Insert the key into the cylinder
and turn to the “OFF” position.
The “OFF” indicator light turns on
(only when the engine switch is in
the “ON” position).
Vehicles with a smart entry &
start system
Insert the mechanical key into the cylinder and rotate to the “OFF”
position.
The “OFF” indicator light turns on (only when the engine switch is in IGNI-
TION ON mode).
■ “PASSENGER AIR BAG” indicator information
If any of the following problems occur, it is possible that there is a malfunction
in the system. Have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Toyota retailer or
Toyota authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer.
● Neither “ON” nor “OFF” comes on.
● The indicator light does not change when the airbag manual on-off switch is
switched to “ON” or “OFF”.

(vehicles without a smart entry & start system) or IGNITION ON mode
(vehicles with a smart entry & start system) to indicate that a system check
is being performed. They will turn off after the engine is started, or after a
few seconds. There may be a malfunction in a system if a light does not
come on, or if the lights do not turn off. Have the vehicle inspected by any

*11: The light flashes in yellow to indicate that the vehicle is deviating from the
lane.
*12: Vehicles with monochrome display.
*13: Vehicles with color display.
*14: When the outside temperature is approximately 3°C (37°F) or lower, the
indicator will flash for approximately 10 seconds, then stay on.
■ Eco Driving Indicator Light (vehicles with a Multidrive)
Eco Driving Indicator Light will not operate in the following conditions:
● The shift lever is in anything other than D.
● The vehicle is being driven in “SPORT” mode (P. 253)
● The paddle shift switch is operated while the shift lever in D.
● The vehicle speed is approximately 130 km/h (80 mph) or higher.
During Eco-Friendly acceleration (Eco
driving), Eco Driving Indicator Light will
turn on. When the acceleration exceeds
Zone of Eco driving, or when the vehicle
is stopped, the light turns off.
Eco Driving Indicator Light availability can
be customized. The default setting is on.

Should a safety system light such as the ABS and SRS warning light not
come on when you start the engine, this could mean that these systems are
not available to help protect you in an accident, which could result in death
or serious injury. Have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Toyota
retailer or Toyota authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer immediately if
this occurs.
