Precautions for Safety
CAUTION:
• Do not keep the navigation system running with the engine stopped. Doing so may
discharge the vehicle battery. When you
use the navigation system, always keep the
engine running.
• When the driver wants to operate the navigation system, fi rst park the vehicle in
a safe location and set the parking brake.
Operating the system while driving can
distract the driver and may result in a serious
accident.
• Do not disassemble or modify this system. If you do, it may result in accidents, fi re, or
electrical shock.
• Some states/provinces may have laws limiting the use of video screens while
driving. Use the system only where it is legal
to do so.
• Do not use your phone in private mode when you are driving. You must stop at a
safe location to use it.FCC Warning

Auto Crash Notification
Provides immediate assistance when an
accident occurs and an airbag is deployed.
In this event, an ACN signal, containing
customer and location information, will
automatically be transmitted to the response
center. Upon receipt of the signal, a response
specialist will attempt to establish voice
communications with the vehicle occupants
and forward any pertinent information to
Connected Services emergency services.
SOS
Customers request emergency Connected
Services emergence services by pressing
the dedicated “SOS" button in the vehicle.
This action transmits vehicle information
and location to specially trained response
specialists, who assist in coordinating the
dispatch of appropriate emergency assistance
to the customer.
The response specialist remains on the line
with the customer until advised assistance has
arrived.
Stolen Vehicle Recovery
In the event a customer’s vehicle is reported
stolen (and a stolen vehicle report has been
fi led with the appropriate police department),
the response center can provide assistance to
the police in an attempt to recover the vehicle.
Vehicle Slowdown
Used with Stolen Vehicle Recovery, this
enables law enforcement to gradually reduce
the engine power of the vehicle, thus slowing
it down to safe levels. A warning shall be
transmitted to the driver prior to the slowdown
procedure.
Vehicle Immobilization
Used with Stolen Vehicle Recovery, this
enables law enforcement to send a signal to
the vehicle which immobilizes the engine
management system, thus preventing startup.
This capability is only valid when the ignition
is off , but can be saved for later immobilization
if the vehicle is on or in motion at the time of
signal transmission.

Getting Started with Connected
Services
Use Connected Services features such as Driving Info
and Vehicle Diagnostics. Connected Services features
can be used after activating the service. A separate
fee may be charged for using Connected Services,
and features may diff er according to your service plan.
1. Select [HOME] > [Connected Services].
• [Driving Info]: Displays information such as Driving Time/Idle Time, Deceleration/
Acceleration Distribution, Driving Speed
and Driving Distance.
• [Send to Car with Google]: Displays information about Places received via
Connected Services Voice Local Search.
• [ Vehicle Diagnostics]: Inspects vehicle malfunctions and provides diagnostics.
• [Apps]: Displays paid or free applications with related information for installation. • [Connected Settings]: Activates
Connected Services service, sets Wi-
Fi network, and displays modem
information.
Driving Info
This service can be used while your car is
stopped and the engine is on.
1. Select [HOME] > [Connected Services] > [Driving Info].
2. Select [Menu] > [Update] to receive up-to-date driving information.

Service Activation
1. Select [HOME] > [Connected Services] > [Connected Settings] > [Service Activation].
2. Select [Activation].

• Activation may take up to fi ve minutes.
• Do not turn the engine off while activation is in progress.
• If activation fails, contact the Connected Center at 844-340-9741.
• During service activation, the hard keys in the head unit do not work.
