Power* front seats
The front seats can be adjusted in a number of different ways to help enhance your seat-ing comfort. The power seat can be movedforward/backward and up/down. The height and length * of the seat cushion and the tilt of
the backrest can be adjusted. Lumbar sup-port * can be adjusted up, down, forward and
backward 3
.
The seats can be adjusted when the engine is running and for a certain period of time afterthe door has been unlocked without theengine running. They can also be adjusted fora short period after the engine is turned off.
CAUTION
The power seats have an overload protec- tor that is triggered if a seat is blocked byany object. If this occurs, remove theobject and attempt to adjust the seatagain.

Adjusting the power * front seats
Set the desired seating position using the controls on the front seat cushion. To set theconvenience functions, turn the multifunction control 4
upward/downward.
The illustration shows the controls in a vehicle with four-way lumbar support *. Vehicles with two-way
lumbar support * do not have the rotary multifunction
control.
In vehicles with four-way lumbar support *,
turn the multifunction control 4
up/down to
set the convenience functions. In vehicles with two-way lumbar support *, use the
round button to adjust the lumbar support forward/rearward.
Raise/lower the front edge of the seat cushion by moving the control up/down.

Restarting the massage function
The massage function turns off automatically after 20 minutes. The function is reactivatedmanually.
–Tap Restart, which is displayed in the
center display, to restart the selected mas- sage program.
> The massage program will restart. If no selection is made, the message will be stored in Top view.

The settings for the multifunctional seats can be adjusted using either the mutifunctioncontrol on the seat or the center display. Theadjustment settings are shown in the centerdisplay.
Adjusting front seat massage settingsThe front seat backrests have a massage func- tion. Air-filled cushions provide the massagingaction and a number of settings are available. The massage function can only be activated when the engine is running.
1. Activate the multifunction control by turn-
ing the control
upward/downward. The

3. Select massage settings by tapping the center display or by moving the cursor up/ down using the multifunction control's upper

The seats can be heated for added comfort for the driver and passengers in cold weather.
Seat heating can be set to automatically acti- vate when the engine is started. When set toautomatically activate, heating will be turnedon at low ambient temperatures. 1. Tap

The heated rear window and door mirrors are used to quickly remove condensation and icefrom the glass.
It is possible to select whether rear window and door mirror heating should be automati-cally activated or deactivated when the engineis started. With automatic start activated,heating will be activated when there is a riskof ice or condensation on the windows or mir-rors. Heating is automatically switched offwhen the window or door mirror is sufficientlywarm and the condensation or ice is gone. 1. Tap

Preconditioning *
Preconditioning is a climate function that, if possible, attempts to achieve a comfortabletemperature in the passenger compartmentbefore driving.
Preconditioning can be started immediately or started at a preset time using a timer. In warm weather, the ventilation system cools the passenger compartment by blowing air infrom outside. The function cannot heat thepassenger compartment.
NOTE
During preconditioning of the passenger compartment, the vehicle works to reach acomfortable temperature and not the tem-perature set in the climate system.

Preconditioning ventilates the passenger compartment, if possible, before driving. Thefunction can be started in the center displayor from a cellular phone.

used to start preconditioning or check set- tings. Preconditioning ventilates the passen- ger compartment by blowing in air from out-side. The passenger compartment can also be pre- conditioned using the Engine Remote Start (ERS)
