Electric unfolding
The electric unfolding of the mirrors is via
the remote control or the key when unlocking
the vehicle. Unless folding was selected with
control A, pull the control back again to the
central position.
The folding/unfolding on locking/unlocking
can be deactivated. Contact a
PEUGEOT
dealer or a
qualified workshop.
If necessary, it is possible to fold the
mirrors manually.
Heated mirrors
F Press the rear screen defrosting button. For more information on Rear screen
demist - defrost
, refer to the associated
section.
Rear view mirror
Equipped with an anti-dazzle system, which
darkens the mirror glass and reduces the
nuisance to the driver caused by the sun,
headlamps of other vehicles, etc.
Manual model
Adjustment
F A djust the mirror so that the mirror is
directed correctly in the "day" position.
Day/night position
Automatic "electrochrome " model
F Pull the lever to change to the "night" anti-
dazzle position.
F

P
ush the lever to change to the normal
"day" position. This system automatically and progressively
changes between day and night use by means
of a

s
ensor measuring the light coming from the
rear of the vehicle.
In order to ensure optimum visibility during
your manoeuvres, the mirror lightens
automatically when reverse gear is
engaged.
Child-monitoring mirror
A child-monitoring mirror is installed above
the interior rear view mirror. It allows the
vehicle's rear passengers to be obser ved or to
facilitate discussion between the front and rear
passengers without modifying the mirror setting
and without turning around. It can be easily
folded to avoid dazzle.
Ease of use and comfort

Front seats
PEUGEOT i-Cockpit
Before taking to the road and to benefit
from the ergonomic layout of the PEUGEOT
i-Cockpit, adjust in the following order:

he height of the head restraint,

he seat backrest angle,
-
t

he seat cushion height,

t
he longitudinal position of the seat,

t

he reach then the height of the steering
wheel,

t
he rear view mirror and door mirrors.
Adjustments
Longitudinal
F Raise the control and slide the seat forwards or backwards.
Height
(driver only)
F If fitted to your vehicle, pull the control upwards to raise or push it downwards to
lower, as many times as necessary to obtain
the position required. For more information on the Seat belts
,
refer to the corresponding section.
Tilting the backrest
F Push the control backwards to adjust the backrest.
Lumbar
(driver only)
F Turn the knob manually to obtain the desired level of lumbar support.Once these adjustments have been made,
ensure that from your driving position you can
see the "head-up" instrument panel clearly,
over the reduced diameter steering wheel.
Ease of use and comfort

F Turn the ring to another position.
Deactivation of the function is accompanied
by the display of a
message.
Operating fault
In the event of a fault with the
sunshine sensor, the lamps come on
and this warning lamp lights up in the
instrument panel, accompanied by an
audible signal and/or a message.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
w orkshop.
In fog or snow, the sunshine sensor may
detect sufficient light. In this case, the
lighting will not come on automatically.
Do not cover the sunshine sensor, located
on the dashboard or at the top of the
windscreen behind the rear view mirror
(depending on equipment); the associated
functions would no longer be controlled.
Daytime running lamps/
sidelamps
The front lamps light up automatically when the
engine starts.
They provide the following functions:
-

D
aytime running lamps (lighting control
stalk at " AUTO" position with adequate light
level).
-

S
idelamps (lighting control stalk at " AUTO"
position with low light level or "Sidelamps
only" or "Dipped/main beam headlamps").
The LEDs are brighter when operating as
daytime running lamps.
Parking lamps
Automatic illumination of
headlamps
When a low level of ambient light is detected
b y a sunshine sensor, the number plate lamps,
sidelamps and dipped beam headlamps are
switched on automatically, without any action
on the part of the driver. They may also come
on if rain is detected, at the same time as
automatic operation of the windscreen wipers.
As soon as the brightness returns to
a
sufficient level or after the windscreen wipers
are switched off, the lamps are switched off
automatically.
F

T
urn the ring to the " AUTO" position.
Activation of the function is accompanied by
the display of a
message. Vehicle side marking by illumination of the
sidelamps on the traffic side only.
F

D
epending on version, within one minute
of switching off the ignition, operate the
lighting control stalk up or down, depending
on the traffic side (for example, when
parking on the right, push the lighting
control stalk downwards; the left-hand
sidelamps come on).
This is confirmed by an audible signal and
illumination of the corresponding direction
indicator lamp in the instrument panel.
To switch off the parking lamps, return the
lighting control stalk to the central position.

F In the minute following ignition switch-off, any operation of the wiper control stalk will
position the wiper blades vertically.

roceed with the desired operation or the
replacement of the wiper blades.
After refitting a front wiper blade
F To return the wiper blades to their initial position after an operation, switch on the
ignition and operate the wiper control stalk.
Changing a wiper blade
Removing/refitting at the front
Do not touch the wiper blades in case you
cause irreparable damage.
Do not release them while moving them –
Risk of damaging the windscreen!

lean the windscreen using a screenwash
fluid.
Do not apply "Rain X" type water-repellent
products. F

nclip the worn wiper blade closest to you
and remove it.

nstall the new wiper blade and clip it to the
arm.

epeat the procedure for the other wiper
blade.

tarting with the wiper blade closest to you,
once again hold the each arm by the rigid
section, then fold it carefully, guiding it to
the windscreen.
Removing/refitting at the rear
F Hold the arm by the rigid section and raise it as far as possible.

lean the rear window using a screenwash
fluid.
F

U
nclip the worn wiper blade and remove it.
F

I
nstall the new wiper blade and clip it to the arm.
F

O
nce again hold the arm by the rigid section
then fold it carefully, guiding it to the rear
window.
Automatic windscreen
wipers
To maintain the effectiveness of the flat
wiper blades, it is advisable to:

andle them with care,

lean them regularly using soapy
water,

a
void using them to retain cardboard
on the windscreen,
-

r
eplace them at the first signs of wear.
Before removing a front wiper
b lade
F Carry out these wiper blade replacement
operations from the driver's side.

tarting with the wiper blade farthest from
you, hold each arm by the rigid section and
raise it as far as possible.
The windscreen wipers operate automatically
once rain is detected (sensor behind the
rear view mirror), adapting their speed to the

Switching on
Give a short downwards push to the control
st alk.
A wiping cycle confirms that the instruction has
been accepted.
Depending on version, this symbol
appears in the display screen or
this indicator lamp comes on in the
instrument panel and a
message is
displayed.
Switching off
intensity of the rain without any action on the
part of the driver.
Give the control stalk another brief
p ush downwards or shift the control
stalk to a
different position (Int, 1 or 2).
This indicator lamp goes off in the
instrument panel and a
message is
displayed.
The automatic rain sensitive windscreen
wipers must be reactivated by pushing the
control stalk downwards, if the ignition has
been off for more than one minute.
Operating fault
If a fault occurs with the automatic windscreen
w ipers, the wipers will operate in intermittent
mode.
Have them checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer or
a


qualified workshop.
Do not cover the rain sensor, located at
the top of the windscreen behind the rear
view mirror (depending on equipment); the
associated functions would no longer be
controlled.
Switch off the automatic windscreen wipers
when using an automatic car wash.
In winter, it is advisable to wait until the
windscreen is completely clear of ice before
activating the automatic rain sensitive wipers.
Lighting and visibility

A warning lamp appears in the door mirror on
the side in question:

ixed , immediately, when being overtaken,

delay of about one second,
when overtaking a


vehicle slowly, and when
the direction indicator is used.
This system is designed to improve safety
when driving and is in no circumstances
a
substitute for the use of the interior
rear view mirror and door mirrors. It is
the driver's responsibility to constantly
check the traffic, to assess the relative
distances and speeds of other vehicles
and to anticipate their movements before
deciding whether to change lane. The alert is given by a
warning lamp which
comes on in the door mirror on the side in
question as soon as a vehicle – car, lorry,
bicycle – is detected and the following
conditions are fulfilled:
-
a
ll the vehicles must be moving in the same
direction and in adjacent lanes,
-
t
he speed of the vehicle must be between
7 and 87 mph (12 and 140 km/h),
-
y
ou overtake a vehicle with a speed
difference of less than 6 mph (10 km/h),
-
a v
ehicle overtakes you with a speed
difference of less than 16 mph (25 km/h),
- t he traffic must be flowing normally,
-

i
n the case of an overtaking manoeuvre,
if this is prolonged and the vehicle being
overtaken returns to the blind spot,
-

y
ou are driving on a straight or slightly
curved road,

our vehicle is not towing a trailer, a
caravan, etc.
