the following systems are not functioning
properly:
• Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)
• Blind Spot Warning (BSW)If one or more of these warnings appear,
have the system checked. It is recom-
mended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for
this service.
Unavailable: Side Radar Obstruction
This message appears when the Blind
Spot Warning (BSW)/Rear Cross Traffic Alert
(RCTA) systems become unavailable be-
cause a radar blockage is detected. For
additional information, refer to “Blind Spot
Warning (BSW)” or “Rear Cross Traffic Alert
(RCTA)” in the “Starting and driving” section
of this manual.
Malfunction
This warning appears when the Automatic
Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detec-
tion system or Intelligent Forward Collision
Warning (I-FCW) system is not functioning
properly.
If one or more of these warnings appears,
have the system checked. It is recom-
mended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for
this service.
For additional information, refer to “Auto-
matic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian
Detection” or “Intelligent Forward Collision
Warning (I-FCW)” in the “Starting and driv-
ing” section of this manual.
Shipping Mode On Push Storage Fuse
This warning may appear if the extended
storage switch is not pushed in. When this
warning appears, push in the extended
storage switch to turn off the warning. For
additional information, refer to “Extended
storage switch” in this section.

problem with the CVT system. If this warn-
ing comes on, have the system checked. It
is recommended that you visit a NISSAN
dealer for this service.
CVT (AT) hot Power reduced (if so
equipped)
This transmission has a high fluid tem-
perature protection mode. If the fluid tem-
perature becomes too high (for example,
2-48Instruments and controls

climbing steep grades in high tempera-
tures with heavy loads, such as when tow-
ing a trailer), engine power and, under
some conditions, vehicle speed will be de-
creased automatically to reduce the
chance of transmission damage. Vehicle
speed can be controlled with the accelera-
tor pedal, but the engine and vehicle speed
may be reduced.
WARNING
When the high fluid temperature pro-
tection mode operation occurs, vehicle
speed may be gradually reduced. The
reduced speed may be lower than
other traffic, which could increase the
chance of a collision. Be especially
careful when driving. If necessary, pull
to the side of the road at a safe place
and allow the transmission to return to
normal operation; or have it repaired if
necessary.
Chassis Control System Error: See
Owner’s Manual (if so equipped)
This warning appears if there is an error in
the Chassis Control system. Have the sys-
tem checked. It is recommended that you
visit a NISSAN dealer for this service. For
additional information, refer to “Chassis Control system” in the “Starting and driving”
section of this manual.
Not Available System Malfunction
This warning appears when one or more of
the following systems (if so equipped) is
not functioning properly.
• Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC)
• Blind Spot Warning (BSW)
• Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
If one or more of these warnings appear,
have the system checked. It is recom-
mended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for
this service.
For additional information, refer to "Intelli-
gent Cruise Control (ICC)” , “Blind Spot Warn-
ing (BSW)” or “Lane Departure Warning
(LDW)” in the “Starting and driving” section
of this manual.

destrian Detection
• Intelligent Forward Collision Warning (I- FCW) If one or more of these warnings appear,
have the system checked. It is recom-
mended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for
this service. For additional information, re-
fer to “Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC)”, “Auto-
matic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian
Detection” or “Intelligent Forward Collision
Warning (I-FCW)” in the “Starting and driv-
ing” section of this manual.

This message may appear when the Intel-
ligent Cruise Control (ICC) system is en-
gaged.

PROGRAMMING HOMELINK®
If you have any questions or are having
difficulty programming your HomeLink®
buttons, refer to the HomeLink® web site at:
www.homelink.com or call 1-800-355-3515.
NOTE:
Place the ignition switch in the ON posi-
tion (without starting the engine) when
programming HomeLink®. It is also rec-
ommended that a new battery be placed
in the hand-held transmitter of the de-
vice being programmed to HomeLink®
for quicker programming and accurate
transmission of the radio frequency. 1. Position the end of your hand-held
transmitter 1–3 in (2–8 cm) away from
the HomeLink® surface, keeping the
HomeLink® indicator light
O1in view. 2. Using both hands, simultaneously press
and hold the desired HomeLink® button
and hand-held transmitter button. DO
NOT release until the HomeLink® indica-
tor light
O1flashes slowly and then rap-
idly. When the indicator light flashes rap-
idly, both buttons may be released. (The
rapid flashing indicates successful
programming.)

NOTE:
Some devices may require you to replace
Step 2 with the cycling procedure noted
in “Programming HomeLink® for Cana-
dian customers and gate openers” in this
section.
3. Press and hold the programmedHomeLink® button and observe the indi-
cator light.
• If the indicator light
O1is solid/
continuous, programming is com-
plete and your device should activate
when the HomeLink® button is
pressed and released.
• If the indicator light
O1blinks rapidly
for 2 seconds and then turns to a
solid/continuous light, continue
with Steps 4-6 for a rolling code de-
vice. A second person may make the
following steps easier. Use a ladder or
other device. Do not stand on your ve-
hicle to perform the next steps. 4. At the receiver located on the garage
door opener motor in the garage, locate
the “learn” or “smart” button (the name
and color of the button may vary by
manufacturer but it is usually located
near where the hanging antenna wire is
attached to the unit). If there is difficulty
locating the button, reference the ga-
rage door opener’s manual.
5. Press and release the “learn” or “smart” button.
NOTE:
Once the button is pressed, you have ap-
proximately 30 seconds to initiate the
next step.
6. Return to the vehicle and firmly press and hold the trained HomeLink® button
for 2 seconds and release. Repeat the
“press/hold/release” sequence up to
three times to complete the training
process. HomeLink® should now acti-
vate your rolling code equipped device.
7. If you have any questions or are having difficulty programming your HomeLink®
buttons, refer to the HomeLink® web site
at: www.homelink.com or call
1-800-355-3515.
PROGRAMMING HOMELINK® FOR
CANADIAN CUSTOMERS AND GATE
OPENERS
Canadian radio-frequency laws require
transmitter signals to “time-out” (or quit)
af ter several seconds of transmission –
which may not be long enough for
HomeLink® to pick up the signal during
training. Similar to this Canadian law, some
U.S. gate operators are designed to “tim-
eout” in the same manner.
If you live in Canada or you are having diffi-
culties training a gate operator orgarage
door opener by using the “Training” proce-
dures, replace “Programming HomeLink®”
step 2 with the following:
NOTE:
When programming a garage door
opener, etc., unplug the device during
the “cycling” process to prevent possible
damage to the garage door opener
components.
1. For additional information, refer to “Pro-
gramming HomeLink®” step 1 in this
section.
