Ambient image sensor maintenance
The ambient image sensor
1for the High
Beam Assist system is located in front of
the inside mirror. To maintain the proper
operation of the high beam assist system
and prevent a system malfunction, be sure
to observe the following:
∙ Always keep the windshield clean.
∙ Do not attach a sticker (including trans- parent material) or install an accessory
near the ambient image sensor. ∙ Do not strike or damage the areas
around the ambient image sensor. Do
not touch the sensor lens that is lo-
cated on the ambient image sensor.
If the ambient image sensor is damaged
due to an accident, it is recommended that
you visit a NISSAN dealer.
Battery saver system
The battery saver system automatically
turns off the ignition af ter a period of time
when the ignition switch is lef t in the ON
position.
The battery saver system automatically
turns off the following lights af ter a period
of time when the ignition switch is placed in
the OFF position and the doors are closed:
∙ Headlights, when the headlight switch is in the
orposition
∙ Interior lights, when lef t in the ON posi- tion
CAUTION
Even though the battery saver feature
automatically turns off the headlights
af ter a period of time, you should turn
the headlight switch to the OFF position
when the engine is not running to avoid
discharging the vehicle battery.
LED DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS
(DRL) SYSTEM
The LED portion of the headlights auto-
matically illuminate at 100% intensity when
the engine is started and the parking brake
released. The LED Daytime Running Lights
(DRL) system operates with the headlight
switch in the OFF position. When you turn
the headlight switch to the
position
for full illumination, the LED lights switch
from LED DRL system to the park function.
If the parking brake is applied before the
engine is started, the LED DRL system does
not illuminate. The LED DRL system illumi-
nates when the parking brake is released.
The LED DRL system will remain on until the
ignition switch is placed in the OFF position.
It is necessary at dusk to turn the headlight
switch on for interior controls and switches
to illuminate, as those remain off while the
switch is in the OFF position.

WARNING
When the LED DRL system is active, tail
lights on your vehicle are not on. It is
necessary at dusk to turn on your head-
lights. Failure to do so could cause an
accident injuring yourself and others.
INSTRUMENT BRIGHTNESS
CONTROL

brightness of instrument panel lights.
Press the “+” button
Bto increase the
brightness of instrument panel lights.
TURN SIGNAL SWITCH
Turn signal
1Move the lever up or down to signal the
turning direction. When the turn is
completed, the turn signal cancels au-
tomatically.
Lane change signal
2Move the lever up or down until the
turn signal begins to flash, but the lever
does not latch, to signal a lane change.
Hold the lever until the lane change is
completed.

Move the lever up or down until the
turn signal begins to flash, but the lever
does not latch, and release the lever.
The turn signal will automatically flash
three times.
Choose the appropriate method to signal
a lane change based on road and traffic
conditions.
NOTE:
The 3 flash pass feature may be disabled.

FOG LIGHT SWITCH (if so
equipped)
To turn the fog lights on, turn the headlight
switch to the
position, then turn the
fog light switch to the
position.
To turn the fog lights on with the headlight
switch in the AUTO position, the headlights
must be on, then turn the fog light switch to
the
position.
To turn the fog lights off, turn the fog light
switch to the OFF position. The headlights must be on and the low
beams selected for the fog lights to oper-
ate. The fog lights automatically turn off
when the high beam headlights are se-
lected.

NOTE:∙ When the ignition is in the OFF position, the front and center console power
outlets stop delivering power one min-
ute af ter the door is opened and stays
open.
∙ If the door remains closed af ter the ig- nition is placed in the OFF position, the
front and center console power outlets
continue to deliver power until the ac-
cessory power timer has elapsed.
∙ The cargo area power outlet(s) contin- ues to deliver power normally.
CAUTION
∙ The outlet and plug may be hot duringor immediately af ter use.
∙ Only certain power outlets are de- signed for use with a cigarette lighter
unit. Do not use any other power out-
let for an accessory lighter. It is rec-
ommended that you visit a NISSAN
dealer for additional information.
∙ Do not use with accessories that ex- ceed a 12 volt, 120W (10A) power draw. ∙ Do not use double adapters or more
than one electrical accessory.
∙ Use power outlets with the engine running to avoid discharging the ve-
hicle battery.
∙ Avoid using power outlets when the air conditioner, headlights or rear win-
dow defroster is on.
∙ Before inserting or disconnecting a plug, be sure the electrical accessory
being used is turned OFF.

The extended storage switch is used when
shipping the vehicle. It is located in the fuse
panel on the driver’s side of the instrument
panel. If any electrical equipment does not
operate, ensure the extended storage
switch is pushed fully in place, as shown.
To inspect the extended storage switch,
ensure the ignition switch and headlight
switch are off, remove the fuse box cover

with a cloth to avoid damaging the trim.
FRONT-DOOR POCKETS SEATBACK POCKETS
There is a pocket located on the back of the
driver and passenger seats. These pockets
can be used to store maps.
WARNING
To ensure proper operation of the pas-
senger’s advanced air bag system,
please observe the following items:
∙ Do not allow a passenger in the 2nd
row to push or pull on the seatback
pocket.

OVERHEAD SUNGLASSES
STORAGE
To open the sunglasses holder, push and
release.
Only store one pair of sunglasses in the
holder.
WARNING
Keep the sunglasses holder closed
while driving to avoid obstructing the
driver’s view and to help prevent an
accident.
CAUTION
∙ Do not use for anything other thansunglasses.
∙ Do not leave sunglasses in the sun- glasses holder while parking in direct
sunlight. The heat may damage the
sunglasses.

the sunshade arm, the arm rail and
sunshade inlet port.
∙ Do not allow children near the rear sunshade system. They could be
injured.
∙ Do not place objects on or near the rear sunshade. This could cause im-
proper operation or damage it.
∙ Do not pull or push the rear sunshade. This could cause improper operation
or damage it.
CAUTION
∙ Do not place objects (such as newspa-pers, handkerchiefs, etc.) on the sun-
shade inlet port. Doing so may en-
tangle these objects in the sunshade
when it is extending or retracting,
causing improper operation or dam-
age to the sunshade.
∙ Do not push the sunshade arm with your hands, etc., as this may deform it.
Improper operation or damage to the
sunshade may result. ∙ Do not put any object into the sun-
shade inlet port as this may result in
improper operation or damage the
sunshade.
∙ Do not hang any object on the arm rail as this may result in improper opera-
tion or damage the sunshade.
∙ Do not forcefully pull the sunshade. Doing so may elongate the sunshade.
Improper operation or damage to the
sunshade may result.
If the moonroof does not close
Have your moonroof checked and re-
paired. It is recommended that you visit a
NISSAN dealer for this service. When the ON switch1is pressed, the foot-
well lights (if so equipped), step lights (if so
equipped), map lights and rear personal
lights will automatically turn on and stay on
for a period of time when:
∙
The doors are unlocked by the Intelligent
Key, a key or the request switch (if so
equipped) while all doors are closed and
the ignition switch is in the OFF position.
∙ When individually pushed.
When the OFF switch
2is pushed, the in-
terior lights do not illuminate even when
pushed. When the DOOR/OFF switch is
pressed and the ON switch is pressed, all of
the lights will come on.

NOTE:
The footwell lights and step lights illumi-
nate when the driver and passenger
doors are open regardless of the interior
light switch position. These lights will
turn off automatically af ter a period of
time while doors are open to prevent the
battery from becoming discharged.
CAUTION
Do not use for extended periods of time
with the engine stopped. This could re-
sult in a discharged battery.
CONSOLE LIGHT
The console light will turn on whenever the
parking lights or headlights are illuminated.
The console light brightness can be ad-
justed with the illumination brightness
control.
MAP LIGHTS
Press the button to turn the map lights on.
To turn them off, press the button again.
CAUTION
Do not use for extended periods of time
with the engine stopped. This could re-
sult in a discharged battery.
