When AIRSCARF is switched on,veryhot aircanflowfromthe outlet opening inthe headrestraints.
This couldresult in burns inthe immediatevicinity ofthe outlet opening.
Turnthe heating output down in goodtime.
Maintain a suitable distance fromtheoutlet opening.
NOTEDamagecausedtoAIRSCARFbythe use of protective covers
If a protective cover is placedoverthe frontseat headrestraints,theflowof air fromtheAIRSCARFvent is hindered.
This can cause AIRSCARFtooverheat and bedamaged.
Do not use protective coverson headrestraints with AIRSCARF.
Make surethatthere are no objects coveringtheintakegrille onthe back ofthe headrestraint.
You can adjustthe blower output of AIR‐SCARFvents1usingthe AIRSCARF button(→page97).
Adjustthe height of AIRSCARFvents1andthe current of airbyadjustingthe height ofthe headrestraint (→page 92).

RemoveSmartKey1fromthekeyring.
Place SmartKey1in marked space2.Thevehicle willstart after a short time.
IfyouremoveSmartKey1from markedspace2the engine continuesrunning.Forfurthervehiclestarts however,SmartKey1must be located in marked space2duringthe entire journey.
Havethe SmartKey1checked at aqualifiedspecialistworkshop.
Ifthevehicle does notstart:
Place SmartKey1in marked space2andleaveitthere.
Depressthe brake pedal andstartthevehicleusingthestart/stop button.
You can also switchonthe power supplyorthe ignition withthestart/stop button.

Keepthetailpipe andthe area aroundthevehicle free from snow whentheengine orthestationary heater arerun‐ning.
Open a window onthe windward side ofthevehicletoensure an adequate sup‐ply of fresh air.
\nWARNINGRisk of accident and injuryduetobeing underthe influence of alco‐hol and drugs while driving
Driving when underthe influence of alcoholand/or drugs is anextremelydangerouscombination. Even smallquantities of alcoholor drugs may affectyourreflexes, perceptionand judgment.
The probability of a serious orevenfatal acci‐dent greatly increases ifyou drive whenunderthe influence of alcohol or drugs.
Do not drink alcohol ortakedrugs whiledriving, and do not allow anyonetodrive who has been drinking alcohol ortaking drugs.

Ifyou leaveyourfootonthe brake pedalwhen driving,the brake system mayover‐heat.
This increasesthe braking distance andthebrake system mayevenfail.

The tire sealant is harmful and causes irrita‐tion. Do not allow ittocome into contactwith the skin,eyes or clothing, and do notswallow it. Do not inhale tire sealant fumes.Keepthe tire sealantawayfromchildren.
Ifyou come into contact withthe tire sealant,observethefollowing:
Rinse offthe tire sealant fromyour skinimmediately usingwater.
If tire sealantgets intoyoureyes,thor‐oughlyrinse outtheeyes using cleanwater.
If tire sealant has been swallowed,immediatelyrinse outthe mouththor‐oughly and drink plenty ofwater.Do notinducevomiting and seek medicalattention immediately.
Change out of any clothes contamina‐ted with tire sealant immediately.
If allergicreactions occur, seek medicalattention immediately.
