The icon appears next to an unread message.
If you delete a message on the phone, the message is
also deleted in the system. If you send a message
from the system, the message goes to your phone’s
outbox.
To see the previous or next message, select
(previous) or (next) on the message screen.

You cannot add, edit, or delete reply messages.

Compass*
When you turn the ignition switch to ON (w, the compass self-calibrates, and the
compass display appears.
Compass Calibration
If the compass indicates the wrong direction, or the CAL indicator blinks, you need
to manually calibrate the system.
1.Turn the ignition switch to ON

until the display shows the compass setting

3. Rotate to select Calibration, then press

4. When the display changes to Push CAL

5. Drive the vehicle slowly in two circles.

uuWhen Driving uAdaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low Speed Follow
Driving
When driving at 25 mph (40 km/h) or above: Take your foot off the pedal and
press the –/SET button when you reach the desire d speed. The moment you release
the button, the set speed is fixed, and ACC with Low Speed Follow begins.
When driving slower than 25 mph (40 km/h): If the vehicle is moving and the
brake pedal is not depressed, pressing th e button fixes the set speed to 25 mph
(40 km/h) regardless of current vehicle speed . If your vehicle is stationary and a
vehicle is detected ahead, your vehicle sp eed can be set, even with the brake pedal
depressed.

The indicators for the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
with Low Speed Follow, Road Departure Mitigation
(RDM), Vehicle Stability Assist
TM (VSA ®) system,
Vehicle Stability AssistTM (VSA ®) OFF, low tire
pressure/TPMS, Collision Mitigation Braking SystemTM
(CMBSTM), and Parking Brake and Brake System
(Amber) may come on along with a message in the
Driver Information Interf ace after reconnecting the
battery. Drive a short distance at more than 12 mph
(20 km/h). The indicator shoul d go off. If it does not,
have your vehicle ch ecked by a dealer.

Driving
To cancel ACC with Low Speed Follow, do any
of the following:
• Press the CANCEL button.
• Press the MAIN button.
u ACC with Low Speed Follow indicator
goes off.
• Depress the brake pedal while the vehicle is
moving forward.

Resuming the prior set speed: After you have
canceled ACC with Low Speed Follow, you can
resume the prior set speed while it is still displayed.
Press the RES/+ button.
The set speed cannot be set or resumed when ACC
with Low Speed Follow has been turned off using the
MAIN button. Press the MAIN button to activate the
system, then set the desired speed.

Driving
Press and hold the (interval) button for one
second. Cruise Mode Selected appears on
the driver information interface for two
seconds, and then the mode switches to
Cruise.
To switch back to ACC with Low Speed
Follow, press and hold the button again for
one second.
■When to use
Desired speed in a range above roughly 25 mph (40 km/h) ~.
Take your foot off the pedal and press the –/SET button when you reach the desired
speed.
The moment you release the –/SET button, the set speed is fixed, and cruise control
begins. The CRUISE CONTROL indicator comes on.
When you use cruise control, Straight Drivin g Assist (a feature of the Electric Power
Steering system) is activated.
By enabling the steering system to automa tically compensate for natural steering
pull, Straight Driv ing Assist makes it easier for you to keep your vehicle in a straight
line.

Always be aware which mode you are in. When you
are driving in Cruise mode, the system will not assist
you to maintain a following-interval from a vehicle
