If th e sliding sunroof is closed again immedi‐
ately af ter it has been bloc ked or reset, it will
close with increased forc e. #
Make sure that no parts of the body are
in the closing area. #
Release the button immediately if
somebody becomes trapped.

during the automatic closing process.
The closing process will be stopped. The sliding sunroof cannot be closed and

Immediately af ter auto matic reve rsing, pull
and hold the3 button down again tothe
point of resis tance until the sliding sunroof is
closed.
The sliding sunroof will be closed with

If th e sliding sunroof is obstructed again and
re opens again slightly: #
Repeat the pr evious step.

driver's seat, the head restra ints, the

R You are sitting as faraw ay from the driver's
airbag as possible, taking thefo llowing
points into consideration.
R You are sitting in an upright position
R Your thighs are slight lysuppor tedby the seat

Your legs are not fully extended and you can
depress the pedals properly
R The back of your head is suppo rted at eye
le ve lby the cent reofthe head restra int
R You can hold thesteering wheel with your
arms slightly bent

Pull the head restra int upwards as far as it

Push release knob 1inthe direction of the
ar row and pull out the head restra int.
Fi tting #
Inse rtthe head restra int such that the
notches on the bar are on the left when
vie we d in the direction of tra vel. #
Push the head restra int down until it

Switching
the seat heating on/off &
WARNING Risk of bu rns due torepeat‐
edly switching on the seat heating
Re peatedly switching on the seat heating can
cause the seat cushion and seat backrest
padding tobecome very hot.
In particular, the health of persons with limi‐
te dte mp erature sensitivity or a limited ability
to react tohigh temp eratures may be af fec‐
te d or they may even suf fer burn-like injuries. #
Do not repeatedly switch on the seat
heating. To
protect against overheating, the seat heating
may be temp orarily deactivated af ter it is
switched on repeatedly.

objects or documents when the seat
heater is switched on When
the seat heater is switched on, over‐
heating may occur due toobjects or docu‐ ments placed on
the seats e.g. seat cushions
or child seats. This could cause damage to
th e seat sur face. #

Press button 1repeatedly until the desired
heating le vel is set.

re ar seat and the seat backrest are
engaged before everytrip. Alw
ays ensure that all vehicle occupants ha ve
th eir seat belts fastened cor rectly and are sitting
prope rly. Pa rticular attention must be paid to
ch ildren.
If yo u no lon gerre qu ire thefo lded-d own seat
ba ckrest as a loading area, fold the backrest
back into place.
Re quirements:
R The area into which the seat backrest is fol‐
ded is clear.
R The rear seat backrest head restra ints are
fully inse rted.
R Tofold the cent reseat backrest forw ards:
th e cent reseat backrest has been unloc ked.
R The armrest on the second row of seats is
fo lded back and the cup holders are em pty. Yo
u can fold the cent reand outer seat backrests
fo rw ards separatel y. #
Vehicles without a memory function:

Vehicles with a memory function: if at
lea stone section of there ar seat backrest is
fo lded forw ards, the cor responding front seat will mo
