Activating and deactivating the
ventilated rear seats*
The seats can be ventilated to provide increasedcomfort in warm weather.
The ventilation system consists of fans in theseats and backrest that draw air through the seatupholstery. The cooler the passenger compart-ment is, the greater the cooling effect of the ven-tilation. The system can be activated when theengine is running.

seats
Seat buttons in the Rear climate group in Climate view.
1. Open Climate view in the center display andselect the Rear climate tab.
2.Tap the left- or right-side seat button toopen the seat controls.
If the vehicle is not equipped with heatedseats, the button for seat ventilation isdirectly accessible in the climate bar.
3.Tap the seat ventilation button repeatedly toselect one of the four levels: Off, High,Medium or Low.
> The level is changed and the set level isdisplayed in the button.

–Press repeatedly on the left or right seatventilation buttons on the climate panel onthe tunnel console to select one of four lev-els: Off, High, Medium or Low.

The climate system's recirculation function helpsshut out smog, smoke, exhaust fumes, etc. byreusing the air in the passenger compartment.
When the recirculation timer is activated, air recir-culation will switch off automatically after 20minutes.
1.Tap Settings in the Top view in the centerdisplay.
2.Tap Climate.
3.Tap Recirculation Timer to activate/deacti-vate the recirculation timer.

Triangular areas at the far sides of the wind-shield are not heated and will take slightlylonger to defrost/de-ice.

The heated windshield may affect the per-formance of transponders and other commu-nication equipment.

Activating and deactivating
automatic windshield heating*
Windshield heating is used to quickly removecondensation and ice from the windshield.
Windshield heating can be set to automaticallyactivate when the engine is started. With auto-matic start activated, heating will be activatedwhen there is a risk of ice or condensation on thewindows or mirrors. Heating is automaticallyswitched off when the window or door mirror issufficiently warm and the condensation or ice isgone.
1.Tap Settings in the Top view in the centerdisplay.
2.Tap Climate.
3.Select Auto Front Defroster to activate/deactivate automatic windshield heating.

Setting the blower speed for therear seats
The blower can be set to several different auto-matically controlled speeds for the rear seat.

1. Open Climate view in the center display andselect the Rear climate tab.
2.Tap the desired blower speed, 1-5.
The blower speed for the rear seats can beswitched off by tapping 2nd row climate.
> The blower speed will be changed and thebuttons for the set speed will light up.

1. Tap the unlock button on the tunnel con-sole's climate panel to access the controls.

NOTE
The blower speed for the rear seat cannot beset if the blower speed for the front seat isOff.
The rear seat blower speed can only beturned off from the climate view in the centerdisplay.
NOTE
The climate system automatically adapts air-flow as needed within the set blower speed,which means that airflow speed may varyslightly within the same blower speed.

Temperature control.
3. Set the temperature by:
dragging the control to the desired tem-perature
tapping +− to raise/lower the tempera-ture.
> The temperature will be set and the but-ton will display the new temperature.

Setting the temperature for the rear

1. Tap the unlock button on the tunnel con-sole's climate panel to access the controls.

Synchronize temperature
The temperature in the different climate zones ofthe vehicle can be synchronized with the tem-perature set for the driver's side.

1. Tap the driver's side temperature button inthe center display's climate bar to open thecontrol.
2.Tap Synchronize temperature .
> The temperature for all of the vehicle's cli-mate zones will be synchronized with theone set for the driver's side and the syn-chronization symbol will be displayed nextto the temperature button.
Synchronization is stopped with another press onSynchronize temperature or by changing thetemperature setting for a climate zone other thanthe driver's.

In rear door *
Lock button with indicator light in rear door.
Illuminated indicator lights in each door indicatethat that particular door is locked. If any door isunlocked and opened, the indicator light in thatdoor will go out. The lights in the other doors willremain illuminated.

Lock confirmation settings
Settings for how the vehicle confirms lockingand unlocking can be adjusted in the center dis-play's Settings menu.
Locking response:
1.Tap Settings in the center display's Topview.
2. Tap My CarLocking.
3.Tap Visible Locking Feedback to deacti-vate the function or to select when the vehi-cle should provide a visible response: duringLock, Unlock or Both.
4. Select to receive an audible response whenlocking the vehicle by marking AudibleLocking Feedback.

1.Tap Settings in the center display's Topview.
2. Tap My CarMirrors and Convenience.
3.Select Fold Mirror When Locked to acti-vate or deactivate the function.

Remote key
The remote key is used to lock and unlock doorsand the trunk lid. The remote key must be in thevehicle in order to start the engine.

The remote key is not physically used to start theignition because the vehicle is standard-equippedwith keyless start (Passive Start).
To start the vehicle, the key must be in the frontsection of the passenger compartment, e.g. in thedriver's pocket or in a cup holder in the tunnelconsole.

Using the electric or combustion
engine
An advanced control system determines the dis-tance that the vehicle can be driven on the com-bustion engine, electric motor, or both at thesame time.
Its primary function is to use the motor/engineand the current available in the hybrid battery asefficiently as possible based on the characteris-tics of the various drive modes and the poweroutput requested by the driver by pressing theaccelerator pedal.
In certain cases, temporary limitations in the sys-tem or mandatory functions to help maintain alow overall emissions level may result in greateruse of the combustion engine.

Changing drive mode
Select the drive mode that is best suited to thecurrent driving conditions.
The drive mode is changed using the control inthe tunnel console.
Keep in mind that not all drive modes are availa-ble in all situations.
To change drive mode:
1.Press the DRIVE MODE control.
> A pop-up menu will appear in the centerdisplay.
2.Roll the wheel upward or downward to thedesired drive mode.
