the distance between the load and the bicycle holder, the greater the load on thehitch and on the vehicle. Keep the following points in mind: Mount the heaviest bicycle closest to the vehicle.
If possible, mount the bicycles symmetri-cally, as close as possible to the center ofthe vehicle.
Remove loose objects from the bicycle,such as baskets, batteries or child seats.This will help reduce the load on the hitchand the bicycle holder.
Do not place a cover over the bicycle asthis could lead to increased load on thehitch.
