Fuel Economy Monitor
The Control Status*1 and Fuel Consumption are switched and displayed by operating each
icon in the display.
In addition, after completing a t rip, the total energy efficiency to date is displayed in the
ending display when the ending display is turned on.
1. Select the
icon on the home screen to display the Applications screen.
2. Select the “Fuel Economy Monitor”.
3. Select the
icon at the bottom left of the screen to display the menu in t he lower part
of the screen.
4. Select the icon in the menu and perform the operation. Each i con operates as follows:
Indication on display Control status
Hides the menu display.
Displays the Applications screen.
Switches the Fuel Economy Monitor in the order of
Control Status*1 and Fuel Consumption.
Resets the fuel economy data.
Displays the followi ng setting screen.
Ending display on/off switching(With Type C instrument cluster)
On/off switching for function which synchronizes
(links) reset of fuel econo my data with trip meter
(TRIP A)
*1 With Cylinder Deactivation.
NOTE
The fuel economy monitor screen after the ignition is switched from ON to OFF is changed
to the original fuel economy monitor screen wh en the ignition is switched ON the next time.

▼Fuel Consumption Display
Information regarding the fuel economy is displayed.
Indication on display
Control status
Displays the fuel economy for the past 60 minutes.
Displays the fuel economy every minute for the past
1 to 10 minutes.
Displays the fuel economy every 10 minutes for the
past 10 to 60 minutes.
Displays the average fuel economy over the past 5
resets and after the current reset.
Calculates the average fuel economy every minute
after vehicle travel begins, and displays it.
NOTE
(With Type A/B instrument cluster)
The fuel economy data is synchronized (linked) with the average fuel economy
displayed in the tripmeter (TRIP A).
To reset the fuel economy data, press the icon in the menu. (The average fuel
economy and TRIP A displayed in the tripmeter (TRIP A) reset at the same time.)
After resetting the fuel economy data, “- - -” is displayed while the average fuel
economy is being calculated.
(With Type C instrument cluster)
The fuel economy data is synchronized (linked) with the average fuel economy
displayed in the trip computer.
To reset the fuel economy data, press the icon in the menu. (The average fuel
economy displayed in the trip comp uter resets at the same time.)
After resetting the fuel economy data, “- - -” is displayed while the average fuel
economy is being calculated.

The operation status of the cyli
nder deactivation is displayed.
Indication on display Control status
The condition of each cylinder is displayed by col‐
ors. The operating cylinders are displayed in red.
Calculates the average fu el economy every minute
after vehicle travel b egins, and displays it.
Instrument Cluster (Type A)
Synchronized (linked) with the average fuel econo‐
my displayed in the trip meter (TRIP A).

If the ending display
on the fuel economy m onitor is on when the ignition is switched from
ON to OFF, the information regarding the fuel economy is displa yed.

CAUTION
SKYACTIV-D 2.2 uses
specified oil. Please
confirm the specification in owner's
manual. If engine oil other than the
specified oil is used, the Diesel Particulate
Filter effective period of use will be
shortened or the Diesel Particulate Filter
may be damaged.
NOTE
Whenever the engine oil is replaced, the
vehicles engine control unit needs to be
reset as soon as possible. Otherwise, the
engine oil warning light or the wrench
indicator light may di splay at the wrong
timing.

Tires
For reasons of proper performance, safety,
and better fuel economy, always maintain
recommended tire inflation pressures and
stay within the recommended load limits
and weight distribution.
WA R N I N G
Using Different Tire Types:
Driving your vehicle with different types of
tires is dangerous. It could cause poor
handling and poor braking; leading to loss
of control.
Except for the limited use of the temporary
spare tire, use only the same type tires
(radial, bias-belted, bias-type) on all four
wheels.
Using Wrong-Sized Tires:
Using any other tire size than what is
specified for the vehicle (page 9-9) is
dangerous. It could seriously affect ride,
handling, ground clearance, tire clearance,
and speedometer calibration. This could
cause you to have an accident. Use only
tires that are the correct size specified for
the vehicle.

Overinflation or underinflation of tires is
