Press the switch to flash all of the turn
signal lights.
To turn them off, press the switch once
again.
■Emergency flashers
LC500: If the emergency flashers are used
for a long time while the engine is not run-
ning, the 12-volt battery may discharge.
LC500h: If the emergency flashers are
used for a long time while the hybrid system
is not operating (while the “READY” indica-
tor is not illuminated), the 12-volt battery
may discharge.
1 Steadily step on the brake pedal
with both feet and firmly depress it.
Do not pump the brake pedal repeatedly
as this will increase the effort required to
slow the vehicle.
2Shift the shift position to N.
If the shift position is shifted to N
3 After slowing down, stop the vehi-
cle in a safe place by the road.
4 Stop the engine .
If the shift position cannot be shifted
to N
3 Keep depressing the brake pedal
with both feet to reduce vehicle
speed as much as possible.

If a warning light turns on or a warning buzzer sounds
Calmly perform the following actions if any of the warning lights comes on or
flashes. If a light comes on or flashes, bu t then goes off, this does not necessar-
ily indicate a malfunction in the system. However, if this continues to occur,
have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.

The brake fluid level is low; or

This light also comes on when the pa rking brake is not released. If the

dealer. Continuing to drive the vehicle may be dangerous.
Indicates that the brake pads are worn out (only the right-side pads

*: Driver’s seat belt buzzer:
The driver’s seat belt buzzer sounds to alert th e driver that his or her seat belt is not fas-
tened. Once the engine switch is turned to IGNITION ON mode
mode>, the buzzer sounds for 6 seconds. If the vehicle reaches a speed of 12 mph (20
km/h), the buzzer sounds once. If the seat belt is still unfastened afte r 24 seconds, the
buzzer will sound interm ittently for 6 seconds. Then, if the seat belt is still unfastened, the
buzzer will sound in a different tone for 90 more seconds.
Front passenger’s seat belt buzzer:
The front passenger’s seat belt buzzer sounds to alert the front passenger that his or her
seat belt is not fasten ed. The buzzer sounds once if the vehicle reaches a speed of 12 mph
(20 km/h). If the seat belt is still unfastened after 24 seconds, the buzzer will sound inter-
mittently for 6 seconds. Then, if the seat belt is still unfastened, the buzzer will sound in a dif-
ferent tone for 90 more seconds.

The rear passenger’s seat belt buzzer sounds to alert the rear passenger that his or her seat
belt is not fastened. The buzzer sounds for 6 seconds if the vehicle reaches a speed of 12
mph (20 km/h). Then, if the seat belt is still un fastened, the buzzer will sound in a different
tone for 24 more seconds.
