High load retaining net
Hooked onto the upper fixings and the lower
rings or lugs, this allows the use of the entire
loading volume up to the roof:
-

ehind the rear seats (row 2).

ehind the front seats (row 1) when the rear
seats are folded.
When positioning the net, check that the
strap loops are visible from the boot; this
will make slackening or tightening them
easier.
Installation behind row 1
F Open the covers of the upper fixings 1 .
F U nroll the high load retaining net.

osition one of the ends of the net's metal
bar in the corresponding upper fixing 1 , then
do the same with the other end.

ully extend the straps.

Wind each strap around bar 3 located under
t he front seat cushion (row 1), then secure each
spring hook to the corresponding strap ring.

Ease of use and comfort

A warning lamp appears in the door mirror on
the side in question:

ixed , immediately, when being overtaken,

lashing , after a
delay of about one second,
when overtaking a


vehicle slowly, and when
the direction indicator is used.
This system is designed to improve safety
when driving and is in no circumstances
a
substitute for the use of the interior
rear view mirror and door mirrors. It is
the driver's responsibility to constantly
check the traffic, to assess the relative
distances and speeds of other vehicles
and to anticipate their movements before
deciding whether to change lane. The alert is given by a
warning lamp which
comes on in the door mirror on the side in
question as soon as a vehicle – car, lorry,
bicycle – is detected and the following
conditions are fulfilled:
-
a
ll the vehicles must be moving in the same
direction and in adjacent lanes,
-
t
he speed of the vehicle must be between
7 and 87 mph (12 and 140 km/h),
-
y
ou overtake a vehicle with a speed
difference of less than 6 mph (10 km/h),
-
a v
ehicle overtakes you with a speed
difference of less than 16 mph (25 km/h),
- t he traffic must be flowing normally,
-

i
n the case of an overtaking manoeuvre,
if this is prolonged and the vehicle being
overtaken returns to the blind spot,
-

y
ou are driving on a straight or slightly
curved road,
-

y
our vehicle is not towing a trailer, a
caravan, etc.

- The system may suggest an inappropriate parking space (parking prohibited, work
in progress with damaged road sur face,
location alongside a
ditch, etc.).

he system may indicate that a space
was found but will not offer it because of
a
fixed obstacle on the opposite side of
the manoeuvre which would not allow the
vehicle to follow a
trajectory required for
parking.
-

T
he system is not designed for per forming
the parking manoeuvre on a


sharp curve.
-

T
he system does not detect spaces that are
much larger than the vehicle itself or that
are delimited by obstacles that are too low
(pavements, studs, etc.) or too thin (trees,
posts, wire fences, etc.).
-

C
ertain obstacles located in the sensors'
blind spots may not be detected or no
longer be detected during the manoeuvre.
-

C
ertain materials (fabrics) absorb sound
waves: pedestrians may not be detected.
-

A f
ront or rear impact to the vehicle can
upset the sensor settings which is not
always detected by the system: distance
measurements may be falsified. The vehicle's sensors and camera(s) may be
impaired by:
-

a
ccumulated snow or fallen leaves on the
road,
-
a

dverse weather conditions (heavy rain,
thick fog, falling snow),
-
nois

e interference from noisy vehicles and
machinery (lorries, pneumatic drills, etc.).
Do not use the function under the
following exterior conditions:
-

A
longside a soft shoulder (ditch, etc.)
or quay or on a
cliff edge.
-

W
hen the road sur face is slippery (ice,
e t c .)
Do not use the function in presence of one
of the following malfunctions:
-

U
nder-inflation of a tyre.
-

I
f one of the bumpers is damaged,
-

I
f one of the cameras is faulty.
Maintenance
recommendations
- Regularly check that the sensors and cameras are clean.
I

f necessary, clean the camera lenses with
a
soft, dry cloth.
-

I
f using a high-pressure washer, do not
direct the spray less than 30
cm from the
sensors and cameras.
-

I
n bad weather, or during the winter, ensure
that the sensors and cameras are not
covered with mud, ice or snow. Do not use the function in presence of one
of the following modifications:
-

W
hen carrying an object extending
beyond the vehicle size (ladder on
the roof bars, bicycle carrier on the
tailgate, etc.).
-
W
ith a non-approved towball in place.
-
W
ith snow chains fitted.
-
W
hen driving on a small-diameter or
"space-saver" type spare wheel.
-
W
hen the wheels fitted are a different
size from the original ones.
-
A
fter modifying one or both bumpers
(added protection, etc.).

f the sensors have been repainted
outside the PEUGEOT dealer network.

W
ith sensors not approved for your
vehicle.

f the boot is heavily loaded, the tilt of the
vehicle towards the rear may inter fere with
the distance measurements.
Driving

Remove the quickly detachable towball
when not towing a trailer.
Energy economy mode
System which manages the duration of use of
certain functions to conser ve a sufficient level
of charge in the battery.
After the engine has stopped, you can
still use functions such as the audio and
telematics system, windscreen wipers, dipped
beam headlamps, courtesy lamps, etc. for
a
maximum combined duration of about forty
minutes. For more information about the Engine
technical data and towed loads
and
particularly the maximum load applied
on the towing device, refer to the
corresponding section. If a telephone call is being made at this
time, it will be maintained for around
10 minutes with the Bluetooth hands-free
system of your audio system.
Exiting the mode
These functions will be automatically restored
the next time the vehicle is used.
In order to restore the use of these functions
immediately, start the engine and let it run:
-

f
or less than ten minutes, to use the
equipment for approximately five minutes,
-

f
or more than ten minutes, to use the
equipment for up to approximately thirty
minutes.
Let the engine run for the duration specified to
ensure that the battery charge is sufficient.
Do not repeatedly and continuously restart the
engine in order to charge the battery.
A flat battery prevents the engine from
starting.

Load reduction mode
System which manages the use of certain
functions according to the level of charge
remaining in the battery.
When the vehicle is being driven, the load
reduction function temporarily deactivates
certain functions, such as air conditioning,
heated rear screen, etc.
The deactivated functions are reactivated
automatically as soon as conditions permit.
Roof bars/Roof rack
Recommendations
Distribute the load uniformly, taking care
to avoid overloading one of the sides.
Arrange the heaviest part of the load as
close as possible to the roof.
Secure the load firmly.
Drive gently: the vehicle will be more
susceptible to the effects of side winds
and its stability may be affected.
Regularly check the security and tight
fastening of the roof bars and racks, at
least before each trip.
Remove the roof bars once they are no
longer needed.
Switching to this mode
A message appears in the instrument panel
screen indicating that the vehicle has switched
to economy mode and the active functions are
put on standby.
Practical information

The speed limit sticker must be secured
to the interior of the vehicle in the driver's
field of vision, to remind you that a wheel
is in temporary use.
Take care, the sealant product is harmful
if swallowed and causes irritation to the
eyes.
Keep this product out of the reach of
children.
The use-by date of the fluid is marked on
the bottle.
After use, do not discard the bottle in
standard waste, take it to a
PEUGEOT
dealer or an authorised waste disposal
site.
Do not forget to obtain a
new bottle of
sealant, available from a
PEUGEOT
dealer or a
qualified workshop.
Checking/adjusting tyre
pressures
You can also use the compressor,
without injecting sealant, to check and, if
necessary, adjust the tyre pressures.

emove the valve cap from the tyre and
place it in a
clean area.

ncoil the pipe stowed under the
compressor.
The tyre inflation pressures are given on
this label.

witch on the ignition.

tart the compressor by turning the switch
to the " l" position until the pressure of the
tyre reaches 2.0

bars. The sealant product
is injected under pressure into the tyre;
do not disconnect the pipe from the valve
during this operation (risk of blowback). If a

pressure of 2

bars is not reached after
about 7

minutes, this indicates that the
tyre is not repairable; contact a

PEUGEOT
dealer or a

qualified workshop for
assistance.

to plug the puncture.

qualified workshop for assistance.

nce the correct pressure is reached, put
the switch to the " O" position.

emove the kit then stow it.Do not drive more than 125
miles (200 km)
with the repaired tyre; see a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop to change
the tyre.
Should the pressure of one or more tyres
be adjusted, it is necessary to reinitialise
the under-inflation detection system.

With a manual gearbox, move the gear
l ever into neutral.
With an automatic gearbox, place the gear
selector into position N .
Failure to adhere to this instruction
may lead to damage to braking system
components and the lack of braking
assistance on restarting the engine.
Towing your vehicle
F In the front bumper, slide a finger from the
centre of the cover plate to the upper corner
(as shown above) to unclip it.

crew the towing eye in fully.

I
nstall the towbar. General recommendations
Obser ve the legislation in force in your
c o u nt r y.
Ensure that the weight of the towing
vehicle is higher than that of the towed
vehicle.
The driver must remain at the wheel of
the towed vehicle and must have a
valid
driving licence.
When towing a vehicle with all four wheels
on the ground, always use an approved
towbar: rope and straps are prohibited.
The towing vehicle must move off gently.
When the vehicle is towed with its engine
off, there is no longer braking and steering
assistance.
In the following cases, you must always
call on a professional recovery ser vice:

ehicle broken down on a motor way or
main road,

f
our-wheel drive vehicle,
-
w
hen it is not possible to put the
gearbox into neutral, unlock the
steering, or release the parking brake,

owing with only two wheels on the
ground,
- w here there is no approved towbar,
