■Rear door child-protector lock
The door cannot be open ed from inside the
vehicle when the lock is set.

Lock
These locks can be set to prevent chil-
dren from opening the rear doors.
Push down on each rear door switch to
lock both rear doors.

*: To stop the window partway, operate the
switch in the opposite direction.
■ Window lock switch
Press the switch down to lock the passen-
ger window switches.
The indicator will come on.
Use this switch to prevent children from
accidentally opening or closing a pas-
senger window.
The passenger windows can still be
opened and closed using the power win-
dow switches on the driver’s side even if
the lock switch is on.

If the electronic key does not operate properly
■Unlocking and locking the doors
Use the mechanical key ( P.12) in order to
perform the following operations (driver’s
door only):
Locks all the doors
Closes the windows and moon roof*
(turn and hold)
Unlocks the doors
Turning the key rear ward unlocks the
driver’s door. Turning the key once
again unlocks the other doors.
Opens the windows and moon roof*
(turn and hold)
*: These settings must be customized at your Lexus dealer.

If the engine does not start
Make sure that the correct operating procedures have been followed.Make sure that the brake pedal is firmly
depressed when attempting to start the
engine. (P.16)
Make sure that the stee ring lock is released.
To release the steering lock, gently turn the
wheel left or right wh ile pressing the engine
switch. ( P.15)
