Driver Assistance
The driver assistance menu allows the user
to change the various driving aids and as-
sistance options.

Lane Departure Warning Allows user to turn the Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system on or off. For additional information, refer to “Lane

Lane Departure Prevention Allows user to turn Intelligent Lane Intervention (I-LI) system on or off when the engine is running The system will reset to off af ter every ignition cycle. For additional information, refer to “Intelligent Lane Intervention (I-LI) in the
“Starting and driving” section of this manual.
Blind Spot (if so equipped) Allows user to turn the blind spot feature on or off. For additional information, refer to “Blind Spot Warning (BSW)”
and “Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)” in the “Starting and driving” section of this manual.
Speed Limit Sign (if so equipped) Allows user to turn the Speed Limit Sign feature on or off. For additional information, refer to "Traffic Sign Recogni-
tion (TSR)” in the “Starting and driving” section of this manual.
Parking Aids (if so equipped) Displays the available parking aids. For additional information, refer to “Front and rear sonar system” in the “Start-
ing and driving” section of this manual.
Sensor Allows user to turn the sensor on, off, or front only.
Display Allows user to turn the display on or off.
Volume Allows user to adjust the volume to Low/Med./High.
Range Allows user to adjust the range to Near/Mid./Far.
Emergency Brake Displays the available emergency braking options.
Front Allows user to turn the front emergency braking system on or off. For additional information, refer to “Automatic
Emergency Braking (AEB)” “Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) with Pedestrian Detection” and “Intelligent For-
ward Collision Warning (I-FCW)” in the “Starting and driving” section of this manual.
Rear (if so equipped) Allows user to turn the rear emergency braking system on or off. For additional information, refer to “Rear Auto-
matic Braking (RAB)” in the “Starting and driving” section of this manual.
Driver Attention Alert (if so equipped) Allows user to turn the driver attention feature on or off. For additional information, refer to “Intelligent Driver Alert-
ness (I-DA)” in the “Starting and driving” section of this manual.
Timer Alert Allows user to set or reset an alert at a specific time interval.
Low Temperature Alert Allows user to turn the low temperature alert on or off.

Push the heated steering wheel switch to
warm the steering wheel af ter the ignition
switch is placed in the ON position. The
indicator light will come on.
If the surface temperature of the steering
wheel is below 68°F (20°C), the system will
heat the steering wheel and cycle off and
on to maintain a temperature above 68°F
(20°C). The indicator light will remain on as
long as the system is on.
Push the switch again to turn the heated
steering wheel system off manually. The
indicator light will go off.NOTE:
∙ Once activated, your heated steering
wheel will automatically turn on and
off to maintain a temperature above
68°F (20°C).
∙ When the temperature of the steering
wheel is above 122°F (50°C) and the
heated steering wheel switch is
turned on, the system will not heat
the steering wheel. This does not in-
dicate a malfunction.
The dynamic driver assistance switch is
used to temporarily activate the Intelligent
Lane Intervention (I-LI) system that is en-
abled using the settings menu of the ve-
hicle information display.
The I-LI system can be turned on with the
dynamic driver assistance switch af ter
starting the engine.
The dynamic driver assistance switch illu-
minates for a few seconds when the igni-
tion switch is placed in the ON position.

When the dynamic driver assistance
switch is turned off, the indicator
1on the
switch is off. The indicator will also be off if
the I-LI system is deactivated using the ve-
hicle information display.
The I-LI system warns the driver with a
warning light and a chime, and helps assist
the driver to return the vehicle to the center
of the traveling lane by applying the brakes
to the lef t or right wheels individually (for a
short period of time). For additional infor-
mation, refer to “Intelligent Lane Interven-
tion (I-LI)” in the “Starting and driving” sec-
tion and “Vehicle information display” in the
“Instruments and controls” section of this
manual. The vehicle should be driven with the VDC
system on for most driving conditions.
If the vehicle is stuck in mud or snow, the
VDC system reduces the engine output to
reduce wheel spin. The engine speed will
be reduced even if the accelerator is de-
pressed to the floor. If maximum engine
power is needed to free a stuck vehicle,
turn the VDC system off.
To turn off the VDC system, push the VDC
OFF switch. The
indicator light will
come on. Push the VDC OFF switch again or restart
the engine to turn on the system. For addi-
tional information, refer to “Vehicle Dy-
namic Control (VDC) system” in the “Start-
ing and driving” section of this manual.
When the VDC OFF switch is used to turn off
the VDC system, the Intelligent Trace Con-
trol and Active Ride Control systems are
also turned off. For additional information,
refer to “Integrated Dynamics-control Mod-
ule” in the “Starting and driving” section of
this manual.

HOW TO ENABLE/DISABLE THE
LDW SYSTEM
Perform the following steps to enable or
disable the LDW system.
Using the “Settings” in the vehicle infor-
mation display:1. Press the
buttons until “Settings”
displays in the vehicle information dis-
play and then press the OK button. Use
the
button to select “Driver Assis-
tance.” Then press the OK button.
2. Select “Lane” and press the OK button.
3. Select “Lane Departure Warning” and press the OK button to turn the system
on or off.
Using the “Driving Aids” screen in the ve-
hicle information display:
1. Use the
buttons on the steering
wheel to scroll to the Driving Aids
screen.
2. Press the OK button to access the Driver Assistance menu.
3. Select “Lane” and press the OK button until “Lane Warning” is displayed.
4. Press the
buttons to return to the
Driving Aids screen.LSD3347

∙ Do not place reflective materials, suchas white paper or a mirror, on the instru-
ment panel. The reflection of sunlight
may adversely affect the camera unit’s
capability of detecting the lane mark-
ers.
∙ Do not strike or damage the areas around the camera unit. Do not touch
the camera lens or remove the screw
located on the camera unit. If the cam-
era unit is damaged due to an accident,
it is recommended that you visit a
NISSAN dealer.
WARNING
Failure to follow the warnings and in-
structions for proper use of the I-LI sys-
tem could result in serious injury or
death.
∙ The I-LI system will not steer the ve-hicle or prevent loss of control. It is the
driver’s responsibility to stay alert,
drive safely, keep the vehicle in the
traveling lane, and be in control of the
vehicle at all times. ∙ The I-LI system is primarily intended
for use on well-developed freeways or
highways. It may not detect the lane
markers in certain road, weather, or
driving conditions.
The I-LI system can be turned on with the
dynamic driver assistance switch on the
lower lef t panel, every time the ignition is
placed in the ON position.
The I-LI system will operate when the ve-
hicle is driven at speeds of approximately
37 mph (60 km/h) and above, and only
when the lane markings are clearly visible
on the road.
The I-LI system warns the driver when the
vehicle has lef t the center of the traveling
lane with an indicator and a steering wheel
vibration. The system helps assist the
driver to return the vehicle to the center of
the traveling lane by applying the brakes to
the lef t or right wheels individually (for a
short period of time).
The I-LI system monitors the lane markers
on the traveling lane using the camera unit

I-LI SYSTEM OPERATION
The I-LI system operates above approxi-
mately 37 mph (60 km/h). When the vehicle
approaches either the lef t or the right side
of the traveling lane, the steering wheel will
vibrate and the LDW indicator (orange) on
the instrument panel will blink to alert the
driver. Then, the I-LI system will automati-
cally apply the brakes for a short period of
time to help assist the driver to return the
vehicle to the center of the traveling lane.
To turn on the I-LI system, push the dy-
namic driver assistance switch af ter start-
ing the engine/motor. The LDW indicator
(green) on the instrument panel will illumi-
nate. Push the dynamic driver assistance
switch again to turn off the I-LI system. The
LDW indicator (green) will turn off.

Using “Settings” in the vehicle informa-
tion display:1. Af ter starting the engine, press the
buttons until “Settings” dis-
plays in the vehicle information display
and then press the OK button. Use
the
button to select “Driver Assis-
tance.” Then press the OK button.

3. Select “Lane Departure Prevention” and press the OK button to turn the system
on or off.

information display:
1. Use the
buttons on the steering

Driving Aids screen.
I-LI SYSTEM LIMITATIONS
WARNING
Listed below are the system limitations
for the I-LI system. Failure to follow the
warnings and instructions for proper
use of the I-LI system could result in
serious injury or death.
∙ The I-LI system may activate if you change lanes without first activating
your turn signal or, for example, if a
construction zone directs traffic to
cross an existing lane marker. If this
occurs you may need to apply correc-
tive steering to complete your lane
change.
∙ Because the I-LI may not activate un- der the road, weather, and lane
marker conditions described in this
section, it may not activate every time
your vehicle begins to leave its lane
and you will need to apply corrective
steering.
∙ When the I-LI system is operating, avoid excessive or sudden steering
maneuvers. Otherwise, you could lose
control of the vehicle. ∙ The I-LI system will not operate at
speeds below approximately 37 mph
(60 km/h) or if it cannot detect lane
markers.
∙ Do not use the I-LI system under the following conditions as it may not
function properly:
– During bad weather (rain, fog, snow, etc.).
– When driving on slippery roads, such as on ice or snow.
– When driving on winding or un- even roads.
– When there is a lane closure due to road repairs.
– When driving in a makeshif t or temporary lane.
– When driving on roads where the lane width is too narrow.
– When driving without normal tire conditions (for example, tire wear,
low tire pressure, installation of
spare tire, tire chains, non-
standard wheels).

– When the vehicle is equipped withnonoriginal brake parts or suspen-
sion parts.
– When you are towing a trailer or other vehicle.
– On roads where there are multiple parallel lane markers; lane mark-
ers that are faded or not painted
clearly; yellow painted lane mark-
ers; non-standard lane markers; or
lane markers covered with water,
dirt, snow, etc.
– On roads where discontinued lane markers are still detectable.
– On roads where there are sharp curves.
– On roads where there are sharply contrasting objects, such as shad-
ows, snow, water, wheel ruts,
seams or lines remaining af ter
road repairs. (The I-LI system could
detect these items as lane
markers.)
– On roads where the traveling lane merges or separates. – When the vehicle’s traveling direc-
tion does not align with the lane
marker.
– When traveling close to the vehicle in front of you, which obstructs the
lane camera unit detection range.
– When rain, snow or dirt adheres to the windshield in front of the lane
camera unit.
– When the headlights are not bright due to dirt on the lens or if the aim-
ing is not adjusted properly.
– When strong light enters the lane camera unit. (For example, the light
directly shines on the front of the
vehicle at sunrise or sunset.)
– When a sudden change in bright- ness occurs. (For example, when
the vehicle enters or exits a tunnel
or under a bridge.)
While the I-LI system is operating, you may
hear a sound of brake operation. This is
normal and indicates that the I-LI system is
operating properly.SYSTEM TEMPORARILY
UNAVAILABLE
Condition A:
The warning and assist functions of the I-LI
system are not designed to work under the
following conditions: ∙ When you operate the lane change sig- nal and change the traveling lanes in
the direction of the signal. (The I-LI sys-
tem will be deactivated for approxi-
mately 2 seconds af ter the lane change
signal is turned off.)
∙ When the vehicle speed lowers to less than approximately 37 mph (60 km/h).
Af ter the above conditions have finished
and the necessary operating conditions
are satisfied, the warning and assist func-
tions will resume.
