Continuously Variable Transmission*
The engine runs at a higher id le speed and creeping increases.
Keep the brake pedal firmly depressed when stopped.
Quickly depressing the accelerator peda l while driving uphill may cause the
transmission to drop to a lower ratio, unexpectedly increasing vehicle speed.
Depress the accelerator pedal carefully, es pecially on slippery roads and curves.

Models with continuously variable transmission
1Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) Fluid
NOTICE
Do not mix HCF-2 with other transmission fluids.
Using a transmission fluid other than HCF-2 may
adversely affect the operati on and durability of your
vehicle’s transmission, and damage the transmission.
Any damage caused by usi ng a transmission fluid that
is not equivalent to HCF-2 is not covered by Honda's
new vehicle limited warranty.
Models with manual transmission
1 Manual Transmission Fluid
If Honda MTF is not availa ble, you may use the API
certificated SAE 0W-20 or 5W-20 viscosity motor oil
as a temporary measure.
Replace with MTF as soon as possible. Motor oil does
not contain the proper addi tives for the transmission
and continued use can cause decreased shifting
performance and lead to transmission damage.
